The door of the delivery room finally opened.

Everyone who had been waiting outside immediately turned toward it.

Leo, who had been pacing restlessly for what felt like hours, stopped in the middle of the hallway.

His eyes immediately locked onto the nurse as she stepped outside.

He was still holding Eli in his arms.

Eli had just come back from school and the moment he had heard that his Mumma was inside the delivery room, he came running here. Leo had picked him up and Eli had been asking questions the entire time.

"Dada, is Mumma okay?"

Leo had barely answered any of them.

He had simply kept staring at the delivery-room door.

Now that the nurse had finally appeared, Leo’s entire attention was on her.

"How is Bella?" he asked immediately.

The nurse smiled. "She is fine, Mr. Moretti."

Leo’s shoulders relaxed slightly.

Then the nurse’s smile became even wider.

"Congratulations, Mr. Moretti. You’re now the father of two babies."

Nobody reacted.

It was as though the words had reached their ears but their brains had refused to process them.

Leo stood completely still.

Eli was still sitting comfortably in his arms, one little hand resting against Leo’s shoulder.

Leo’s eyes widened slightly.

"...Twins?"

The nurse nodded.

"Yes. A boy and a girl."

Leo stared at her.

Then he looked toward the closed delivery-room door.

Then back at the nurse.

His expression was so stunned that he looked as though someone had just told him the entire house had somehow doubled in size.

"Twins?" he repeated again, almost as if he needed to hear it one more time.

Behind him, everyone’s expressions changed at once.

Lina’s eyes widened before a huge smile slowly spread across her face.

"Twins?"

Her happiness was impossible to hide. "Oh my God..."

She immediately covered her mouth with one hand, her eyes already shining.

"A baby boy and a baby girl..."

Alessandro looked absolutely thrilled.

"Two babies!"

He laughed, running a hand through his hair.

"Son well done!!!. You got two at once!"

Jay, however, looked like his brain had completely stopped working. His mouth had fallen open.

He stared at the nurse and then at Leo.

Then at the delivery-room door, Then back at the nurse.

"...Twins?"

Jace was standing beside him and unlike Jay, his face immediately lit up.

"Twins!"

His eyes sparkled with excitement.

"A boy and a girl!"

He looked at Jay with an enormous grin. "Dmmm! There are two babies!"

Jay finally seemed to regain the ability to speak.

"Wait..."

He pointed toward the delivery room.

"Two?"

The nurse laughed softly.

"Yes. Two."

Jay’s jaw dropped again. "But... weren’t we expecting one?"

"We were," Jace replied, still smiling.

Jay slowly turned toward Leo. "Bro..."

Leo still hadn’t moved. He was holding Eli securely in his arms but his attention was completely fixed on the nurse.

His expression remained stunned.

Leo blinked slowly. "Are you sure?"

The nurse nodded.

"Very sure, Mr. Moretti."

She smiled.

"Both babies are doing well and Bella is stable. The doctors were surprised too. The second baby wasn’t detected during the earlier examinations."

Leo’s eyes widened again.

He looked genuinely speechless.

Lina couldn’t contain her happiness anymore.

"We have twins!"

Alessandro immediately laughed.

"This family is getting bigger by the minute!"

Jace looked like he wanted to celebrate right there in the hallway.

"A boy and a girl. That’s perfect!"

Jay finally closed his mouth, only to open it again in disbelief.

"I seriously can’t believe it."

Then he looked at Leo.

"Bro, you went in there expecting one baby and came out with two."

Leo finally looked at him.

"...I know."

His voice was unusually quiet.

Jay stared at him for another second before grinning.

"Congratulations, Dad."

Leo didn’t answer immediately.

He simply looked down at Eli.

The little boy had been listening to everything.

His eyes had become wider and wider with every word.

Then suddenly, his face lit up.

A huge smile appeared across his little face.

"I got brother and sister!"

He threw both little hands into the air as much as he could while still being held by Leo.

"Yayyy!!!"

His excited voice echoed through the hallway.

"I got brother and sister! I got both!"

Leo finally looked down at him.

The stunned expression on his face softened.

Eli was practically bouncing in his arms.

"Mumma gave me a brother and sister!"

He looked around at everyone proudly.

"I am Big Champ!"

Jay immediately laughed.

"Of course you are."

Eli nodded seriously. "Now I am big brother too lalaalaaala~~hhehehehe~"

Alessandro smiled at his cuteness. "That’s right."

Eli’s excitement only grew.

"Can I see them?"

He turned toward Leo with sparkling eyes.

"Dada, can I see my brother and sister?"

Leo looked toward the delivery-room door again.

A slow smile finally appeared on his face.

"Soon, Big Champ."

Eli immediately grinned.

"Yay!"

Then he leaned closer to Leo and whispered loudly enough for everyone to hear,

"Dada..."

Leo looked at him. "We need more toys now."

Jay burst out laughing.

Jace covered his mouth, trying not to laugh.

Even Lina laughed.

Leo stared at Eli for a moment.

The little boy had already started planning for two new siblings before he had even seen them.

"Of course," Leo finally muttered.

Eli smiled proudly.

"I will share my toys."

He paused. Then added very seriously,"...Some of them."

That made everyone laugh again.

But Leo’s eyes slowly moved back toward the delivery-room door.

His smile became gentler.

He lowered his gaze toward Eli and gently kissed the top of his head.

Nurse smiled at them.

"You can go and visit inside. Mumma and the babies are doing well."

The moment Leo heard that, his expression changed.

He had been waiting for those words for what felt like forever, yet now that he finally had permission to enter, he suddenly looked nervous.

His eyes immediately went toward the delivery-room door.

Bella was inside And so were their two newborn babies.

For some reason, his heart started beating faster.

He had imagined meeting his baby countless times during the pregnancy. He had imagined holding the tiny child, seeing Bella’s expression, hearing their baby cry.

But he had never imagined walking into the room and finding two newborns waiting for him.
