Maeda Uichiro is approached by Purgatory Star, who relays a message from their Lord about unrest in Edo and a subtle shift in atmosphere, hinting at possible infiltration by outsiders. Maeda dismisses the threat, confident in their defenses. Zhang Yi overhears their conversation, suspecting a connection to the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons and the possibility of Neon colluding with a mysterious civilization, which complicates his own plans. He decides against taking artifacts from the museum for now, feeling the situation is more complex than anticipated and that he may be missing crucial information. Meanwhile, Maeda Uichiro muses about the importance of preserving civilization and calls Zhang Yi a "Seed Human," hinting at a cyclical existence without worries.

After Maeda Uichiro and Purgatory Star left, Zhang Yi took a deep look at the Philosophy of the Mind displayed in the exhibition case, then turned and walked toward a secluded corner of the Daliangdu Museum. Once he confirmed there was no one around, he immediately left the place.

He sent a message to everyone on the communication channel, telling them to gather. “I’ve confirmed the location of the original Philosophy of the Mind. Don’t act alone for now. As soon as night falls, we move!”

Then, Zhang Yi designated the meeting point—a quiet little restaurant on the street.

Not long after, Deng Shentong and the others arrived one after another. The small restaurant was basically full to capacity because of their presence. Zhang Yi ordered a few signature dishes and had the owner bring them out. Through his investigation, he had discovered that these people were unaware of their own physical condition, still believing they were ordinary people living in a peaceful era.

Even these foods could be eaten. Of course, in principle, that was true, but Zhang Yi wasn’t about to choose to eat food of unknown origin. Even if it wasn’t poisonous, Neon’s cuisine might upset his stomach. What if, in the middle of a fight, he ended up with diarrhea? That would be a disaster.

Deng Shentong sat across from Zhang Yi, glanced at the owner busy in the kitchen, and lowered his voice to Zhang Yi, “What’s the security situation like inside the museum?”

This was Edo City, the headquarters of the Demon-Sealing Court. The Daliangdu Museum was located in the central area of Edo City, always under the watchful eyes and ears of the Demon-Sealing Court. There was no way it was unguarded.

Zhang Yi said flatly, “There are indeed some individuals inside who look pretty capable. If we make a move, it will definitely alert those guys from the Demon-Sealing Court.”

Deng Shentong nodded. “There’s no need to beat the grass and scare the snake. As long as we confirm the original Philosophy of the Mind is there, we can sneak in tonight and take it away.”

Zhang Yi drank a glass of water. “Then we wait for nightfall!”

The two of them looked out the window. It was afternoon, and it wouldn’t be long before dusk settled in. Soon, they would witness the eerie scene of the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons once again.

The dusk deepened.

In Edo City, several new figures suddenly appeared that day. They wore matching suits, carrying katanas, jitte, or firearms. They were members of the Demon-Sealing Court—the largest Transcendent organization in Neon! Since the Ultimate Evil Boy defeated the two major organizations, Pelican and Izumo, the Demon-Sealing Court had become the true king of Neon.

And every Demon-Sealing Court member stationed in Edo City was an elite of considerable strength! Even some low-ranking members responsible for patrols had to have an ability index of at least 6,000 points.

On the streets of Ginza, snow fell as usual from the sky. A dozen or so Demon-Sealing Court members in black suits, holding long swords, walked at a steady, unhurried pace down the middle of the road. Passing pedestrians cast curious glances, assuming these people were cosplay enthusiasts. But they had to admit, these modern samurai exuded a decisive, battle-ready aura.

A few young girls looked at the passing samurai with curious eyes. When their gazes landed on the silver-curly-haired man at the front, they couldn’t help but blush. One girl mustered her courage and ran through the snow to stand in front of them.

“Hello! Um… can we exchange contact info?”

She looked boldly at the curly-haired man and held out her phone.

The samurai behind the curly-haired man exchanged strange looks, then turned their gazes to the guy who always wore a lazy expression. From their reactions, it was clear this wasn’t the first time this had happened.

The curly-haired samurai didn’t take the phone. He kept his hands in his pockets and said flatly to the girl, “Young lady, it’s getting late. You should head home. Your parents are probably worried.”

“Huh? You won’t give it to me? If you, uncle, exchange contacts with me, I’ll even go for a walk in the park with you!”

The girl persisted.

The curly-haired samurai shook his head. “Sorry, I’m not interested in girls with flat chests.”

His words made the girl’s face change instantly. She yelled, “Pervert!” and stormed off angrily.

The curly-haired samurai didn’t care at all. He just scratched his head, then looked up at the dark clouds slowly gathering over Ginza. “It’ll be night soon.”

A bald samurai behind him said, “Lord Narumi, let’s hide. Those shadows will attack anyone, regardless of who they are.”

Narumi Soji, the captain of the Demon-Sealing Court’s First Squad, lowered his gaze. A hint of gravity appeared in his expression. “But the Lord said that Edo City has been unstable lately.”

He pressed his hand against the long sword at his waist, the Kikuichimonji Norimune, his gaze as sharp as a drawn blade. “Last night, I sensed a powerful will sweeping over Edo City!”

The members’ faces showed shock. “Could it be that an enemy has appeared?”

“Edo City today is as tight as an iron barrel under the Demon-Sealing Court’s rule! With the eerie phenomenon of the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons, any enemy appearing here will only meet their death!”

Narumi Soji glanced back at them and barked loudly, “Don’t underestimate others, you idiots!”

“Y-yes, Captain!”

“This world has become unimaginable. Neon is not a nation strong enough to ignore everything. The current strength of the Demon-Sealing Court was earned at a heavy cost.”

Narumi Soji covered his forehead with his right hand. “Great Sun Goddess above, bless this land and its people!”

After five in the afternoon, the sky over Edo City quickly darkened, as if by some silent agreement. The black clouds in the sky, like a massive black cloth, were rapidly pulled from the distant horizon, covering the vast sky. The once vibrant Edo City turned into a dead city in an instant.

Not a trace of pedestrians remained on the streets. Even the members of the Demon-Sealing Court, who ruled this place, quickly hid in the shadows, not daring to roam the streets.

Zhang Yi sat in the small restaurant, looking at the boss and waitress who had entered standby mode. He stood up. “Let’s go!”

Everyone rose to their feet, ready to enter the Daliangdu Museum and reclaim what belonged to the Huaxu Nation.

The distance was just enough for a single use of Spatial Shifting.

Zhang Yi opened two Dimensional Gates and stepped through. The others filed in one by one, entering the museum.

Completely different from daytime, the museum’s lights were now off, enveloped in dead silence. The ancient artifacts displayed in the exhibition cases added an eerie, terrifying atmosphere to the place. This wasn’t a problem for the group. The night vision function of their combat suits was activated, allowing them to see clearly in the dark.

“Follow me!”

Zhang Yi walked forward, crossed the long corridor, and headed straight for the Chinese zone. The others followed closely behind.
