I Have 10,000 SSS Rank Villains In My System Space Chapter 499: A problem?

"Do it," Razeal said again, his calm voice spreading through the wide throne hall. It did not come out like an angry command. It did not carry fear, warning, or urgency. It simply echoed across the golden walls, passed between the tall pillars, and settled over everyone present like a cold hand pressing down on their shoulders.
The whole hall fell into a silence so heavy that even the breathing of the soldiers along the walls became careful and restrained. Lady Nyssa Veyra Sol stood frozen with the report book still in her hand, her eyes fixed on the Supreme-rank monster core resting in the yellow-haired man’s grip.
Viper remained still as a shadow, one hand close to his dagger but not touching it, because Razeal had given his word that no one would interfere.
Zero and Blitz stood behind the man, silent and ready, yet even they did not move.
Everyone knew what that core was capable of now. Everyone knew that if the man truly destabilized it, the throne room, the castle, and perhaps a terrifying part of the capital would disappear in an instant. And yet the king sitting upon the throne had not only returned the weapon to the enemy, but was now asking him to use it. The madness of that decision pressed against every mind in the hall, but no one dared break the order.
"You think I won’t be able to do it?" the yellow-haired man shouted back, his voice rough and furious. He mistook Razeal’s calm expression for doubt, and that wounded his pride more than any insult could have. He had come here ready to die. He had cut away pain, touch, fear of torture, and every weakness that could make a captured man break. He had carried a Supreme-rank monster core into the capital itself, planning to turn the heart of the kingdom into dust, and now he was looking at him as though he were nothing more than a child holding a stone.
That relaxed, almost bored gaze made something wild flare inside him again. His bloody lips twisted, his red eyes widened, and a lunatic expression returned to his bruised face as he clutched the huge core with both hands.
"I will!" he screamed.
"I will do it!" His fingers tightened around the dark surface until the veins on the back of his hands rose. For a moment, faint lines across the core began to flicker, as though the unstable power inside had sensed his will and was waiting for him to pour energy into it. Several soldiers stiffened.
Nyssa’s heart slammed against her chest. Even the air itself seemed to grow sharper.
"Stop yelling," Razeal said, leaning slightly toward one arm of the throne as though he was becoming impatient with a servant taking too long to complete a simple task.
"And do what you came here to do. And stop wasting time." His tone was so uninterested, so careless, that the yellow-haired man suddenly froze.
The crazed look on his face cracked for the first time. His fingers were still wrapped around the core, but the power he had been about to push into it stopped before it could fully move. He stared at Razeal, unable to understand what he had just heard. There was no fear in that voice. No warning hidden beneath it. No trick visible on his face.
Razeal was not trying to persuade him, threaten him, or delay him until someone could disarm him. He was simply telling him to hurry up. That one thing was more disturbing than any threat could have been. The man’s madness slowly retreated back into the corners of his mind, replaced by a cold and horrifying confusion.
Why would someone let him do this? Why would he allow a weapon capable of destroying his own capital to be activated inside his throne room? It went against everything. Against survival. Against ruling. Against pride. Against reason itself.
The yellow-haired man’s breathing became heavier as thoughts began crashing into one another inside his head. It was impossible.
There was no way anyone could stop the core once it was destabilized. Even if Razeal somehow survived the explosion, the kingdom would not. The royal castle would become ash. The capital would be torn apart. The people he had just claimed as his own would die by the thousands, maybe more. Buildings, roads, soldiers, servants, civilians, noble districts, poor districts everything within range would be consumed by the released power of a Supreme-rank monster core.
Razeal had to know that. He was not ignorant. He had recognized the object before Nyssa even explained it. He had understood the danger, and still he had ordered Viper to return it. The man could not stop himself from asking the same question again and again in his mind. Why? Why give it back when I was already captured? Why release my arms? Why promise no one will interfere? Why not just kill me and end it? Doubt began to grow inside him, and that doubt was far more dangerous than fear, because it made him think.
Does he want me to destroy this kingdom? That thought came first because it was the most obvious answer. Maybe Razeal did not care about Denvaar at all.
Maybe he wanted the capital erased so he could blame the Rock family and rebuild everything from ashes. Maybe the blood-covered king who had forbidden gods and killed the archbishop was mad enough to sacrifice his own people just to prove a point.
But when the yellow-haired man looked up at the throne, that answer did not feel right.
Razeal sat there calmly, his chin resting against his fist, crimson eyes fixed upon him without the slightest sign of madness or impatience. He looked unbothered, but not careless.
He looked like someone who had already seen the result and was waiting for the other person to catch up. The man’s grip tightened and loosened around the core.
Another thought appeared. He genuinely wants me to do it. No... He stared harder at Razeal’s face.
He dares me to do it? His anger flared again at that thought. Did this man believe he was too afraid to die? Did he think the man who had come here with his own death already prepared would suddenly lose courage because the moment had arrived?
That shallow possibility made him want to activate the core immediately just to prove otherwise. But something inside him warned that it was not so simple. Razeal’s expression did not look like someone testing another man’s courage. It looked worse. It looked like someone setting a trap with no hidden blade, no secret rope, no movement at all only understanding.
The yellow-haired man forced his mind to work deeper but again he couldn’t think of anything..
But that’s when suddenly.. for a fraction of a second, the yellow-haired man saw it.
A strange glint passed through Razeal’s crimson eyes while he looked at him. It was not fear. It was not mockery. It was not even confidence. It was something crazier. A dangerous, almost excited gleam, as though Razeal was waiting him to do it.
As though if the core exploded, Razeal would not be the one losing. As though the moment the man chose to destroy the capital, something far worse than death would begin for him.
A shiver ran through the yellow-haired man’s entire body. It started at the back of his neck and moved down his spine so violently that his fingers twitched against the core.
Suddenly, he understood it and as it did..
The Supreme-rank monster core slipped from his grip.
It struck the marble floor with a deep, heavy sound and rolled a short distance across the throne room, the dark lines across its surface glowing faintly before becoming still again. The sound of it rolling felt louder than any shout.
The yellow-haired man stumbled backward at once, raising both hands in front of himself as though trying to prove he had let it go. His face had lost all of its madness. The crazy smile was gone. The pride was gone. Only fear remained now, raw and visible.
"No..." he said, shaking his head quickly.
"No, I wasn’t..." His voice trembled so badly that the words almost broke apart. "I am not doing it..." He took another step back, his hands still raised, his eyes moving from the core to Razeal and back again. "I am not doing it."
Lady Nyssa stared at him in complete confusion. Until that moment, her entire body had been tight with desperate nervousness, her mind filled with the horror that Razeal had truly gone insane by handing a kingdom-destroying weapon back to a terrorist and telling him to use it. She had been seconds away from shouting again, perhaps even ordering the guards to move despite knowing they could not do anything even she cant.. Razeal was too strong afterall..
Just as Lady Veyra was confused, so were the assassins and every guard standing inside the throne room.
The whole hall had gone strangely still, but beneath that silence, every mind was spinning. Did something happen that they did not notice? Did Razeal attack him in some hidden way? Did some invisible spell touch his mind? Did the Supreme-rank monster core react strangely? Some illusion maybe?
But no one had sensed anything. No aura had moved. No killing intent had flashed. No magic or mana they saw. No pressure had descended upon the yellow-haired man. Everyone present was not ordinary either.
The guards standing around the hall were trained royal soldiers, and the assassins beside Viper were elites among elites.
Viper, Zero, Blitz, and Lady Veyra herself were all at the Great Saint rank, people whose senses were far beyond normal humans. Even the smallest movement of mana, aura, intent, or atleast any kind lf fluctuation should have been noticed by at least one of them. Yet there had been nothing.
The man had been laughing like a madman only moments ago, telling them to kill him, mocking them, looking as if he had already thrown away his life before ever entering the capital. His expression, his words, his preparation, even the way he had severed his own mortal senses, all of it proved that he had come here expecting to die.
So why was he suddenly frightened now? What could scare a man who had already accepted death? What could make someone who wanted to explode a Supreme-rank monster core in the middle of the capital suddenly step back like a terrified child? The question passed through all their eyes, but no answer came.
And.. Before their thoughts could move any further, the yellow-haired man took one more step back in fear. His breathing was broken and rough, and his eyes were wide with something beyond ordinary panic.
For one short moment, it looked as if he might perhaps beg, or perhaps try to run from the throne room despite knowing there was nowhere to go.
But then his expression twisted, not with courage, not with rage, but with a terrible decision made in the last second. He suddenly raised his own hand, turned it into a sharp palm, and before anyone could stop him, drove it directly into his own neck.
The strike pierced through from the front to the back in one clean, brutal movement. Blood burst out and spilled down his chest, dripping heavily onto the polished floor. His eyes widened even more, the fear still frozen inside them, and then the strength left his body completely.
His body collapsing with a heavy thud, his own arm still stuck through his neck, his face turned partly toward the throne as blood spread beneath him.
Everything happened in less than a second.
Another wave of confusion passed through the hall, heavier than before. No one had even moved. No one had touched him. No one had attacked him. He had simply killed himself?
Viper slowly turned his head back and looked down at the lifeless body lying on the floor.
The man’s final expression remained twisted in horror, his eyes still open, still filled with the same fear and worry that had overtaken him just before his death.
That was what made the scene so disturbing. He did not look like a fanatic who had died proudly for revenge. He did not look like a man who had chosen death calmly. He looked like someone who had seen a future so terrifying that killing himself became the only escape left.
Zero and Blitz also looked down at the corpse, then raised their eyes toward each other. Neither spoke aloud, but the question was clear in both their gazes. What happened? Yet neither of them had an answer. They had been standing close enough to restrain him moments ago. They had watched every breath, every twitch, every movement. But nope they have no answer why it lead to this.
Lady Veyra had gone completely stiff. Her eyes were fixed on the body, and for a few seconds, even her breathing seemed to stop.
"He..." she whispered, her voice low and filled with disbelief. "He killed himself?" The words sounded strange coming from her own mouth.
She had first thought the man was scared of dying after finally having the core returned to him. Perhaps his earlier madness had been only false courage. Perhaps, now that the chance to truly use it was placed in his hands, he had realized that he did not want to die.
That explanation had almost made sense for a brief moment. But now it was destroyed. If he feared death, he would not have driven his own hand through his throat. So death had not been the reason. He was not frightened of dying. Then what was he frightened of? What had he understood in that final moment that none of them had seen? Veyra’s thoughts moved quickly, trying to find the missing piece, but nothing fit.
Slowly, Veyra turned her head back toward the throne. Her eyes lifted toward Razeal, who remained seated above them, looking down at the dead man with a calm expression.
"What did you do?" she asked. Her voice was low, but the question carried clearly through the silent hall. There was no accusation in it, not exactly. It was more like fear mixed with confusion. She needed to know. She needed some kind of answer that made sense.
"I did not do anything," Razeal replied, his voice calm. He shook his head slightly and looked at the blood spreading across the floor beneath the corpse. "He was just a smart man." That was all he said.
"A smart man?" Veyra fell silent. His words only made the mystery deeper, yet they also carried a strange meaning she could not ignore. She turned back toward the body on the ground, staring at the dead man with narrowed eyes.
He was smart? Smart enough to understand what? Smart enough to see through Razeal’s intention? Smart enough to know that activating the core would be a mistake worse than death? Her mind slowly circled around the thought, but the full answer still refused to settle clearly. The soldiers, not understanding any of this, remained frozen until Razeal gave another order.
"Anyway," Razeal said, as if the matter no longer interested him much.
"Clean the floor. And deliver his head back to his family in the empire." His tone was casual, almost bored, but the order was cold enough to make several guards tense.
Still, they immediately moved forward. Some went to secure the corpse, others brought cloth and containers to clean the blood, while two carefully approached the body as if afraid it might still hold some hidden danger.
They did not understand why the man had killed himself. They did not understand why Razeal had returned the core. They did not understand why the king seemed completely unsurprised. But they understood an order when they heard one. The body was lifted from the floor, blood still dripping from the wound in his neck, while the guards carried it away under the silent eyes of everyone present.
Blitz remained standing near Viper, still watching the corpse being taken out. After a few moments, his voice suddenly entered Viper’s mind through a hidden transmission technique.
"Leader, why did he kill himself?" The question carried the confusion he did not show outwardly.
Zero looked toward Viper at the same time, clearly waiting for the same answer. Both of them had witnessed everything from only a few steps away, but even they had failed to understand.
Viper did not answer immediately. His eyes remained on Razeal, who sat calmly upon the throne as if nothing extraordinary had happened. Then Viper replied through the same hidden technique, sending his answer into both Zero and Blitz’s minds.
"If he had done it," Viper said simply, "That would have given Master the reason."
"A reason?" Blitz’s voice entered Viper’s mind again through the hidden transmission technique, but this time it carried clear confusion. Even after hearing Viper’s first explanation, he still did not fully understand why the man had chosen to kill himself so suddenly.
"I do not understand." Outwardly, Blitz remained still, standing like a shadow near the throne room floor, his posture unchanged and his expression hidden beneath the black cloth covering his face. But inside, his thoughts were moving quickly.
To him, the yellow-haired man had already come prepared to die. He had carried a Supreme-rank monster core into the capital. He had severed his body from pain. He had laughed at death, mocked them all, and acted as if nothing mattered anymore except revenge.
Then, the moment Razeal actually gave him a chance to do it, he broke. He stepped back, gave up, and killed himself. To Blitz, that still felt strange. If revenge was his goal, why stop when it was finally possible? If death did not matter to him, then what had frightened him so much?
Viper’s gaze stayed forward, but his answer entered both Blitz and Zero’s minds silently.
"Even when people use terror, even when one kingdom or empire sends someone to strike another, they usually know the limits of the damage they want to cause," he explained, his voice inside their heads as calm and emotionless as ever.
"They may kill important people. They may destroy supplies. They may frighten the public. They may create unrest. But most of them still avoid crossing certain lines, because the people behind them do not want all-out war."
Viper’s eyes moved briefly toward the doors where the dead man’s body had been carried out, leaving faint blood marks behind on the floor.
"There are reasons behind terrorism. Motives. Revenge, pressure, fear, negotiation, distraction, weakening the enemy or even the revenge and all. The terrorist dying and the people who planned it being hunted down can be called justice, revenge, or protection. But when the act is too large, when the damage has no limit, when it kills not only the target but an entire capital... the consequences change completely."
Blitz and Zero remained silent as Viper continued.
"Perhaps the man understood that too late. If he had activated that core inside the capital, the damage would have been beyond whatever crazy revenge he had thought to be needed. It would have been mass destruction. It would have killed civilians, nobles, soldiers, servants, children, merchants, and anyone nearby. A whole part of the kingdom would have been erased. After that, Razeal would not need to look for excuses. He would not need to prove anything more. The man’s own action would become the proof." Viper’s tone grew colder through the silent connection.
"His whole family could be declared responsible. Their lands could be seized. Their bloodline could be hunted. And if any link to the empire was found, even if small, it could become a legitimate reason for war. A valid reason to destroy lands and kill people and be called hero instead of a Villain or mad king. A reason the world would understan
