His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker. Chapter 940 Nervous papa
Previously on His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker....
Leo glanced down at Eli, who was still comfortably sitting in his arms.
Before he could say anything, Jay stepped forward."Let me hold him."
Jay reached out his arms toward Eli.
Leo looked at him for a second before carefully handing Eli over.
The moment Eli realized he was being transferred to his uncle, his expression immediately changed.
"Uncleee!"
He pouted, wrapping his little arms around Leo’s neck for another second as if he didn’t want to let go.
Jay chuckled and gently pulled him into his arms.
"Big Champ!"
Eli looked at him suspiciously.
Jay adjusted him comfortably against his side before explaining in a very serious tone,
"Your Dada needs to check on your little brother and sister. He can’t do that properly if he’s holding you, got it?"
Eli blinked, He looked at Jay.
Then at Leo. Then toward the delivery-room door.
His little face became thoughtful. "Oh..."
Jay nodded seriously.
"Exactly."
Eli finally seemed to understand.
He immediately stopped pouting.
"Okay."
Then he pointed toward Leo.
"Dada go see babies."
Leo smiled faintly.
"Yes."
Eli nodded proudly.
"I wait here."
Jay grinned.
"That’s my Big Champ."
Eli straightened proudly in his uncle’s arms.
"I am Big Champ."
Jay laughed.
"Yes, yes. We know."
Leo gave Eli one last look before turning toward the door.
His hand reached for the handle but before opening it, he paused.
He took a slow breath.
He suddenly felt nervous about something as simple as opening a door.
Because behind it was Bella.
The woman he loved more than anything.
And two tiny lives they had never expected to meet at the same time.
Leo quietly opened the door and stepped inside.
"Mr. Moretti," the doctor greeted him with a smile.
However, Leo barely registered the greeting because his eyes had already found the woman lying on the bed.
Bella.
His Bella Bell.
She was lying with her eyes closed, her face pale and exhausted and her hair scattered messily across the pillow.
There were still faint traces of tears on her cheeks, and her entire appearance made it painfully obvious how much she had gone through. On either side of her lay two tiny newborn babies, wrapped carefully in soft blankets.
Leo stopped walking.
For a moment, he simply stood there, looking at his wife.
His heart clenched.
He had known childbirth would be painful. The doctors had explained the process and he had spent months worrying about Bella’s health. But knowing something and actually seeing the aftermath were two entirely different things.
His Bella, who cried over the smallest things when she was upset with him, who pouted when he refused to give her something she wanted, who sometimes became so stubborn that even he couldn’t persuade her to listen, had just gone through labor and brought two little lives into this world.
Two.
When they had first learned about the pregnancy, he had been so happy that he could barely believe it.
He had spent months watching her tummy grow, taking countless pictures, talking to their baby when he thought Bella wasn’t paying attention and imagining what their child would look like.
He had worried about every little thing.
Was she eating enough? Was she sleeping comfortably? Was the baby healthy? Was Bella feeling too tired? Should he call the doctor again?
And now, after all that waiting, she had given birth to not one but two babies.
He couldn’t even imagine the pain she must have endured.
His eyes moved over her face again and a strange ache settled in his chest.
He wished he could have taken some of that pain away from her. If it had been possible, he would gladly have gone through it himself rather than watch her suffer.
But his Bella Bell was strong.
Much stronger than she probably realized.
A nurse approached him with a bright smile, noticing how his attention remained fixed on the bed.
"Mr. Moretti, your older baby is a boy, and your younger baby is a girl. Congratulations!"
Leo slowly turned toward her.
For a second, he seemed to remember that he was actually standing in a room with two newborns.
Then a wide smile spread across his face.
He nodded, unable to hide the happiness that rose inside him.
"Thank you."
The words came out softly, almost unlike the voice he usually used with other people.
His gaze returned to Bella almost immediately.
"How is my wife?"
The doctor, who had been checking her condition, answered reassuringly, "She’s stable, Mr. Moretti. She’s exhausted, which is completely understandable after the delivery, but we’re monitoring her closely. She needs rest and we’ll continue checking her recovery."
Leo listened carefully to every word.
"Is she in pain?"
"Some discomfort is expected after delivery. We’ll make sure she’s comfortable and provide the care she needs."
Leo nodded, taking the information seriously. He wanted to ask another dozen questions but he stopped himself when he noticed the doctor already preparing to check Bella again.
As long as she was stable, he would let the medical team do their work.
He could wait to ask everything else.
For now, he wanted to see his babies.
Slowly, he walked toward the bed.
His steps became strangely hesitant as he approached the two little bundles lying beside Bella.
Standing in front of two tiny newborns made him nervous.
They were so small, So unbelievably small.
He looked at the baby boy first, then shifted his gaze toward the little girl sleeping on Bella’s other side.
His children...His and Bella’s children.
A strange warmth spread through his chest, and he found himself smiling again.
The midwife noticed his hesitation and chuckled.
"You can hold them, Mr. Moretti."
Leo looked at her.
"Hold them?"
"Yes." Her smile widened at his expression. "They’re your babies."
Of course they were his babies.
He knew that.
But knowing he was their father didn’t magically teach him how to hold a newborn without worrying that he might do something wrong.
He glanced down at his hands.
Then at the baby boy, Then at the baby girl.
"Are you sure?" he asked, making the midwife laugh softly.
"I’m sure. I’ll help you."
She carefully explained how to support the baby’s head and neck, then guided him through the process.
