Previously on I Am the Fated Villain...
Jiang Weiyang and Zhu Fuyi are confronted by the mysterious Imperial Preceptor Xing Ming, who reveals he was ordered to take her away. Zhu Fuyi attempts to defend Jiang Weiyang but is easily defeated. As Xing Ming prepares to capture Jiang Weiyang, a young woman emerges from a carriage, seemingly unfazed by Xing Ming's power and warning him about the Heavenslayers Alliance. Enraged, Xing Ming decides to kill the young woman, but an illusory figure summoned by her forces him to flee in terror, leaving Jiang Weiyang and Zhu Fuyi safe.
