Bella has given birth to twins, a boy and a girl. While her son is peaceful, her daughter immediately starts crying when her father, Leo, puts her down. The baby stops crying the moment Leo picks her up again, much to Bella's amusement. Their other children, Eli, Jay, and Jace, along with Lina and Alessandro, arrive to see the newborns.

"Dad, she’s a princess."

Leo turned toward his father with a proud smile, carefully adjusting the little girl in his arms so Alessandro could get a better look at her.

Alessandro’s eyes widened the moment he saw the baby.

For a second, he simply stood there, looking at the tiny girl wrapped in her soft blanket.

He had always wanted a daughter of his own. It was a wish he had carried for years, one that had never come true. And now, somehow, his son had fulfilled a part of that dream by making him the grandfather of a little girl.

The realization filled him with a happiness he couldn’t quite put into words.

"Oh, my goodness..." he murmured, moving closer.

Leo’s smile grew as he watched his father’s expression. He knew how much this meant to Alessandro and seeing him so delighted made him happy too.

"Look at her, Dad."

Alessandro leaned closer, examining the tiny face peeking out of the blanket.

The baby still had the wrinkled little face common to newborns but her eyes were beautiful. They appeared blue with a delicate brown ring around them, making them look unusually striking even at her tender age.

"She’s beautiful," Alessandro whispered.

He looked almost afraid to blink, as though he might miss something if he took his eyes off her.

Leo watched him for a moment before asking proudly, "Do you want to hold her?"

He was rather eager to show everyone just how attached his little princess was to him. After all, she had cried whenever he put her down and the moment he picked her up again, she had stopped.

He was quite certain that no one else could possibly compete with him.

Alessandro nodded immediately.

"Of course!"

Leo carefully transferred his daughter into his father’s arms, making sure her head was properly supported.

And then he waited.

He waited for the inevitable little cry, expecting his daughter to object to being held by someone other than her beloved papa.

But nothing happened.

His princess remained perfectly calm.

Alessandro looked down at her with an enormous smile, gently rocking her in his arms.

"Awwww..." he cooed. "Hello, little sweetheart. Look at those beautiful eyes! You’re absolutely adorable, aren’t you?"

The baby moved her tiny fingers against his shirt.

Alessandro’s heart practically melted.

"Oh, look at you!" he continued, his voice full of affection. "You’re going to spoil your grandfather, aren’t you?"

Leo’s smile slowly faltered.

He looked at his daughter, then at his father.

Then back at his daughter.

His princess had practically filed a formal complaint whenever he dared to put her down, yet here she was, behaving like the most well-mannered baby in the world in her grandfather’s arms.

Before Leo could make sense of it, Lina stepped forward.

"Let me hold her too!"

Alessandro reluctantly handed the little girl to his wife.

The moment Lina settled the baby in her arms, a loud cry filled the room.

"Waaah! Waaah!"

Everyone turned toward them.

Lina immediately looked concerned. "Oh, sweetheart! What’s wrong?"

She gently rocked the baby, trying to soothe her but the little girl continued crying.

Leo’s expression changed.

His eyes widened and then his face brightened with sudden realization.

She remembers Papa!

He straightened a little, looking far too pleased with himself.

"See?" he said, unable to hide his satisfaction. "She knows who she wants."

Lina and the others looked confused.

"Leo!" Bella Called weakly from the bed, sounding amused.

"What, Bunny? It’s true!"

Before Lina could try another way to calm the baby, Jay and Jace approached them.

Jay took one look at the crying little girl and held out his arms.

"Come here, little princess. Let’s see what’s wrong."

Lina carefully passed the baby to him.

And just like that, the crying stopped.

Jay blinked.

Jace blinked.

Alessandro looked equally surprised.

The baby settled comfortably in Jay’s arms, her tiny face relaxing as though nothing had happened.

Jay looked down at her.

"Well, hello there."

He grinned and gently bounced her in his arms.

"What’s all that crying for, huh? You were perfectly fine a second ago."

Leo’s smile disappeared again.

His daughter had stopped crying for Jay.

Jay, who wasn’t even her father.

Jay, who had absolutely no right to be this successful at calming her.

Lina, meanwhile, was looking at the baby with longing.

"Jay, let me hold her again. I want to cuddle with my granddaughter."

"Of course." Jay passed the baby back to Lina.

"Waaah!"

The room fell silent for a brief moment. Then everyone looked at Jay.

Jay looked at Lina.

Lina looked at the baby, who had once again begun crying.

"Oh, sweetheart!" Lina exclaimed, gently rocking her. "Grandma wants to hold you too!"

But the little girl seemed determined to disagree.

Jay quickly held out his arms again.

"Here, let me try."

Lina handed her back.

The crying stopped. Jay stared at the baby.

Then he slowly raised his eyes toward the others.

A grin spread across his face.

"Oh."

He looked at Leo, whose expression had darkened considerably.

"Bro, I have a theory."

Leo narrowed his eyes. "What theory?"

Jay adjusted the little girl in his arms, looking thoroughly entertained by the situation.

"I think our princess only likes being held by boys."

For a second, nobody spoke.

Then Jace burst out laughing.

Alessandro tried to hide his smile, while Lina looked between Jay and the baby in complete disbelief.

And Leo’s face darkened even further.

He looked at his daughter, who was now peacefully resting in Jay’s arms and then at Jay himself.

"Give me my daughter."

Jay immediately hugged the baby a little closer, laughing.

"Why? She’s perfectly happy with her uncle!"

"Jay."

"Leo."

"Hand her over."

"Bro, don’t be jealous. She’s only a baby!"

Leo gave him a look that would have made most people reconsider their life choices.

Jay, unfortunately, had never been most people.

He simply grinned down at the little girl.

"See, Princess? Your papa is already jealous. You’re going to have a very entertaining childhood."
