His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker. Chapter 874 Jay’s Suprise
Previously on His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker....
Jay leaned forward slightly, his voice quieter now, losing its usual playfulness. "Bella... you know you can tell us anything, right?"
Jace nodded, his eyes soft. "We’re family. Whatever it is, we’re here."
Bella looked at them, her eyes glistening. She wanted to tell them what she was feeling, but the words wouldn’t come.
Instead, she simply nodded and smiled.
"I know. Thank you."
Jay watched Bella’s expression with an unbearably smug grin. His eyes sparkled with mischief, and his lips curved into the kind of smile that usually meant he was about to say something utterly ridiculous.
He had known exactly what had been weighing on her mind.
Without saying a word, he reached into the inside pocket of his jacket and pulled out a neatly rolled document tied with a small ribbon. The paper looked official, with a wax seal and elegant lettering.
"Here."
Bella blinked. "...What’s this?"
"Read it."
She accepted it curiously and slowly untied the ribbon. As she unrolled the paper, her eyes moved across the page. The longer she read, the wider her eyes became.
"...You..." She looked up at Jay. Then back at the paper. Then at Jace. Then back at the paper again. "...Y-You..." She pointed at Jay with a trembling finger. "...You’re trying to have a baby?"
Jay puffed out his chest proudly. "Exactly."
Bella’s mouth fell open. "You really are?"
Jay nodded with complete confidence. "Not just me." He threw an arm around Jace’s shoulders. "It’s our baby."
Jace immediately rubbed his forehead. "...Jay."
"What?"
"You don’t have to announce it like you’ve won the lottery."
"I kind of did." Jay replied shamelessly.
Bella looked between the two of them in complete disbelief. "But..." She pointed at the document. "It says the doctor requested only one male sample. The other sample is a female donor sample which they will provide..."
Jay nodded. "Yep." He scratched the back of his neck before grinning sheepishly. "...And I may have had a brilliant idea."
Jace immediately closed his eyes. "...Here we go."
Jay proudly continued, "So I thought... why not mix mine and Jace’s together?"
Jace instantly covered his own face with one hand. "I told him it doesn’t work like that."
Bella froze. Her brain completely stopped working. "...You..." She stared at Jay as if he had just announced the earth was square. "...You mixed them?"
Jay nodded proudly. "Uh-huh."
Bella slowly turned toward Jace. "You let him do that?"
Jace sighed so deeply it sounded painful. "I didn’t. I spent twenty minutes explaining basic biology."
Jay shrugged. "I still think it was a creative idea."
Bella’s jaw dropped even farther. "W-Wait..." She quickly looked back at the document. "...Is that even possible?" She looked absolutely horrified. "Will the baby have... three people’s genes?" Her eyes grew so round they looked ready to pop out. "So..." She pointed at Jay. "Half you..." Then at Jace. "Half Jace..." And somehow..." She pointed dramatically at the paper. "...Extra bonus genes?"
Jay looked thoughtful. "Hmm... when you say it like that, it does sound pretty cool."
Jace smacked the back of Jay’s head. "It sounds impossible."
"Ow!" Jay rubbed his head dramatically. "You don’t have to attack scientific innovation!"
"That isn’t innovation." Jace replied flatly. "That’s confusion."
Bella looked completely overwhelmed. "My old biology teacher would cry if she heard this conversation."
Jay nodded seriously. "Mine probably would too."
"Then why did you do it?" Bella asked.
Jay shrugged with complete confidence. "I was curious."
Jace buried his face in his hand. "I’ve known him for years... and somehow he still finds new ways to surprise me."
Bella looked at Jay for another long second. Then suddenly burst into uncontrollable laughter. She laughed so hard she had to hold her stomach.
"I can’t..." She wiped away tears forming at the corners of her eyes. "You actually thought that would work?"
Jay folded his arms proudly. "Look, if nobody experiments, how does science move forward?"
Jace looked at him without a hint of expression. "...By letting actual scientists do the experiments."
Bella laughed even harder.
Jay exchanged a satisfied glance with Jace. Quietly, he smiled to himself. Embarrassing himself a little was worth it if it meant hearing Bella laugh like that again. He would make a fool of himself a thousand times over if it meant seeing her smile.

That evening, Bella quietly pushed open the bedroom door.
The moment she stepped inside, she stopped in her tracks.
Her beautiful big brown eyes slowly widened. The room looked completely different.
Soft golden fairy lights shone across the walls, filling the room with a warm, dreamy glow. Dozens of deep red balloons floated gracefully near the ceiling, while carefully chosen crimson roses and delicate white baby’s breath were arranged throughout the room. Their gentle fragrance filtered through the air, making the entire bedroom feel elegant and incredibly romantic.
A smile slowly spread across Bella’s face.
"...Leo."
She didn’t need to ask who had done this.
Her gaze wandered around the room until it landed on a beautifully wrapped shopping bag resting neatly at the edge of the bed.
Curiosity immediately filled her eyes.
She walked over and noticed a small cream-colored note attached to the handle with a satin ribbon.
She carefully peeled it off and unfolded it.
Her lips curved into an even brighter smile as she read the familiar handwriting.
Bella giggled softly to herself.
"So mysterious..."
She looked inside the bag. Nestled carefully in layers of soft tissue paper was a breathtaking dress.
She gently lifted it out, almost afraid to wrinkle it.
"...Wow."
The fabric was soft and luxurious, while the elegant design was simple yet breathtakingly beautiful. It was a soft champagne color, with delicate lace details along the neckline and a flowing skirt that would move gracefully with every step.
Her heart fluttered.
She held the dress against herself before turning toward the full-length mirror.
"...Do you think I’ll look pretty in this?"
She quietly asked her own reflection before laughing at herself.
Then, hugging the dress against her chest, she looked around the romantic room once more.
Every tiny detail had been prepared with care.
A warmth spread through her heart.
She glanced at the clock. There was still time before nine.
A soft blush appeared on her cheeks as she carefully placed the dress on the bed.
"I wonder..."
She whispered to herself with an excited smile.
"...What are you planning this time, Mr. Moretti?"
She hugged the dress to her chest for a moment longer before finally letting go. Then she hurried to the bathroom, her heart fluttering with anticipation.
