Immortality Cultivation: I Farm in the System Space Chapter 5: Fixed Point Teleportation

Previously on Immortality Cultivation: I Farm in the System Space...
Manager Li and Senior Han confronted each other at Lin Jing's dwelling, with Senior Han warning Manager Li against harming Lin Jing, claiming Lin Jing's father had previously given him a Foundation Building Elixir. Lin Jing, observing in secret, realized he was trapped in his house with the two waiting for him, and decided to break through to the second level of Qi Refinement within his System Space. Upon successfully breaking through and receiving Harvest Points, Lin Jing used them to upgrade his System Space.

“Huh, it seems another new feature has been unlocked.”

Lin Jing once again pulled up the system interface to investigate the changes.

System Space (Level 2) Remaining Time: 2 hours 16 minutes (Maximum Accumulation: 200 hours) Host: Lin Jing Spirit Field Range: 20 acres Spiritual Energy Concentration: 2 Time Flow Speed: 2 Daily Entry Time: 4 hours Required for Upgrade: (10/500 Harvest Points)

Special Feature: Alert (While the host is inside the System Space, the immediate vicinity of the host’s physical body is monitored. The host will be notified of any sudden external events.)

Observation: (The host is permitted to view the real world from within the System Space.) (Note: The host’s perception of time will sync with the external world during observation.)

Time Accumulation: (Any unused daily entry time will no longer vanish at the end of the day and can be stored.)

“I see... My daily entry time has doubled to 4 hours, and the speed of time within is also twice as fast.”

“This means I can spend 8 hours every day inside the System Space, yet only 4 hours will have elapsed in the outside world when I leave.”

“When I break it down like that, isn't the profit margin massive?”

Lin Jing felt a surge of excitement at the realization—he would essentially have 4 extra hours every single day compared to everyone else. With such an advantage, why would he ever worry about his Cultivation stagnating?

Furthermore, this was merely the start; as the System Space reached higher levels, both the time flow and the daily allowance would surely increase.

Inhaling deeply, Lin Jing sensed the thick Spiritual Energy surrounding him, his heart swelling with newfound certainty.

The concentration of Spiritual Energy at level 2 was significantly higher than what was found in Manager Li’s courtyard, despite that place having a small Spirit Gathering Array.

With such a rich environment, wouldn't his Cultivation progress twice as fast within the System Space?

His worries vanished—even if he possessed a Five Elements Pseudo Spiritual Root, it didn't matter. If his natural talent was lacking, he would simply compensate for it with sheer time.

By utilizing the System Space, he could force his way through the ranks of Cultivation even if he had to pile up resources and time to do it.

“System, initiate Fixed Point Teleportation.”

Despite his thrill, Lin Jing remained focused on the tasks at hand.

Back in the physical world, three individuals were still waiting for him inside his small hut.

Suddenly, Lin Jing’s consciousness ascended, providing him with a god-like perspective centered on his thatched residence. His range of vision continued to expand rapidly.

“Ding, vision expansion finalized. Host, please designate a teleportation target.”

The expansion halted only when the system notification chimed, covering an area of exactly 20 acres—perfectly matching the size of his Spirit Field.

“This spot will work.”

Lin Jing picked a location a short distance away from his home.

“Begin teleportation.”

The moment the words left his lips, the world blurred into a haze, replaced by a nauseating feeling of falling through empty space.

He stumbled upon landing, nearly losing his balance, but he quickly steadied himself as the ground felt firm once more and the weightlessness faded.

The surroundings were bathed in shadows. Looking up, Lin Jing saw a star-studded sky, though the moon was currently masked by passing clouds.

Fortunately, his night vision had improved drastically since he began his journey of Cultivation, making the darkness a non-issue.

After orienting himself, Lin Jing began walking toward his thatched hut.

He felt no trace of panic; he had already prepared a series of excuses for the three men before he arrived.

...

Meanwhile, inside the hut, Han Jing and Manager Li sat across from each other at the table. Yuan Bo stood by Manager Li’s side, looking incredibly tense.

All three kept their eyes fixed on the entrance, awaiting Lin Jing’s appearance.

Manager Li considered speaking, but he kept his mouth shut after noticing the visible irritation on Han Jing’s face.

As the minutes ticked by without any sign of Lin Jing, the air in the room became thick with tension.

Finally, Han Jing broke the silence, unable to wait any longer.

“Are you absolutely certain he wasn't here when you first arrived?”

The sudden question from Senior Han made the already nervous Yuan Bo jump in fright.

He kept his head bowed, his usual daytime arrogance completely replaced by fear. He had spent the entire evening terrified that Senior Han might lose his temper and execute both him and his uncle on the spot.

After all, Senior Han was a powerful Cultivator at the Foundation Establishment stage; even together, the two of them were no match for him.

Yuan Bo had never wanted Lin Jing to appear so badly in his entire life.

He wasn't the only one feeling this way.

Steward Li shared his anxiety.

Even though Steward Li served an Elder and had significant backing, it would mean nothing if he provoked Senior Han into a fatal rage. Senior Han was an Inner Sect disciple with a background far more formidable than his own; the Sect would likely hesitate to punish him severely for killing a mere steward.

At worst, he might face a minor penalty or be told to reflect in seclusion.

An Inner Sect disciple held far more value to the Sect than a steward. Furthermore, with Lin Jing missing and him being caught there without a clear reason, explaining the situation to the Sect would be impossible.

Consequently, Steward Li was on edge. He frowned at Senior Han’s inquiry and replied with visible stress:

“He was definitely not in the house when we got here. If Senior Han doubts me, I am willing to swear upon my Dao heart.”

Hearing this, Senior Han swallowed the rest of his words.

Since the man was willing to stake his very Dao heart on the claim, it was clear he wasn't lying.

After another moment, Senior Han looked over at Steward Li.

“Waiting here aimlessly is pointless since he isn't present. Perhaps we should head out and search for him.”

“Steward Li, what are your thoughts?”

“I agree,” Steward Li replied with a nod.

The two men stood up to depart, but Senior Han suddenly froze. Steward Li looked at him with a confused expression.

“Senior Han, what is it?”

Senior Han replied, “There is no need to look. He has come back.”

......

Once Lin Jing was back in the real world, he put on an act of total ignorance and walked toward his cottage.

To keep up appearances, he broke into a run when he noticed the lights flickering inside his home.

As he reached the door and saw the three men standing there, Lin Jing stopped, then hurried forward to bow respectfully to the two leaders.

“Senior Han, Steward Li, what brings you to my home?”

Steward Li immediately adopted a harsh tone, barking: “Where have you been wandering at this time of night? Are you unaware that roaming the Sect grounds aimlessly is strictly forbidden?”

Watching Steward Li act so authoritative and stern, Lin Jing thought to himself that the man looked like a perfect model of a Sect official.

Had Lin Jing not been observing the whole time, he might have actually been intimidated.

He had to give it to the man; if this were his old world, Steward Li would have easily won an Oscar for such a performance.

Lin Jing bowed low and answered:

“In response to Steward Li, I felt I was on the threshold of a breakthrough earlier. I went to find a quiet, isolated spot to attempt it so that I wouldn't be disturbed and fail.”

“Steward Li, please do not worry. I know the Sect rules well. I stayed close by and did not wander off.”

“You achieved a breakthrough?”

Upon hearing this, Senior Han immediately swept his Divine Sense over Lin Jing to verify the claim.

Lin Jing bowed again. “Replying to Senior Han, I was indeed fortunate enough to succeed just now.”

“It’s true.”

After a careful inspection, Senior Han confirmed that Lin Jing’s Cultivation had indeed advanced.

He then looked at Steward Li and remarked:

“Didn't you mention earlier that you felt responsible if Lin Jing was kicked out of the Sect? Weren't you waiting here to give him some traveling funds?”

“Well, he’s back now.”
