His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker. Chapter 875 Suprise
Previously on His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker....
By the time the clock struck nine, Bella was ready.
She stood in front of the mirror for a few quiet moments, smoothing the dress over her waist. The soft fabric hugged her figure beautifully before flowing gracefully to her ankles. A delicate necklace rested against her collarbone, catching the soft glow of the fairy lights, while her long hair fell in loose waves over her shoulders, framing her face like a gentle halo.
She looked at herself, then smiled shyly.
"...I hope he likes it."
A gentle knock came from the bedroom door.
"Mrs. Moretti?" The maid’s respectful voice sounded from outside. "It’s time."
Bella took one last look in the mirror before stepping out of the room. The maid smiled the moment she saw her.
"You look absolutely gorgeous, Mrs. Moretti."
Bella’s cheeks turned slightly pink. "Thank you."
She followed the maid downstairs, where a black luxury car was already waiting outside the mansion. One of the guards respectfully opened the rear door for her.
"Please."
Bella nodded politely before getting inside. The door closed with a soft click. A moment later, the car quietly pulled away from the mansion.
Bella rested her chin lightly against the window, watching the familiar streets drift by. The roads felt familiar at first, the same corners, the same shops, the same trees lining the sidewalks.
After several more minutes, however, the driver took an unexpected turn.
Bella blinked. "...Hm?"
Another turn followed. Then another. The familiar streets slowly disappeared behind them. The buildings became different. The scenery changed.
Bella frowned slightly as she continued looking out the window. "...I don’t know this road." She tried to remember whether she had ever been here before. Nothing came to mind.
The car continued moving smoothly through quiet streets lined with tall trees and elegant lamps, their soft glow casting golden pools of light on the pavement.
She leaned forward slightly. "Excuse me..."
The driver glanced at her through the rearview mirror. "Yes, Mrs. Moretti?"
Bella smiled curiously. "...Where are we going?"
The driver returned a polite smile. "I’m sorry. Mr. Moretti instructed me not to reveal the destination."
Bella couldn’t help laughing. "Even you won’t tell me?"
"I’m afraid not."
She sighed dramatically before leaning back into her seat. "...So everyone is keeping secrets from me today."
The driver chuckled quietly but remained silent.
Bella folded her arms with a playful little pout. "Fine. I’ll wait."
Even so, her heart had already begun beating a little faster. Whatever Leo had planned, it was clearly something he wanted to surprise her with. The mystery made the whole journey feel even more exciting.
The car slowed down and came to a gentle stop.
Bella looked out the window. Confusion slowly turned into surprise.
"...A forest?"
One of the attendants stepped forward and opened the door for her.
"Mrs. Moretti."
Bella stepped out carefully.
The cool evening breeze touched her skin, carrying the fresh smell of pine trees, damp earth and blooming flowers.
In front of her stood a beautiful iron gate.
It looked like something from a fairy tale.
Delicate ivy vines wrapped around every curve of the gate, mixed with hundreds of tiny white flowers. Warm golden fairy lights were woven through the leaves, making the blossoms glow softly under the night sky. When the wind moved the vines, the tiny lights swayed like little stars.
Bella stared in quiet amazement.
"...It’s so beautiful."
The gate opened slowly by itself.
Beyond it, a narrow stone path led deep into the forest.
Thousands of tiny lights lined both sides of the trail, hidden among flowers and bushes. The whole path seemed to glow from the ground. Lanterns hung from low tree branches, casting soft golden pools of light.
Bella began walking slowly.
She looked around with wide, sparkling eyes, hardly believing what she was seeing.
"...Leo..."
A smile spread across her face.
"He planned all of this..."
After a few more minutes, the trees slowly opened up.
Bella stopped.
Her breath caught in her throat.
In front of her lay a small, clear lake. At the edge of the water stood a huge old oak tree, its wide branches stretching out over the shore.
The tree had been turned into something magical.
Long strings of warm fairy lights hung from every branch. Crystal ornaments caught the light and sparkled whenever the breeze touched them. Delicate glass hearts and tiny lanterns hung among the leaves, making it look like hundreds of glowing hearts were floating in the air.
Flower petals were scattered across the grass beneath the tree, forming a path toward a beautifully set table.
Bella walked closer.
The table was covered with deep red velvet, embroidered with delicate golden vines. In the center stood a tall arrangement of fresh roses, orchids, and white lilies, surrounded by dozens of floating candles resting in crystal bowls filled with water and flower petals.
Fine porcelain plates with gold edges reflected the candlelight.
Above the table, hanging from the oak’s largest branch, was a beautiful heart-shaped chandelier made of twisted vines and tiny white flowers. Thousands of small lights hidden inside it glowed softly.
Around the lake, hundreds of candles floated gently on the water. Their reflections danced across the surface like little stars drifting on the lake.
Bella’s eyes slowly filled with tears.
She turned in every direction, taking in every tiny detail.
She placed a hand over her racing heart.
"...This..."
Her voice was barely a whisper.
"Beautiful... so beautiful..."
"You like it?" A deep, familiar voice drifted softly through the night.
Bella’s heartbeat skipped.
Before she could turn around, two strong arms slipped gently around her waist from behind, pulling her back until her body rested securely against a broad, warm chest.
She let out a tiny gasp as she instinctively relaxed into him.
"...Leo."
His familiar scent surrounded her, clean, warm, masculine, with a hint of cologne that she had grown to love over the years.
Leo rested his chin lightly on her shoulder, his embrace tightening just enough to make her feel completely held. His lips brushed against her ear, his breath warm against her skin.
"So..." His deep voice rumbled beside her ear. "Do you like my surprise?"
