His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker. Chapter 867 I never imagined she was my mother
Previously on His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker....
Bella looked at the neatly arranged plates on the table.
Then at Miss J, who was quietly wiping a tiny spot of cream from the edge of the plate without even realizing she was doing it.
For some reason...
The ordinary little actions made Bella’s chest feel strangely warm.
She simply sat there, watching Miss J in a daze.
The way she naturally served her first.
The way she asked if the cake was too sweet.
The way she quietly reached for a tissue before Bella even needed one.
None of it felt forced.
It felt... natural.
Almost as if she had imagined doing these little things for Bella for many years.
Miss J noticed Bella staring at her and smiled curiously.
"What is it?"
Bella blinked before lowering her eyes. "...Nothing."
She quietly took another bite of cake.
But deep inside... her heart was becoming softer with every passing moment.

After Miss J left, Leo turned and looked at Bella, who was still hugging the little pink bunny absentmindedly. Her fingers were gently stroking its soft ear, her gaze distant, lost in thought.
He walked over and sat beside her. The couch dipped slightly under his weight and he turned to face her fully.
"...You like her."
Bella slowly looked up at him.
Leo’s gaze was calm and deep, as though he could read every emotion hidden inside her heart. "You like spending time with her..." He paused. "...A lot?"
Bella lowered her eyes and nodded softly. "...I do. I feel comfortable around her. When she talks to me, when she hugs me... I don’t know why, but I feel connected to her."
A faint smile appeared on her lips before it slowly disappeared. "But..." She paused, her voice growing quieter. "I never imagined she was my mother."
Her eyes gradually filled with tears. "When I think of the word ’mother,’ I remember Jessica. Not because she deserved it..." Her fingers tightened around the bunny. "Because I thought of her as my mother. Even if she lied to me... even if she kidnapped me... that habit and memory is still inside my heart." Her voice trembled. "I don’t know how to suddenly call someone else Mom."
Leo quietly pulled her into his arms. He gently kissed her forehead before resting his cheek against her soft hair. His hand moved in slow, soothing circles on her back.
"You don’t have to," he said softly.
Bella looked up at him.
"You don’t have to force yourself to call her ’.’ There are many other ways. You can continue calling her Miss J. Or simply J. You could call her Aunt J for now if that feels easier. Or... if one day your heart becomes ready... you can call her Mama J."
He gently brushed away the tears on her cheeks. "A title isn’t what makes someone family. Your feelings do. When your heart truly accepts her, the right word will come naturally. There is no deadline. There is no pressure."
Bella slowly nodded. "...Do you think she’ll understand?"
Leo smiled softly. "She spent years searching for you. I think... she’ll happily wait a little longer for a single word."
Bella rested her head against his shoulder again, feeling the warmth of his embrace. "...Then," she murmured, "I’ll keep calling her Miss J... until my heart tells me otherwise."
Leo kissed the top of her head. "That’s more than enough."

Later that night, after dinner, the mansion became quiet.
Bella was comfortably curled up in Leo’s arms on the bed, her head resting against his shoulder while he absentmindedly played with the ends of her soft hair. Her cute pink bunny was tucked beside them, as though it had already become part of their little family.
After a few moments of silence, Bella looked up at him, her brown eyes soft and thoughtful.
"...Leo?"
"Hm?"
"I was thinking about Jay and Boba."
Leo glanced down at her, his fingers still gently threading through her hair. "What about them?"
Bella frowned thoughtfully. "I think Jay can still divorce her." She paused, her brow furrowing. "What if he files for divorce here in City A instead of the country where they got married? Maybe the laws are different."
Leo thought for a moment before shaking his head. "He already tried."
Bella blinked. "He did?"
Leo nodded. "The lawyers looked into it. But Boba isn’t cooperating. Without her participation, the process becomes much more complicated."
Bella sighed softly. "She’s stubborn..."
"Hmm." Leo’s expression remained calm. "And now... she isn’t someone without influence anymore. Samuel transferred a large portion of his assets to her before everything happened. Combined with her successful acting career... she has both money and public influence."
Bella nodded slowly. "So... she’s not refusing because she needs anything from Jay?"
"I don’t think so." Leo answered honestly. "I believe she has another reason."
Bella tilted her head. "...Do you think she loves him?"
Leo looked at the ceiling thoughtfully. "Maybe. Before Jay fell in love with Jace... he was very popular. He dated several girls. It wouldn’t be surprising if Boba developed feelings somewhere along the way."
Bella quietly hummed. "...I see." After a moment, she sighed. "I still hope Jay can divorce her. If they don’t love each other... it isn’t fair to either of them."
Leo simply nodded. "So do I."
Bella’s eyelids gradually became heavier. She snuggled a little closer against his chest, her fingers curling into his shirt. Within minutes, her breathing became slower as sleep slowly claimed her.
Leo gently stroked her hair, making sure not to wake her. His own thoughts, however, drifted elsewhere.
Back at the hospital, shortly after he had regained consciousness, Boba had come to visit. Jay and Jace had been there as well. At first, he hadn’t paid much attention. But the more he watched, the more something felt... unusual.
Boba loved provoking them. Every sentence she spoke was meant to tease. Sometimes she directed her attention toward Jay, sometimes toward Jace. Watching both of them lose their patience seemed to amuse her endlessly. Meanwhile, Jay and Jace looked as though they wanted nothing more than to throw her out of the room. One was glaring. The other looked completely disgusted.
Leo slowly closed his eyes. "...What a strange relationship," he muttered under his breath. The more he thought about the three of them, the more confusing it became.
His head was already beginning to ache. "...Not my problem," he decided immediately. There were enough complicated people in his life already. He wasn’t about to solve whatever bizarre situation those three had created.
With that final thought, Leo wrapped an arm a little more securely around his sleeping wife, kissed the top of her head, and soon drifted peacefully to sleep beside his heart.
