Bella reveals her memory loss to Dr. Vance, recalling only meeting Leo. She then excitedly confesses to creating a secret software that captures candid photos of Leo whenever she sees him on CCTV. Later, Leo takes Bella for strawberry ice cream, and she easily accesses her extensive photo collection on her phone, leaving Leo questioning her selective memory.

Bella nodded happily. "Mhm. I like taking pictures of you. You always look handsome." She smiled before taking another small lick of her strawberry cone. "I especially like it when you’re working. You look very cool."

Leo looked back at the gallery. There were so many moments... Moments he himself had completely forgotten. Moments he had never thought to capture.

A small smile slowly appeared on Leo’s face.

He reached over and lightly brushed a little strawberry ice cream from the corner of Bella’s lips with his thumb. "You’ve been secretly collecting me this whole time, hmm?"

Bella looked completely innocent. "I wasn’t stealing." She defended herself immediately. "The cameras already belonged to us."

Leo let out the quietest chuckle. "I suppose that’s true."

He closed the gallery but didn’t hand the phone back immediately. Instead, he looked at one final photograph.

It was a candid picture of him standing beneath the evening lights outside the company, completely unaware that someone was watching. His silhouette was sharp against the golden glow, his expression unreadable.

He looked at it for a long moment.

Then he handed the phone back to Bella. "Keep taking them," he said quietly.

Bella blinked. "Really?"

He nodded. "Really."

Bella smiled, bright and genuine. "Okay."

She hugged her phone to her chest, her ice cream forgotten for a moment.

Leo started the car and pulled back onto the road.

By the time they reached home, the sun had already begun to sink below the horizon, painting the sky in soft shades of orange and pink. The long shadows stretched across the driveway, and the evening light filtered through the tall windows of the mansion, casting warm golden patterns on the floors. The world outside was quiet, settling into the peaceful hush of twilight.

Leo parked the car before walking around to the passenger side. The engine clicked softly as it cooled, and for a moment, he simply stood there, watching Bella through the window. Her eyes were half-closed, her head resting against the seat. A small smear of strawberry remained at the corner of her lips, a tiny remnant of her earlier joy.

He opened the door.

The moment Bella stepped out, she instinctively slipped her hand around his arm, holding onto him as though letting go wasn’t even an option. Her fingers curled into the fabric of his sleeve, her body pressing close to his side. She didn’t look up at the house or at the garden or at anything else. Her eyes remained fixed on him, as if he was the only anchor in a world that had suddenly become unfamiliar.

Leo didn’t say anything.

He simply covered her hand with his own and walked beside her.

As soon as they entered the house, Aunt Clara looked up from arranging fresh flowers in the living room. A warm smile appeared on her face.

"You’re back."

But the smile slowly faded the moment she saw Bella.

She stood quietly beside Leo, clutching his arm with both hands, her eyes lowered to the floor. Her usual brightness was gone. The lively sparkle she always carried had faded, replaced by a quiet, fragile stillness. Her shoulders were hunched, her steps hesitant.

Concern immediately crossed Clara’s face. She walked closer, her footsteps careful and unhurried.

"Dear..." Her voice became much softer. She gently reached out as if to touch Bella’s shoulder but stopped halfway, afraid of startling her. "What’s wrong with Bella?"

Leo’s expression remained as calm and unreadable as ever. "Nothing is wrong with her." His answer was short.

Clara knew him well enough to hear what he wasn’t saying. She looked between the two of them, her heart quietly tightening. She saw the way Bella clung to Leo, the way her eyes never left his face, the way she seemed to have shrunk into herself.

She simply nodded gently. "I’ll prepare something light for dinner. Something easy to eat. Maybe soup."

Leo gave a small nod in return before leading Bella upstairs.

Throughout the entire walk, Bella never loosened her grip on his arm. It was as though she was afraid that if she let go, he might disappear. Her steps were slow, her breathing soft, her eyes fixed on the ground ahead of them.

When they reached their bedroom, Leo quietly opened the door. The familiar room greeted them with its peaceful warmth—the soft lamplight, the curtains drawn against the evening, the bed with its plush pillows and neatly folded blanket.

The moment Bella stepped inside, her expression softened. The tension in her shoulders eased, and she let out a small, shaky breath.

Without saying a word, she hurried toward the bed.

She climbed onto it almost immediately before reaching for the two plushies resting against the pillows.

She gathered both of them into her arms and hugged them tightly against her chest. Her fingers pressed into the soft fabric, holding them as though they were precious treasures. She buried her face briefly in their fur.

A tiny sigh escaped her lips.

She curled onto her side beneath the blanket, her body folding into a small, familiar shape. The plushies were tucked securely against her chest, her chin resting on top of Moonbeam’s head.

Within moments, her eyelids became heavy. The exhausting day had completely drained her.

Leo quietly walked over and gently pulled the blanket higher around her shoulders. The fabric rustled softly as he tucked it around her, careful not to wake her.

One of Bella’s hands was still wrapped around Moonbeam. The other loosely held Berry.

Leo carefully brushed a few loose strands of hair away from her face before resting his hand lightly against her forehead. Her skin was warm but not feverish. Her breathing was calm, slow and even.

He remained sitting beside the bed, watching her for several silent minutes.

His fingers gently stroked her hair with the same tenderness he always showed her.

She looked peaceful now, her face relaxed, her lips slightly parted, her grip on the plushies finally loosening as sleep fully claimed her.

"Sleep well, Bunny," he whispered.

He continued to sit there.

After around an hour, Leo quietly stepped onto the balcony and gently slid the glass door shut behind him.

The evening air was cool against his skin. The stars were beginning to appear, scattered across the darkening sky like tiny diamonds.

Inside the bedroom, Bella was sleeping peacefully, curled around Moonbeam and Berry.

His phone vibrated.

The caller ID read:

Leo answered immediately.

"Hello."

Dr. Vance’s voice remained calm and professional. "Good evening, Mr. Moretti. I hope I’m not calling at a bad time."

Leo’s voice was quiet. "No. Go ahead."
