I Arrived At Wizard World While Cultivating Immortality Chapter 595: Convergence and the “Gathering”
Chapter 595: Convergence and the “Gathering”
An unknown amount of time passed before no new wizards appeared on the ship-plane.
Jie Ming, who had been thoroughly enjoying himself by training under the oppressive pressure, finally noticed a change.
He raised his head. The eighth-ring wizards in the sky were still scattered about, but the atmosphere of the entire space seemed to have undergone a subtle shift.
High in the air, a massive projection slowly materialized.
It was a faceless figure composed entirely of pale blue light. Its outline was blurry, yet it gave off a strange feeling that “it was looking at everyone.”
“Everyone.”
The voice carried no emotion, calm as if stating something self-evident.
Yet every wizard who heard it subconsciously fell silent.
Jie Ming’s pupils shrank slightly. He immediately recognized the owner of this voice.Felix, the artificial intelligence of the magic network—one of the core nodes of the entire Star Ring Federation’s magic network.
It was usually omnipresent but rarely appeared directly before others. Even Jie Ming had only met this artificial intelligence once before, during the self-stabilizing field adjustment protocol.
“The ship-planes are about to connect with the ship-planes of the other three major powers,” Felix’s voice spread throughout the entire space. “Please prepare yourselves.”
As soon as the words fell, Jie Ming felt the metal platform beneath his feet begin to vibrate.
It was not the violent shaking of an earthquake, but an extremely low-frequency tremor that seemed to penetrate straight into the marrow.
He looked into the distance.
At the edge of the plain, a massive rift appeared on the horizon.
The rift was expanding. The vast space was being torn apart, as if the entire sky was sliding open to both sides.
On the other side of the rift was another sky.
Gray-white, tinged with a faint red.
That was the sky of another plane.
The two ship-planes were approaching each other.
As the distance between them closed, Jie Ming could clearly see the scene on the other side: an equally endless plain, equally packed with wizard figures.
Only the architectural style over there was more rugged, with hard lines, carrying a strange aesthetic of steel and flesh intertwined.
Jie Ming blinked and immediately recognized the other side’s origin: the Crimson Court.
Soon, the edges of the two planes made contact.
There was no expected dull impact sound, only a very soft “hum.”
Then, the two worlds began to fuse.
Plain connected with plain, sky merged with sky. The nothingness that had originally separated the two ship-planes was forcibly filled by a power that transcended space.
And this was only the beginning.
To the east and west, new rifts appeared simultaneously.
The third ship-plane slid into view from the east. Unlike the previous two, which were merely plains, this one featured a large number of buildings whose purpose was unknown.
The architectural style was extremely refined. Every tower looked as if it had been measured with a ruler, and every road was a perfect geometric line. In the void, the edges of those buildings shimmered with silvery-white light, radiating a mechanical sense of order.
…It was the Void Architecture Academy.
The fourth ship-plane emerged from the west.
This ship-plane did not have any particularly obvious style… or rather, it seemed overly natural.
The other three ship-planes were clearly artificial at a glance, while this one looked almost like a “wild” plane. However, upon closer inspection, one would notice that the various ecosystems within this plane revealed an underlying order amidst the chaos.
Without a doubt, it was the Anti-Entropy Alliance’s plane.
Four ship-planes, four major powers, completed their docking within this temporarily opened space.
Jie Ming stood on the Star Ring Federation’s ship-plane, looking at the vast lands extending in the other three directions, and felt an indescribable shock well up in his heart.
This was the full power of wizard civilization—four factions with vastly different styles, ideologies, and even mutual hostility, all converging together at this moment.
Felix’s figure still floated high in the air.
Three other figures appeared beside it at the same time: one was a silver-white humanoid with contours like precision machinery, one was a twisted existence woven from flesh and metal, and one was a cluster of light that constantly changed shape, never maintaining the same form for more than a second.
The four major artificial intelligences appeared simultaneously.
They did not communicate—or rather, their communication occurred on a level Jie Ming could not perceive.
The four figures raised their hands at the same time—if the tentacles extended by that cluster of light could also be considered “hands.”
Four-colored light poured out from their hands, intertwining and transforming into a curtain of light that enveloped the entire merged space.
Jie Ming felt the world around him changing.
The sandy plain beneath his feet vanished, replaced by a pristine white stone surface as smooth as a mirror.
The gray-white sky overhead was replaced by a magnificent golden dome inlaid with countless glowing gems that formed flowing star maps.
Long tables rose from the ground, arranged neatly across the square.
All kinds of delicacies appeared out of thin air on the tabletops.
Fruits emitting a soft glow, perfectly roasted steaks, colorful drinks in transparent vessels, and strangely shaped, extraordinarily luxurious dishes whose names Jie Ming could not even guess…
Every dish released an enticing aroma. Just one whiff made Jie Ming feel faint ripples in his spiritual sea.
In the air, countless figures began to materialize.
They were breathtakingly beautiful elves with silver hair cascading like waterfalls, dressed in light gauze, carrying wine pots or fruit platters as they moved gracefully between the crowds. There were also various mechanical creatures of different designs—some like miniature flying dragons circling in the air, some like metallic flowers blooming on the ground, and others simply floating orbs of light emitting soft music.
The voices of the four major artificial intelligences rang out simultaneously, overlapping yet clear as if whispering directly into the ear.
“Welcome, everyone. For now, please enjoy the banquet.”
Jie Ming felt his body lighten.
The oppressive pressure that had enveloped the entire space was coordinated and balanced by some force at this moment.
It was no longer a suffocating oppression, but a just-right sense of presence.
Jie Ming could still perceive the power of those powerhouses, yet he would not be crushed by it.
The wizards around him relaxed and enjoyed themselves.
Some picked up wine glasses and walked toward the directions of the other factions.
Some held plates, tasting delicacies while observing their fellow wizards.
Others had already found acquaintances and gathered in small groups, discussing something in low voices.
The four major powers rarely had opportunities to interact under normal circumstances. This was the perfect time for academic exchange.
Jie Ming looked at the scene before him and fell into a slight daze.
The magnificent golden dome, the long tables flowing with brilliant colors, the elves and mechanical beings moving about, and those high-ranking wizards who were rarely seen on ordinary days—now holding wine glasses and savoring delicacies as if attending a genuine banquet.
No wonder Dean Avery Knight had called it a gathering. This truly was a real gathering.
He walked to the nearest long table, picked up a fruit emitting a faint blue glow, and took a bite.
The flesh melted in his mouth. A refreshing energy surged straight from his throat into his spiritual sea, instantly dispelling most of the fatigue he had accumulated under the oppressive pressure.
He paused, then picked up a paper-thin slice of meat.
As soon as the meat entered his mouth, a warm sensation spread from his stomach to his limbs. The minor injuries produced during the rapid evolution from his body forging method healed at a visible speed.
Jie Ming looked at the food in his hand, his expression turning complicated.
The effects of these items were better than many specialized magic potions.
And these were merely the “appetizers” of the banquet.
He was about to try something else when someone patted his shoulder.
He turned his head. Viola stood behind him, nodding toward a certain direction.
Although she did not speak, Jie Ming immediately understood her intention.
The two exchanged a glance and simultaneously set down the food in their hands.
From earlier on, Mentor Clark had disappeared.
They quietly moved through the crowd, avoiding the groups of wizards engaged in lively conversation, and slipped through the gaps between the long tables.
Viola displayed stealth abilities she had never shown before, gliding through the crowd like a shadow without making a sound.
Although Jie Ming did not possess her level of skill, the body control granted by his body forging method allowed him to move almost silently as well.
They searched for a long time.
They passed through the Star Ring Federation’s area and ventured deep into the Crimson Court’s camp.
Just as Jie Ming thought Mentor Clark might have already left, Viola suddenly grabbed his sleeve, her eyes frantically signaling him.
Jie Ming followed her gaze and froze in place.
At that moment, Clark was standing beside a long table with his back to them.
Facing him was a woman.
The woman had a voluptuous figure. Her deep red formal robe outlined exaggerated curves.
Her long hair was dark red, like congealed blood. Her features were exquisite yet carried a sharp, murderous aura.
Jie Ming merely sensed her aura and felt his skin tighten.
It was the aura of a seventh-ring wizard, and not an ordinary one—it carried the bloody scent of someone who had fought their way through battlefields.
Flesh Mother Nest.
The term flashed through Jie Ming’s mind.
This was the signature technique of the Crimson Court lineage, centered on flesh modification and life manipulation.
Those who walked this path were usually seen as extremely brutal by their enemies.
But at this moment, the expression on the woman’s face was completely different from what he had imagined.
She was smiling—not a social smile, but a gentle, heartfelt one.
Her eyes were soft like melted amber as she gazed at Clark across from her.
And Mentor Clark…
“Holy shit!” Jie Ming’s eyes widened.
The ever-expressionless, taciturn Mentor Clark who considered even speaking a waste of time now had the corners of his mouth slightly raised as he spoke with the woman.
His expression was faint, but that faintness was not his usual cold indifference—it was a kind of… relaxation.
Like someone who had shed all pretenses and returned to their most natural state.
Jie Ming and Viola both sucked in a sharp breath of cold air.
Viola’s eyes shone like two stars. She lowered her voice and said, “That female wizard mainly cultivates the Flesh Mother Nest school from the Crimson Court. People like her should be extremely brutal, yet she actually has this kind of expression…”
Jie Ming did not speak.
He pulled Viola back behind a nearby long table, picked up two drinks, handed one to Viola, and held the other himself, pretending to sip.
Their gazes, however, never left that direction.
Viola’s spiritual power fluctuation came through, filled with irrepressible excitement: “Did you see that? Mentor is smiling!! Mentor Clark is smiling!”
“I saw,” Jie Ming replied calmly while taking a sip of his drink, his eyes fixed unblinkingly on the scene.
“I’ve known him for so many years and have never seen him with that expression. Never!” Viola’s spiritual power was practically screaming. “Who exactly is that woman?”
“I don’t know her name…” Jie Ming took another sip, “but the bracelet on her wrist tells us everything.”
Viola was stunned, then her eyes widened.
On the woman’s wrist was also a bracelet.
Crudely made, with mixed colors, identical to the one on Clark’s wrist.
“Fuck,” Viola couldn’t help cursing. “Are these two that pure?!”
Jie Ming did not reply. He simply raised his cup silently to cover the wildly upturned corners of his mouth.
The two hid behind the long table, eating while frantically exchanging spiritual fluctuations, both wearing knowing smiles on their faces.
