Heaven, Earth, Me Chapter 1727. Who Gets the Armor? [End of Volume 26]
Previously on Heaven, Earth, Me...
In the end, the competition took the form of a tournament. This was because Yasenia told them her family would not participate. So, the juniors from the large families that entered with them prepared to battle.
Since this place was another dimension, the seniors created a temporary tournament arena and even stands, and Yasenia’s group took an honorary position right by Xinlin’s side.
Jian Xinlin spoke to Yasenia as the juniors prepared for a standard tournament. “It’s quite incredible.”
Yasenia blinked and looked over, her golden slit eyes questioning. “What is?”
Xinlin glanced up and to the side at the mountain-sized armor. “That you can give up a treasure of that caliber. Do you not understand how powerful it is, or are you just desireless?”
Yasenia laughed. “I’ve stayed alive by knowing which treasures are my destiny and which aren’t. That one is not something I can have. So, I’d rather give up and see how others kill each other for it.”
Tatyana and the girls looked at Yasenia in silence, their gazes screaming that their dragoness was a shameless liar!
Xinlin hummed and nodded. “I guess that’s the only way someone like you can reach your current level without a tragedy happening to you.”
Yasenia nodded, as if she strongly agreed. Inside, though, she was grinning. ‘Hehehe. Wait until I am strong enough. Whoever has that armor, prepare yourself because it is my Darling’s! I am only TEMPORARILY lending it to you. Hmph!’
The girls, even without mind-reading abilities, could tell exactly what Yasenia was thinking.

The tournament was nothing special. Juniors from each power participated, using their strong abilities to show off and bring glory to their powers.
There were talents who stood out, even among these top geniuses. Yasenia leaned back and glanced at Qinqin. “Where are you among the top of your generation?”
Qinqin pouted. “Yasenia, although by your standards, I might not be exceptional, I was one of the strongest in my generation.”
Xinlin laughed. “She tells the truth. I can only name three individuals stronger than Miss Shang in her generation. It is because of her talent and insight that Ancestor Shang takes care of her. Without his help, Miss Shang might’ve already fallen to the schemes of her peers.”
Yasenia hummed, causing Shang Qinqin to growl at her. “Yasenia! Why are you making that sound as if everyone in my generation is useless, ha?!”
Yasenia stifled her laughter and answered in a nonchalant tone. “No. Nothing. I was just… thinking.”
“Agh!”
Qinqin lunged forward, but Yasenia’s agile tail kept parrying her hands with no effort. The girls who knew Yasenia noticed hints of laughter in her curved eyes. ‘She really likes teasing Qinqin, doesn’t she? Haha.’
The tournament continued, and in the end, the two who reached the finals were Isla and Jaxon. Yasenia had seen them fight, and they were strong. However, she didn’t dare make an objective evaluation herself, so she asked Valeria.
“Valeria, if we’ve been at the same level, how strong would they be compared to me?”
Valeria crossed her arms under her heavy bosom, lifting them slightly. Behind her, the emerald-scaled tail swished as she mulled it over in serious thought.
The girls were surprised that she took this long to think. Were they really that strong?
Valeria commented. “I’d say that you’d need to use two of our strengthening boosts to defeat them.”
Xinlin thought that was a lot, but Yasenia, who had quite a few more, tilted her head. “They are not weak, then. Not everyone can force me to use several of my strengthening skills at the same level. Usually, I can straight up crush them.”
Valeria smiled and nodded. “They are not weak at all. Quite strong, although not at your level. Kali would probably win against either of them, but not by much.”
Kali nodded. “I do agree that they feel quite strong. I would probably never lose against either of them, even at the same level. Nevertheless, defeating them wouldn’t be a walk in the park either. They must’ve gotten strong inheritances back then that transformed them into a Divine and a Demon.”
“Transform?”
Xinlin blinked, and Yasenia smiled. “Yes. They were humans before. Or, well, humans with Demon and Divine bloodlines. From what I know, they received a strong inheritance that completely purified their human bloodlines and brought out the ancestry hidden within.”
Since Isla and Jaxon would most likely talk about her to their people, Yasenia would do the same. If she was going to be scrutinized, they’d better prepare to have their own species breathing down their necks to know about their inheritances.
Jaxon raised his giant hammer and snarled at Isla. “Today, I’ll make you mine, Isla!”
Isla spread out her wings, sword in hand. “You know that’s never going to happen, Jaxon.”
Usually, she’d add something about becoming the last supreme talent, but today, she felt that saying it would be like humiliating herself.
Isla was arrogant, but Yasenia’s mere existence pressed on her like a mountain. Even then, she hadn't completely given up. ‘If we are on the same level, I am confident I won’t lose.’
Jaxon was also somewhat greedy for Yasenia. If Isla felt like his dream woman, Yasenia was like the Goddess he didn’t even dare imagine because she was too unrealistic.
So, in this battle, he was determined to defeat Isla and capture Yasenia’s attention.
They rushed at each other, their faces serious.
Isla’s body glowed with multicolored lights as water-like energy flowed around her body. The energy came from her general Divine species, a subspecies with incredible combat power.
Meanwhile, Jaxon burned like a newborn star. Incomparable heat that burned the fiercer Jaxon’s emotions were covered his giant hammer and his now taller body.
As their Intent Domains spread, changing the surroundings, Jaxon’s giant hammer descended while Isla raised her hand to defend.
BOOM!!
The multicolored water rippled violently, smoke covering the surroundings, which cleared right away as their attacks began creating shockwave after shockwave.
Isla’s sword flashed during the gaps in Jaxon’s attacks, carving long lines into him. His demonic blood flowed, but Jaxon and Isla both seemed unconcerned, neither celebrating nor mourning his injuries.
The reason became apparent a while later. The more damage Jaxon took, the stronger his attacks became. His species, which was based around revenge, came with many perks for extended combat and resilience.
He was almost as hard to kill as a Phoenix.
Yasenia couldn’t help but comment. “They fight like they’ve done this thousands of times. How often do these two clash?”
Jian Xinlin answered. “They are the two top prodigies, so quite often. You can see them almost in every competition where there are good enough rewards. Even in Secret Realms and other explorations, they appear often. Because they have been almost killed by the other party when they participated, you always see them accompanied by a powerhouse for protection.”
Yasenia hummed. “They will be fighting for a while, though. I can’t see either of them falling soon.”
As Yasenia noticed, their battle lasted for over 30 hours. Close calls, back-and-forths, hidden skills, and many other exciting moments happened during the battle.
Isla rushed forward, one of her wings half-torn, and moved around Jaxon’s body like water. Her sword slashed upward, cutting off one of his wings.
Jaxon roared in pain as his hammer swung a full circle around him, creating a massive whirlwind of fire. It struck Isla, and her body was flung into the sky.
When Jaxon jumped upward to smash her down, Isla opened her arms and created a waterfall of multicolored liquid that covered the sky.
BOOM!!
Jaxon was slammed to the ground, and Isla channeled a final strike, aiming a gigantic, mountain-dwarfing sword of light at his heart. Her voice was hoarse as she shouted. “DIE!”
Seniors from both sides moved quickly, stepping in to intervene. The result had been decided.
“Isla wins!”
Yasenia clapped lightly, the sound small. “It was a great fight. It would be fun to fight both of them at once if they were at my level.”
Her tone was controlled so only those around her could hear her. She didn’t want to brag, just to comment about a battle she liked to watch. Angel, who was on Yasenia’s lap, giggled. “Even then, wouldn’t you easily win if you go all out? I’ve noticed that they would be helpless against your most powerful skills like Draco’s Descent or Empyrean Day and Night Cycle.”
Yasenia placed her chin on Angel’s shoulder and hugged her closely. “Well… A battle where I go all out is satisfying, but I don’t need to go all out to have fun. Fighting strong people while controlling some of my skills is quite fun as well.”
Angel giggled and kissed Yasenia’s cheek.
Evelyn commented. “So, this means that the Divines get the armor? That armor feels quite demonic, though. I wonder who will wear it?”
Xinlin tilted her head. “They are rare, but there are some Divines who can control darkness and similar elements. I know a few of them. Their personalities are quite gentle, though… Well, at least from what I’ve seen. Everyone shows a perfect facade in front of others, don’t they?”
Yasenia smirked. “Oh? Are you doing that right now as well? I am quite curious, Lady Xinlin.”
“Perhaps I am. Perhaps I am not.” Xinlin smiled faintly. “You would do great to not trust anyone fully, Yasenia. Just keep that in mind.”
Yasenia didn’t deny it.
Unbinding the armor from the chains took a long time. It was a quiet reminder to Yasenia of how exceptional Mirrory and the others were. For them, it was a matter of an hour or two. For these seniors, it took them almost three months to finally shrink and store away the giant armor.
Even then, it was not usable at all.
When they stored the armor away, Yasenia glanced sideways at Tatyana. Tatyana pulled out a device and nodded back secretly. ‘It works.’
Yasenia’s tense feelings relaxed, and a faint smile hung on her lips. “Alright. The spectacle is over, then. Time to return, get a few more treasures, and then end the Royal Hunt. How much time is left?”
Andrea answered her. “Around a month left. What do we do? Do we keep investigating this place, or do we leave?”
Xinlin spoke to them. “Stay in the castle. I promise you that this unknown location has several times as many treasures as the ones outside. Moreover, everyone has agreed to a temporary ceasefire here, so you won’t be ambushed. Explore this place, and when the month’s up, return with us.”
Yasenia laughed and nodded. “Alright. If Lady Xinlin says so, we’ll do just that.”
For the next month, Yasenia’s group stayed inside, explored a few rooms, and picked up some treasures, while other groups explored different locations. A leisurely time with no remarkable events.
That was the end of Yasenia’s first Royal Hunt. Now, she’d have to maneuver around the consequences of some of her actions, like killing the incubi group and the Empress’s excessive and almost obsessive focus on her.
Even the Third Prince and First Princess might be scheming. ‘We are returning home, but why do I feel safer in this forsaken palace instead? Sigh.’
