Razeal confronts his inner turmoil and the harsh realities of his path toward conquest. Villey criticizes Razeal's emotional reaction to the deaths of civilians, highlighting the inevitability of suffering in war. Razeal explains his strategy of driving people away to sow doubt in their faith, revealing his plan was undone by extreme cruelty, not by the deaths themselves. He reaffirms his commitment to his own moral code, refusing to become like the gods he despises, even if it makes his journey harder. Villey acknowledges Razeal's personal line, and Razeal hints at a past conversation with Zara concerning his ultimate satisfaction and the nature of his revenge.

[You mean it?]

The question echoed quietly inside Razeal’s mind. It was only three words, yet they made him pause. Never before had he heard Villey ask something in that tone. It was still the same voice, but there was something different beneath it, something quieter, almost hesitant. For a being that always acted as though nothing in existence mattered, asking for confirmation itself felt strange.

Razeal stood there in the ruined throne room, surrounded by broken marble, cracks spreading across the floor, and the throne buried deep inside the stone wall. Dust still floated lazily through the air from his earlier outburst, yet his expression softened just a little. A faint smile, tired but genuine, appeared on his face.

"Obviously," he replied without the slightest hesitation, as though the answer should have been clear from the beginning.

"Of course I mean it."

Silence followed after that.

For several long seconds, Villey did not speak. Instead, a long mechanical hum echoed inside his mind.

[Hmmmmmm...] It almost sounded like the system was thinking, processing something much more carefully than usual. Razeal quietly waited, his hands resting by his sides, while the heaviness inside his chest slowly eased.

Finally, Villey’s voice returned.

[Good.] The robotic tone was back, but somehow it sounded... lighter.

[Because I definitely do not care about people betraying me. And definitely not you.] Razeal blinked once, slightly surprised.

[You already know what I am. You understand my nature. You know why I do the things I do. Even if one day I throw you into hell, torture you, or leave you in the worst possible situation because I believe it is necessary, you already know it would never be because I hated you. It is simply who I am. That is something I can never change.] Villey paused before continuing.

[So I honestly do not think that was a reason big enough to ruin what we had. We can simply go back to how we used to be... And as how we are supposed to be. Why make everything so awkward?]

[And.. Honestly, I am already fine with almost anything you choose to do, no matter how cruel, evil, ruthless, or insane it is. I really do not care. The only thing I refuse to accept is you becoming some hero or saint... which I already know you never will anyway. So... how about we just go back to how things were?] The words almost sounded like an offer rather than a command.

Razeal remained silent for several moments, thinking about everything that had happened between them. The arguments... the silence... the distance... all because of one misunderstanding that neither of them had properly spoken about until today.

Slowly, he let out a tired sigh before shaking his head helplessly.

"Yeah..." he murmured, a small smile returning to his face. "Fine by me."

The moment those words left his mouth, Villey became completely silent for exactly two seconds before suddenly exploding inside his mind with enough force to make Razeal physically flinch.

[GOOOODDD!! And now that we’re finally back to normal... I think I can finally say what I’ve been holding back.] There was another tiny pause before the next words shook his consciousness.

[DON’T FUCKING BE SUICIDAL!! YOU WANNA DIE?! FINE BY ME!! BUT IT’S FUCKING MY LIFE TOO, YOU IDIOT!! WE’RE CONNECTED!! SO DON’T FUCK WITH IT!! STOP DOING THINGS THAT ARE GOING TO GET US KILLED!!] The sheer volume of Villey’s voice echoed again and again inside his head until Razeal instinctively rubbed his temple. It was obvious Villey had been holding that frustration back for a long time.

[Do you have any idea how stupid you’ve been lately?! You stood in front of a terrorist and told him to explode a Supreme-ranked monster core right in front of you! Yeah just so you know.. You onlyyy had 67 percent chance of surviving that..]

[You threaten gods when you aren’t even a an emperor yett!?? Is your head in right place?? And then you walk into fights against people stronger than you.. Like Empress?? Seriously ?? Not to say while acting like your own life has no value! You keep making decisions as if dying only affects you! IT DOESN’T!! I LIVE HERE TOO!! IF YOU DIE... I DIE TOO!! SO STOP ACTING LIKE YOUR LIFE BELONGS ONLY TO YOU!!]

Razeal simply stood there listening, and for the first time since seeing those horrifying wagons, he almost laughed. He managed to stop himself, but the smile on his face grew just a little wider.

"Yeah... yeah..." he answered lazily, waving one hand as if trying to calm an angry child. That only made Villey even more irritated.

[WHAT DO YOU MEAN ’YEAH YEAH’?! DID YOU UNDERSTAND OR NOT?! NO DYING MEANS NO DYING!! START TAKING YOUR LIFE SERIOUSLY!!]

Razeal finally nodded several times with an amused smile still resting on his lips.

"Yep. I got it." Another nod.

"No dying. Happy?"

[You better be serious.] Villey grumbled one last time before finally going quiet.

Razeal slowly shook his head. Somehow... the terrifying omnipotent being inside his soul no longer sounded like some super strong cosmic existence. Right now, it sounded far more like an incredibly annoyed partner who had finally gotten the chance to scold him after holding everything inside for days.

The thought alone almost made him chuckle again. It was ridiculous... yet strangely comforting. Somehow, despite everything, talking to Villey had eased the pressure crushing his heart. The guilt had not disappeared. The images of those innocent people were still there. The pain still remained. But at least the storm inside him had calmed enough that he could breathe normally again.

Just as that strange silence settled over the throne room once more, another sound reached his ears.

Soft footsteps echoed from the large entrance of the hall. Razeal slowly turned his head toward the doors. Sofia had returned.

After finally flying dozens of kilometers back from Blackhollow Keep without stopping, she had come directly to the royal castle. The moment she stepped inside, her feet unconsciously slowed. Her eyes swept across the entire throne room.

The magnificent golden throne that had once stood proudly at the center of the platform was now embedded halfway into the left wall, surrounded by deep cracks spreading through solid stone. The platform itself had almost collapsed, broken into uneven pieces by repeated stomps. Marble dust covered the floor, shattered stone lay scattered everywhere, and the entire hall looked less like a royal throne room and more like the aftermath of a battle between monsters.

Sofia quietly took everything in. She had imagined Razeal losing control... but not to this extent.

A small sigh escaped her lips. she admitted inwardly. Without saying anything, she slowly walked toward him, her footsteps echoing gently through the empty hall.

As she got closer, her speed suddenly increased, and within a blink she appeared beside him. Neither of them spoke.

Razeal quietly looked at her face while Sofia looked him over from head to toe.

Finally she looked into his eyes.

"...Are you fine?" she asked softly. Even she knew how pointless that question sounded. The destroyed throne room already answered it better than Razeal ever could. Yet she still asked... because sometimes, a person did not need someone to already know the answer. Sometimes... they simply needed someone willing to ask.

Razeal quietly looked at Sofia before giving a small shake of his head.

"I am fine," he said softly, his lips pressing together afterward. His voice was steady now, far calmer than it had been only minutes earlier. As he looked into her eyes, he immediately noticed the worry she was trying so hard to hide.

She kept her face relaxed, pretending everything was normal, but her eyes refused to cooperate. They carried concern, deep and genuine concern. It made something inside Razeal soften for just a brief moment. The sharpness in his crimson eyes faded ever so slightly before he hid it again behind his usual calm expression. He didn’t like showing anything.

Sofia, however, couldn’t hide her surprise. She had expected to find the same broken man who had disappeared from Blackhollow Keep. The image of him standing before the wagons filled with innocent victims still refused to leave her mind. His lowered head... his trembling silence... the quiet whisper when he realized he couldn’t save them... and then his sudden disappearance.

She had honestly feared what state she would find him in. Yet now, although sadness still lingered deep inside his eyes, he looked... composed. Not happy. Not healed. But composed. Somehow, during the short time he had been alone, he had gathered himself together.

Her eyes slowly wandered across the throne room. The magnificent throne had been blasted into the stone wall, cracks spreading around it like a spider’s web. The raised platform beneath it had almost completely collapsed, and broken marble covered the floor in every direction. Even the pillars bore fresh fractures from the force that had shaken the hall.

The destruction clearly showed how much anger Razeal had released here. She couldn’t help but wonder if this was how he dealt with unbearable emotions by breaking everything around him until the storm inside finally quieted. Or... had someone actually spoken to him? She quickly dismissed that thought. Talking Razeal out of his emotions doesn’t sound like right. He listened, but convincing him was another matter entirely.

Still... whatever had happened... it had worked.

She quietly let out a relieved breath.

"That’s... good."

She hesitated before speaking again. "You... shouldn’t blame yourself too much."

The words felt weak the moment they left her mouth. She searched for something better to say but found nothing. How did someone comfort a person like him anyways. Before she could continue, Razeal gently rested a hand on her shoulder.

"I’m fine," he repeated, his voice calm and unexpectedly gentle. "Like I said... don’t worry about me."

His crimson eyes met hers directly. There was no anger in them now. Only quiet determination. He wasn’t trying to convince himself anymore. He was trying to convince her.

Sofia froze.

The words she had prepared disappeared.

"...Why does he suddenly sound so... mature?" she wondered. Only moments ago he had looked completely broken.

Now he was the one comforting her. She awkwardly coughed before giving a small nod.

"I was just... concerned."

She looked away almost immediately, unable to keep staring into his eyes. They were strangely beautiful deep, endless crimson that seemed to pull people in the longer they looked.

For a few quiet moments, neither of them spoke.

But just then heavy atmosphere inside the throne hall slowly settled.

As suddenly..

A soft sound lf someone softly landing on across the marble floor echoed.

Both Razeal and Sofia reacted instantly.

Their heads turned toward the center of the hall.

Neither of them had sensed anyone approaching.

No aura.

No footsteps.

No disturbance.

It was as though the newcomer had simply appeared.

And now..

Standing silently in the middle of the ruined throne room was a young-looking boy, barely four feet tall. At first glance he looked no older than ten, but there was something deeply unnatural about him. Thin lines traced across his body like the joints of an exquisitely crafted puppet. A platinum imperial crest glowed faintly upon his forehead, ancient and flawless. In one hand he casually carried undeniable proof that someone important had just died.

The boy stood perfectly still.

No emotion crossed his face.

No curiosity.

No hostility.

Nothing.

Yet somehow that complete lack of expression made him feel even more unsettling.

His eyes were different.

Cold.

Calm.

Intelligent.

Far too intelligent for someone who appeared so young.

What made it even stranger was that ever since appearing, the small boy hadn’t spared a single glance toward the ruined throne hall around him. The shattered marble floor, the cracked pillars, the throne embedded deep into the wall instead of standing upon its platform as if none of it even existed in his eyes. It was almost unsettling.

It wasn’t that he ignored it on purpose... it simply didn’t seem important enough for him to acknowledge.

Razeal’s crimson eyes slowly narrowed as every instinct inside his body suddenly screamed in warning.

An overwhelming sense of danger quietly settled over him something that he hasn’t felt even when facing Supreme.

the thought flashed through his mind before another possibility immediately followed.

He couldn’t tell since he couldn’t feel any aura or even the slightest pressure coming from the boy, yet that only made him more dangerous.

Someone whose presence couldn’t even be sensed was far more frightening than someone who overwhelmed others with power. Without even realizing it,

Razeal’s right hand slowly moved to the hilt of the sword resting at his waist, his fingers tightening around it as every muscle in his body instinctively prepared for the worst.

But before Razeal could even begin guessing why this strange existence had appeared inside his throne room, let alone why he was calmly carrying someone’s severed head in his hand, the small puppet-like boy suddenly spoke. His voice sounded young, like that of an ordinary child, yet it carried almost no emotion whatsoever.

"Her Imperial Majesty, The Empress, sends you her greetings." As soon as the words left his mouth, he casually threw the severed head forward.

It rolled across the polished marble floor, leaving a thin trail of blood behind before finally coming to a stop at the very foot of the broken throne platform, only a few steps away from Razeal.

The hall fell into total silece once again.

Sofia’s breathing unconsciously paused, while Razeal’s crimson eyes shifted from the strange boy to the head lying on the floor.

The appearance of an unknown existence capable of entering his throne room without anyone sensing him had immediately placed every instinct inside Razeal on edge. His hand had already wrapped around the hilt of his sword the moment the boy appeared, his body fully prepared to draw it at even the smallest sign of danger.

But hearing the words ’Her Imperial Majesty’ made something click inside his mind. His guard did not disappear, but it lessened slightly. At least now there was an explanation. An unknown powerhouse appearing inside his castle made far more sense if it was someone serving the Empress herself. Still... that answered only one question. It did not explain why he was here... nor why he had brought a human head into the throne room.

"Who is he?" Razeal asked calmly, his crimson eyes lowering toward the severed head lying on the marble. He carefully studied the dead man’s face, trying to search his memories for any sign of recognition, but nothing came. The face was completely unfamiliar to him.

After a few silent moments, his gaze slowly rose once more toward the puppet-like boy, who had already placed both hands behind his back and stood there quietly. His face remained completely expressionless, giving away nothing. It was impossible to tell what he was thinking, or whether he was even thinking about anything at all.

"The head of the King of Osicade Kingdom," the boy answered in the same calm, emotionless voice. "It was he who gave the order to slaughter every exile that arrived at his kingdom’s borders." His words were simple, direct, and completely without pride or hatred, as though he were merely stating an ordinary fact.

Hearing that, both Razeal and Sofia instinctively lowered their eyes toward the severed face lying on the floor once again.

Sofia’s expression stiffened as understanding dawned on her. Razeal quietly observed the lifeless face for a brief moment before lifting his gaze back toward the boy. The room remained silent. He neither thanked the Empress nor reacted emotionally. His expression barely changed, though somewhere deep inside he acknowledged one thing the Empress had moved far faster than he had.

Only a short while ago he had been standing before hundreds of wagons, wondering how he would uncover those responsible. Now the man who had ordered the massacre was already dead, and his head had been delivered straight to him.

That alone revealed how frightening the Empress power and level of intelligence about everything truly was. There had been no investigation. No declaration of war. No negotiation. Someone had simply gone, executed a king, and returned before Razeal hadn’t even uncovered who did this.

Razeal slowly narrowed his eyes.

"What does she want?" he asked calmly. His voice carried neither gratitude nor hostility. He already understood this was no act of simple kindness. Nothing at this level ever came without purpose.

The Empress had not sent an Emperor-level existence merely to deliver proof of revenge or favour? There must be some reason behind it.

The boy did not waste time pretending otherwise. He gave no explanation about the execution, no speech about justice, no attempt to earn goodwill. It was almost as though the severed head itself had merely been the easiest way to ensure Razeal would actually listen before refusing whatever came next.

"Her Imperial Empress sent me to bring you a message." As those words left his mouth, the strange little boy suddenly lowered himself onto one knee before Razeal. The movement was smooth and respectful, yet neither Razeal nor Sofia misunderstood it. He was not kneeling because he respected Razeal. There wasn’t the slightest trace of admiration or reverence on that emotionless face.

Instead, it felt as though he was only respecting the duty he had been entrusted with. He was kneeling for the command of his Empress, not for the man standing before him. Even while kneeling, his expression remained perfectly calm, his platinum eyes looking up without the slightest ripple of emotion, making the whole sight even more unsettling.

"What is it?" Razeal asked directly. His patience for ceremonies had already disappeared long ago, especially today. He just wanted to know the purpose immediately.

The puppet lowered his head just enough to complete the formal delivery.

"By the Sovereign Will of Her Imperial Majesty," he began in the same calm, emotionless voice, "You have been appointed as the newest member of the World Council." His words echoed through the empty throne hall before he continued without pausing.

"Furthermore, by Her Imperial Majesty’s command, a session of the World Council shall convene two hours from now. You are hereby Commanded to present yourself before the Council and assume your seat as its newest member." After finishing every word exactly as instructed, the boy slowly raised his head once more, his expression remaining unchanged as he looked directly at Razeal, waiting without impatience for an answer.

Silence.
