Jay confessed his love for Jace to his family, stunning his mother and grandmother. While his father Alessandro questioned the nature of their feelings, Jay affirmed his certainty. The family patriarch William offered his support, followed by Jay's mother Lina and father Alessio, though Nonna remained in shock.

Nonna suddenly pouted. "Then who is going to give me great-grandbabies?" Her voice sounded genuinely heartbroken. "I’ve been waiting for years! All my friends have great-grandchildren. They show me pictures. They tell me stories. They bring them to visit."

She folded her arms like an upset child. "My friend Teresa keeps bringing pictures of her chubby little great-granddaughter just to show off."

She huffed dramatically. "I’ve wanted to steal that adorable baby so many times."

The entire family laughed.

Nonna admitted with an embarrassed smile. "When I was young, I couldn’t stand babies. They cried all the time and demanded attention every minute."

Her eyes softened. "But now... I can’t walk past a baby without wanting to hold them. They’re so small and soft and perfect."

She looked lovingly at Leo and Jay. "When these two were little, I spoiled them every chance I got. I used to sneak them extra cookies when their mother wasn’t looking."

Her smile turned emotional. "Before this old woman leaves the world... I just want to hold my own great-grandchild once."

The room became quiet again.

Jay suddenly raised his hand.

"Nonna, don’t worry," Jay said.

He flashed one of his usual mischievous grins. "I’ve already done my research."

Everyone looked at him.

"These days there are lots of ways to become parents," he continued, counting on his fingers. "Surrogacy. Adoption. There are so many options now, Nonna. If science keeps advancing, who knows what else the future will bring? Maybe one day they’ll figure out how to grow babies in gardens, and we’ll just pick them like flowers when they’re ready."

His eyes sparkled with playful mischief as he shrugged dramatically. "Until then, we have plenty of time to figure it out. So don’t worry. You’ll definitely get your great-grandbaby. I promise."

He winked. "So you’ll definitely become a great-grandmother."

Nonna’s eyes sparkled. "Really?"

She immediately stood up. "Then what are you waiting for? Go get me a baby! Right now! Today!"

The entire room froze.

Leo looked at her with his usual expressionless face. "Nonna. Babies aren’t groceries that you pick up from the supermarket."

Several people burst into laughter.

"They need time. They need planning. They need preparation," Leo continued, glancing at Jay and Jace. "So let them enjoy being a couple before you start assigning them homework."

Nonna narrowed her eyes at Leo.

For a few long seconds, she simply stared at him without saying a word.

Leo raised an eyebrow. "...What?"

Without warning, Nonna marched straight toward him.

Leo frowned in confusion. "Nonna...?"

The next second, she reached up and grabbed his ear.

Twist.

Leo’s eyes widened. "Nonna!!"

He instinctively bent down a little as she continued pulling his ear, his tall frame folding slightly to accommodate her determined grip.

Nonna scolded, her voice sharp but not truly angry. "You little rascal! Now you’re the one teaching me how to behave? I’ve been on this earth longer than you’ve been alive, young man. I don’t need lectures from a grandson who still can’t fold his own socks properly."

Leo protested, trying to gently free himself without using any force. "Nonna, that hurts. Let go."

"No! You deserve it. Talking to me like I’m a child. I raised your father. I raised you. I have earned the right to ask for great-grandbabies whenever I want."

Bella stood beside them, staring for a second before both of her hands flew to her mouth.

A soft giggle escaped. Then another.

Soon she couldn’t stop laughing.

Her shoulders trembled as she watched the terrifying, expressionless Leonardo Moretti, the man everyone feared, the man who made grown men tremble with a single glance, being punished like a mischievous little boy by his grandmother.

It was simply too adorable.

Leo looked at her helplessly. "Bella... You’re laughing?"

Bella nodded while trying to hold back another laugh. "I’m sorry..." She wasn’t succeeding at all.

Jay instantly pulled out his phone. "This is legendary."

He lifted the camera. "The great Leonardo Moretti getting his ear pulled. This is going straight into the family archives."

Leo’s cold gaze shifted toward him. "Jay. Delete that."

Jay grinned shamelessly. "No chance."

Another one.

William let out a hearty laugh, his shoulders shaking with amusement. "I haven’t seen anything this entertaining in years!"

Alessandro covered his mouth, unsuccessfully hiding his smile. His eyes crinkled at the corners, and his shoulders trembled with suppressed laughter.

Even Lina looked away for a moment, the corners of her lips lifting despite herself.

Finally, Bella walked over and gently wrapped both hands around Nonna’s wrist.

"Nonna," she said softly, smiling with those warm, pleading eyes, "please let him go."

Nonna looked at Bella for a moment. Her grip loosened slightly, but her eyes remained narrowed.

Then she gave Leo’s ear one last tiny tug before letting go.

"Hmph. I’m only listening because my precious granddaughter-in-law asked so sweetly. If it were anyone else, I’d still be pulling."

Leo sighed in relief and rubbed his slightly red ear. The skin was warm to the touch, but there was no real damage.

Bella couldn’t help smiling.

She stood on her tiptoes and gently brushed her fingertips over his ear. "Does it hurt?"

Leo looked into her sparkling eyes. Her brown eyes were warm, full of affection and amusement.

"It did," Leo said.

He slipped one arm around her waist, pulling her close. His hand rested on the small of her back, warm and possessive.

"But seeing you laugh like that..." A faint smile appeared on his usually unreadable face. "...I suppose it was worth it."

Bella’s cheeks turned pink, and another tiny laugh escaped her lips. Her hand lingered on his ear, her touch soft and gentle.

"Should I kiss it better?" she whispered playfully.

Leo’s eyes darkened slightly. "Later."

Nonna cleared her throat loudly. "Alright, alright. No more romance in front of the elderly. I’m too old for this."

Jay laughed. "Nonna, you started this."

Nonna huffed. "I started nothing. I was just teaching my grandson some respect."

She sat back down, a satisfied smile on her face. "Now, where were we? Oh yes. Great-grandbabies."
