Infinite Awakening: My Exp Doubles Everyday Chapter 474: The End Of Chaos [PART 2]

Previously on Infinite Awakening: My Exp Doubles Everyday...
Li Yao and the Empress found themselves floating in the void, the weight of Li Yao's turmoil growing heavier as she grappled with the absence of her senior brother. Struggling with her emotions, Li Yao's cultivation surged, threatening the stability of the multiverse as her frustration mounted. Despite claiming authority over all planes of existence, she felt powerless to help him and contemplated destruction as a form of resolution. In a moment of intensity, Li Yao confronted the World Tree, erasing it entirely, but found no solace in her actions. The Empress attempted to calm her, but Li Yao's rage simmered, casting doubt on the fate of all existence.

[Wait, you need to hear what I have to say first,] the empress interjected.

She couldn't help but think that this girl was truly intent on killing her. Was their long history together really worth nothing in the end?

“Be brief, my patience is thin. If I encounter senior brother in the next life, I’ll pass along your final words,” she replied coldly.

[I have faith in Xiang Yu,] the empress declared.

“Are those your dying words? Had any other woman dared to utter my husband’s name to my face, I would never have shown mercy. However, out of respect for our past, I’ll overlook it this once. Now, farewell,” Li Yao said, her Qi beginning to swirl and condense within her palm.

[Wait, you're misunderstanding me,] the empress urged.

“You still have more to say?” Li Yao asked, her voice dripping with irritation.

[I know you grasp my meaning. I believe in Xiang Yu. I am certain he will find a path forward,] she insisted.

“Any other final thoughts?” she questioned, completely disregarding the empress's statement.

The empress clenched her teeth. The girl was deliberately acting as if she hadn't heard a word.

It was then that she realized her approach was all wrong.

[Hmph, and there I was thinking you were the one who loved your husband more than anyone else in existence,] the empress remarked with a mocking tone.

Li Yao stopped. “What is that supposed to mean?” she demanded.

[I assumed that a woman who claims to love her husband above all else would actually trust him. It seems your affection is shallow after all, considering you don’t believe he has the strength to cope,] the empress challenged.

Li Yao’s frame shook with suppressed rage.

[What? Is the truth too much to handle, so you want to kill me now? Go ahead. Then the entire world will realize that you don't actually love your senior brother the mostest,] the empress said, a wide grin spreading across her face.

She watched Li Yao closely, hoping this gamble would pay off. She understood that conventional logic was useless against Li Yao, so she attempted to turn the girl's own warped reasoning against her.

“Hmph, I was merely playing a joke. Why are you taking it so seriously?” Li Yao said, turning her back. “Naturally, I will trust and wait for my husband,” she added.

“I can’t believe that actually worked,” the empress thought to herself.

“I’m going to go wash husband’s body,” she announced, her face instantly regaining its typical bright expression before she vanished into thin air.

Witnessing this, the empress let out a long sigh of relief. She had successfully bought the chaos a little more time. She hoped the world tree could find some peace now. This was the extent of what she could do for the chaos; the rest was now in the hands of the so-called senior brother.

One week later.

Within a shadowed chamber where only a sliver of light pierced through a tiny crack, a man sat bound to the wall by heavy chains of ice.

Abruptly, a figure manifested beside the shackled prisoner.

“Senior brother, I’ve returned. Even though I was only gone for a brief moment, I missed you terribly. You missed me as well, didn't you, senior brother?” she whispered.

Li Yao glanced around the room, a sudden wave of discomfort washing over her. “Senior brother, I feel as though we are being watched. It's frightening,” she murmured, leaning in to hug the bound Xiang Yu.

Suddenly, the eyes of the chained Xiang Yu snapped open.

The moment his gaze sharpened, it locked onto the eyes of another Xiang Yu who appeared to be stationed at the boundary of time and causality. With a slight exertion of his power, Xiang Yu forced the other version of himself at the temporal border back to the point from which he originated.

One month prior.

Deep within Xiang Yu’s spiritual sea, his soul stirred and woke once more.

Following this awakening, he departed from the absolute end where he had been stationed and ventured into his chaos.

He exhaled in relief. In this realm where time accelerated a billion-fold, he hoped to maintain his lucidity for a longer duration, making it easier to devise a plan.

A full day had passed since he originally lost consciousness. Even while he was blacked out, his physical form continued to function and the system remained active. His Absolute Source Body permitted him to gain insights into various concepts every second, utilizing the Absolute Source concept as his primary anchor.

Because the Absolute Source was currently at the Dao level, all of his other concepts were being forced toward the Dao realm at an incredible pace. Currently, every one of his concepts had reached the Dao realm, and new ones were constantly being generated and elevated to that same level.

Simultaneously, his proficiency with the Absolute Source was climbing rapidly. He had already attained the Integration realm. Furthermore, due to his unique bloodline, he had extracted a significant amount of source power from his previous primordial energy.

He seized control of all that source power, channeling it directly into his enlightenment.

He then attempted to push for an advancement. While there was no immediate result, his talent seemed to sharpen as he flooded the process with more source energy. Eventually, everything clicked, and he ascended to the Source realm.

He didn't perceive a massive shift, likely because his Source level mind realm already provided him with pseudo-omniscience. He then redirected his focus toward the Absolute Source Dao.

In an instant, his mastery surged to Manifestation, quickly reaching Complete Manifestation.

A few moments later, he successfully transcended the Absolute Source Dao.

The millions of other concepts he possessed followed suit, advancing and transcending automatically.

Xiang Yu gazed at the Absolute Source Dao. Ultimately, it was nothing more than a replica.

There was no path for him to elevate it to the Source level on his own. He would have to wait for the system to reset so he could seize the genuine Source level concept and study it. With his current Source level enlightenment, he ought to be able to grasp even a fraction of that mastery.

Just as these thoughts crossed his mind, he felt his consciousness begin to slip away again.

When he eventually woke up later, he immediately checked the system status.

He sighed with relief—the day had not yet concluded. This situation was proving to be exceptionally difficult. If the day ended while he was out cold, he would miss his chance to seize the concept. If this pattern persisted, he might be stuck here indefinitely, waiting for his moments of clarity to sync with the passing days.
