Hye and his fleet finally reached the Outer Battlefield after a perilous journey. Upon arrival, their ships were pulled down by an unseen force, landing safely on the strange, flat world. As they disembarked, they discovered their inventories were partially functional, and their surroundings were filled with mysterious, bubbled structures. Moth warned Hye that this place was lawless and dangerous, a sentiment quickly proven true when a large group of armed Toranks appeared, ready for a fight.

Yet, Moth’s warning hinted that these weren’t ordinary cold-era weapons; they possessed a deadliness far exceeding the advanced armaments many of their forces wielded.

"I'll step forward and test their strength first," Hye’s anticipation surged, eager to gauge the disparity between himself and the approaching Toranks. Without awaiting Moth's response, Hye moved with haste towards the front lines. The initial sensation was peculiar as he attempted to run forward, as if a significant portion of his former power had been stripped away.

His speed had diminished only slightly from its previous levels, yet he perceived his strength as dramatically weaker than ever before. Hye accessed his inventory, retrieving a sword he had acquired from past conflicts, resolving to experiment with the fighting styles of this new world and observe their efficacy.

He casually swung his blade, seeking to acclimate himself to its familiar weight. What transpired next, however, was utterly astonishing. The very air began to resonate, conveying a sensation that the sword acted as a catalyst, igniting the surrounding atmosphere. The feeling and the subsequent impact were unprecedented for Hye, leaving him shocked even before the violent explosion erupted.

BOOM!

The sword in Hye's grasp ignited, blazing with intensified light before a sphere of dark fire surged forth, enveloping the entire blade. Then, with the force of a cannon blast, the black fire orb was propelled, expanding to a terrifying magnitude before detonating.

While the sensation was extraordinary for Hye, it was utterly staggering for everyone else. Little did Hye realize, he had performed an act previously unheard of, something utterly unforeseen from an individual who had only just arrived.

"You... You..." Observing the stunned silence and halted movements of everyone around him compelled Hye to recognize that something was amiss. He turned, seeking clarification for the strange turn of events.

"How did you do that?!!!"

Moth was the first to approach Hye; he had maintained a close proximity to the human. As Hye had intended to confront the Toranks directly, Moth had followed, accompanied by his elite guards, prepared to offer aid and support.

He could never have anticipated the human would unleash something so world-altering.

"Did what?" Hye remained unaware of the magnitude of his actions. "And why did the Toranks retreat?"

The very instant he unleashed his assault, felling several Toranks, the remainder began to withdraw and fall back. Hye was perplexed by the turn of events but could sense the fearsome power of his attack. He misinterpreted their withdrawal as a tactical regrouping, an effort to reform their lines for a subsequent offensive.

After all, the Toranks possessed overwhelming numbers, sufficient to match the combined forces present. Witnessing their retreat before him, before a single human, before a solitary enemy, defied all logic.

"You... You just tapped into the spirit powers of this world, unleashing an attack that utilized the darkness element. No one present, no one on the entirety of the Outer Battlefield, possesses the strength to confront you directly."

"Are you joking?" Hye dismissed Moth's words lightly. "It's not as if no one else cultivates, right?"

"We all do," Moth paused, sensing Hye's failure to grasp the true extent of the shock he had induced. "But we have never managed to establish genuine contact with the true power that prevails on the Outer Battlefield. Just now... Your attack... It resembled an attack from someone from the other universe, an individual born and nurtured in spirit power from their earliest days..."

Hye did not entirely comprehend his companion's meaning, yet he discerned fragments of it. For reasons unknown, his recent attack bore a far closer resemblance to the assaults originating from the other universe than to those launched by individuals from his own.

And this revelation terrified everyone, compelling them to retreat and abandon any notion of engagement.

Hye perceived that this outcome was not a testament to his absolute might, but rather a consequence of the deep-seated trauma inflicted by their enemies from the other universe.

They mistook him for a monstrous entity from another realm, a formidable being, an adversary against whom they stood no chance.

"I must learn more about the nature of this battlefield," Hye declared to Moth. "I understand the concept of spirit power; you've already elucidated that term for me. But why can others not access it, while I can? And does this signify that those originating from the other universe are inherently stronger than our own side?"

Moth offered no immediate reply. Instead, his gaze swept around, betraying a subtle concern that their conversation might be overheard.

"Let us proceed towards our base here first, and then we shall continue our discussion," Moth began to move, exhibiting none of the apprehension he had displayed moments before when facing the Toranks.

The situation dissolved as swiftly as it had erupted, affording no time for contemplation, particularly for Hye's companions, as everyone moved into the vast expanse of the Outer Battlefield. Numerous gazes, however, continued to steal furtive glances towards them, focusing especially on Hye.

Whispers of a person wielding spirit power without restraint ignited the rumor mill. Initially, skepticism reigned supreme, but that all changed when accounts of a brief, fierce confrontation circulated widely across the vast expanse of the Outer Battlefield.

It was only after various races and established supreme powers had settled into this tumultuous region that Hye and Moth arrived alongside the throngs of others. They found themselves before a monumental territory, enclosed by colossal walls and immense watchtowers serving defensive purposes. The sheer scale of the fortifications made it seem as though an entire planet had been encircled; the walls stretched onward endlessly, while within their perimeter, countless structures rose like a grand, sprawling metropolis.

This formidable location served as the Hescos’ stronghold within the Outer Battlefield. Moth then extended a welcome to Hye and the rest, ushering them into the heart of this magnificent base.

The immediate observation for Hye and the others was the sheer magnitude of troops positioned along the towering walls. It scarcely felt like a base situated within a secure sanctuary for the Hescos; rather, it had the distinct aura of a frontline fortress preparing for imminent conflict.
