His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker. Chapter 854 Jay’s secret
Previously on His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker....
Boba raised one eyebrow. "What? I can’t visit a hospital?" She folded her arms casually. "Besides..." She paused, letting the silence stretch. "I’m the one who replaced the bomb. I helped save your brother and sister-in-law."
Everyone stared at her. Even Jay and Jace looked surprised.
Then she casually added, "I changed the bomb. If I hadn’t..." She shrugged lightly. "Your brother and sister-in-law wouldn’t be alive today."
Everyone fell silent.
Jay stared at her. "...You?"
Boba nodded. "Yes."
Inside, she quietly smiled to herself.
Samuel... I kept my promise. You asked me to protect Bella no matter what happened. You even entrusted your people and half your property to me before everything fell apart. I told you then... I never break a promise. Looks like I managed to do it.
She looked completely calm on the outside.
Her gaze slowly shifted toward Jace.
A smug smile appeared on her lips.
Jace immediately frowned.
He knew that smile. It never meant anything good.
Year ago, while Jay had been sent away on a mission on Shravine and Jace had accompanied him. And this wicked woman... For money or maybe her own amusement, she had secretly mixed something into his whiskey. While he was in a hazy, confused state... She had tricked him into signing a marriage agreement.
By the time he regained his senses, it was already legally registered.
Jace had been furious. Jay had spent days trying to find a solution. Unfortunately... Shravine’s marriage laws were notoriously strict. Once the marriage was officially registered, both parties had to stay together no matter what, and according to their law, divorce was only possible in three years!
Which meant... Technically... She was still Jay’s secret wife.
Boba smiled even wider.
Honestly... Teasing those two was one of her favorite hobbies.
Lina asked in confusion. "Who is she, Jay?"
Jay answered through gritted teeth. "...No one."
Boba dramatically placed a hand over her chest. "Ouch." Then she looked toward Jay with a playful smile. "Baby..." She spoke in a sweet sing-song voice. "Why don’t you tell them the truth?"
The hospital corridor fell into a stunned silence.
Everyone stared at Boba, the woman who had just appeared out of nowhere, claiming to have saved Leo and Bella’s lives.
Jay’s face went through several expressions in rapid succession: shock, anger, disbelief and finally, pure, undiluted fury.
"Don’t call me that," he said through gritted teeth.
Boba tilted her head innocently. "Call you what? Baby?" She smiled sweetly. "But we’re married. I can call you whatever I want."
Lina’s and others’ eyes widened in shock.
"Married?" Lina looked at Jay. "Jay, what is she talking about? You just told us you love Jace. You want to marry him. How can you be married to this woman?"
Jay’s jaw tightened. He looked like he wanted to disappear into the floor.
"It’s... complicated."
Boba laughed softly. "It’s not complicated at all. We got married in Shravine. Legally registered. Binding contract." She glanced at Jace. "Your boyfriend can confirm. He was there."
Jace’s expression darkened. His fists clenched at his sides.
Lina turned to Jace. "Is this true?"
Jace hesitated. Then, reluctantly, he nodded. "Yes. It’s true."
William raised an eyebrow. "This is certainly unexpected."
Nonna looked between Jay and Boba, her sharp eyes narrowing. "You got married without telling anyone? In a foreign country? To a woman we’ve never met? Why didn’t you tell us?"
Jay rubbed the back of his neck. "It wasn’t—I didn’t—" He sighed, defeated. "It’s a long story."
Boba smiled warmly. "We can discuss the details later. For now, I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that I’m the one who saved Leo and Bella. You’re welcome, by the way."
Jay’s eye twitched.
Alessandro, who had been silent until now, finally spoke. His voice was calm but there was a sharpness beneath it. "How did you know about the bomb?"
Boba’s smile softened, just slightly. "Samuel told me. Before he died. He knew his father was planning something, and he asked me to protect Bella. He gave me access to his resources, his people, his information." She paused. "He wanted to make things right. Even if he couldn’t do it himself."
Alessandro studied her carefully. "And you agreed to help him?"
Boba shrugged. "I owed him. He trusted me with everything before the end. I wasn’t going to let him down."
The corridor fell silent again.
Jay looked at her, his expression unreadable.
Then quietly, he said, "Thank you. For saving them."
Boba blinked, clearly surprised. Then she smiled, genuinely this time.
"Don’t mention it."
She looked at Jace, her eyes glinting with mischief.
"So... is there a party later? I love celebrations."
Jace’s eye twitched.
Lina sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Jay, we need to talk about this marriage situation. You can’t be married to two people."
Jay rubbed his temples. "I’m not married to two people. I’m married to one person and I didn’t even want to be married to her in the first place."
Boba pouted dramatically. "That hurts my feelings."
Jay glared at her. "You tricked me into signing that contract."
Boba said, rolling her eyes. "You were very drunk."
"I was drugged!"
"Same thing."

Bella’s eyelids fluttered open.
The first thing she saw was the white ceiling, soft and unfamiliar. The second thing she felt was the warmth of a hand holding hers, old, wrinkled, trembling slightly.
She turned her head.
William was sitting beside her bed, his eyes red-rimmed, his face etched with exhaustion and relief. The moment he saw her awake, his whole body sagged.
"Grandpa..." Bella’s voice was weak.
William’s eyes filled with tears. He leaned forward and wrapped his arms around her, holding her gently, as though she were made of glass.
"My little turtle," he whispered, his voice cracking. "My sweet, brave little turtle."
Bella hugged him back, her fingers gripping his shirt. She could feel his heart beating against hers, fast and fragile.
"I’m okay, Grandpa," she whispered. "I’m okay."
William pulled back, his hands cupping her face. His thumbs brushed away the tears that had started to fall from her eyes.
"You scared me," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "You scared all of us."
Bella’s lip trembled. "I’m sorry."
"Don’t you dare apologize," William said firmly. "You have nothing to be sorry for."
He pulled her close again, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
The door opened, and the room filled with familiar faces.
