Heaven, Earth, Me Chapter 1647. Abyssal Human. (1)
Previously on Heaven, Earth, Me...
The first clash between Yasenia and the Abyssal Human happened in an instant. Yasenia’s movement speed was fast enough that even Tatyana and the other seniors saw her body blur for a second.
And yet, as the battle flag pierced forward with world-destroying momentum, the Abyssal Human reacted.
Flesh sprouted and hardened, creating ten black carapaces in its path.
Yasenia’s battle flag struck and crushed the first eight almost instantly, slowing down as she streaked through the ninth and tenth. Her armored body, having overcome the defenses, arrived and struck against the Abyssal Human’s main body with weakened force.
The large flesh monster was thrown back several hundred meters from the impact, but in a battle between powerhouses at their level, that was nothing. With bizarre movements, the flesh ball stretched several tentacles and closed the distance, a gaping maw full of misaligned yet razor-sharp teeth trying to swallow her.
Yasenia spoke coldly. “[Dying Sun].”
Concentrating the skill, a large sun manifested in front of the dragon as she was being swallowed.
Yasenia moved Draheart, which was in the shape of a giant shield large enough to cover Yasenia’s entire body, and detonated the skill.
A white flash swallowed everything before the impact of the skill struck Yasenia and expanded within the Abyssal Human. The resulting explosion was catastrophic.
The monster’s flesh tried to resist, but its durability gave up right away. A deafening sound blasted outward as the flesh of the monster scattered in several pieces in all directions.
Meanwhile, Yasenia was blasted backward and escaped the momentary tense situation, reaching the edge of the seal and using her tail and legs to slow the impact force.
Even when the Abyssal Human scattered, Yasenia didn’t let her guard down for an instant. Instead, her draconic helmet opened at the mouth, stretching to reveal her sharp teeth and wide-open mouth.
“[Celestial Dragon Breath].”
Yasenia’s first three moves were basically her strongest, showing how little chance she was trying to give the Abyssal Human. And yet, during the time Yasenia was pushed back and stabilized her body, the scattered pieces of flesh reformed at the very middle, acting as if nothing had happened.
Just as it reformed, celestial blue light covered the Abyssal Human’s vision. A blue colored dragon breath surrounded by stars, galaxies, and other celestial phenomena impacted onto it with enough strength to annihilate space around it into a black void.
The explosive sound and impact were so large that the Abyssal Human’s giant body became half-scorched, its figure flying off into the distance.
Yasenia gave chase immediately, activating all her movement techniques to devour the distance between the two.
When she arrived a second later, the Abyssal Human had once more reformed, looking at her with all its scattered eyes, full of bloodthirstiness and madness.
SCREECH!!
Its sanity-draining scream tried to destabilize and damage Yasenia’s soul… but the attack fell short. Yasenia’s monstrous soul acted like an impenetrable shield, only the surface trembling as a result of its attempt.
Countless flesh tentacles with different forms attacked Yasenia from all sides, but Yasenia was not flustered.
“[Grand Cosmos Martial Art, Fifth Form: Nebula Ripple].”
The energy coursing through Yasenia’s meridians transformed, manipulating the surrounding energy as her movements became sharper and more compact. With a movement of Draheart, Yasenia blocked the tentacle. At the moment of impact, a phantom-like nebula scattered around her.
When the tentacles came into contact with it, they all acted as if the air had turned into an incredibly thick liquid, struggling to advance or move at all.
With their speed reduced, Yasenia’s shield and tail moved in coordination, blocking all the attacks with surgical movements.
A cacophony of metal against flesh surrounded Yasenia, who was in the middle of a storm-like attack. Her powerful Spiritual Sense and sharp draconic eyes took everything in around her, avoiding all damage and jumping back with only a few white marks on her armor.
Spinning the battleflag, Yasenia struck the ground. “[Star Dome].”
Just a second later, the energy around Yasenia twisted, and Abyssal Spears covered everything like a locust swarm.
The [Star Dome] stopped those spears for a moment, crumbling quickly. Although it collapsed, Yasenia gained enough time.
“[Heavenly Constellation Steps, Third Sky: Orion’s Shield].”
A gorgeous, starry arched shield manifested above Yasenia, blocking all angles of attack. The shield resisted firmly, cracking here and there under the torrential rain of Abyssal Spears.
While Orion’s Shield blocked the attacks, Yasenia activated Pegasus Gallop, using its instant acceleration to escape the attack area. A second later, Orion’s Shield collapsed.
The Abyssal Human’s countless eyes followed Yasenia’s speedy figure, using its dozens to hundreds of flesh tentacles to follow after Yasenia with maniacal obsession.
From the outside, everyone looked incredibly tense. This first section of their plan was both the riskiest and probably the most important. Yasenia was currently fighting to gauge the Abyssal Human’s strength and cognitive abilities.
Seeing Yasenia engulfed in those terrifying attacks and barely escape with masterful use of her defensive skills, everyone felt as if they were riding a roller coaster of emotions.
Tatyana’s muscles had been twitching ever so often, her desire to lunge forward almost overcoming her terrifying patience and willpower.
Even then, her unblinking, wide-open ruby-red eyes didn’t miss a single micromovement in the battle unfolding before her. Yasenia looked like she could bear her weight, but the increasing white scratches in her pristine draconic armor showed that this battle was completely out of her weight class.
In a one-on-one, Yasenia’s defeat was more than guaranteed.
Meanwhile, Yasenia’s mind was working faster than ever, her movements becoming increasingly refined as she danced around the deadly battlefield of flesh and Abyssal Energy.
With each passing second, Yasenia grew stronger. Her movements became increasingly sublime. All the small barriers preventing her skills from reaching the [Big Improvement] realm were breaking one after another.
Shattering The Heavens evolved after using it to escape a dangerous situation.
Grand Cosmos Martial Arts’ styles evolved one after another, their essence becoming more profound.
Sun’s Crushing Blow reached a new realm after using its pressure to momentarily freeze the abomination.
Yasenia’s golden slit eyes were both focused yet somewhat hazy as she moved. All skills, as she used them in this life-and-death battle, attained the [Big Improvement] skill realm.
After a long time, Yasenia had once more entered a state of enlightenment, bringing about a small miracle in a desperate situation.
The people outside became stupefied, not having expected such an event. Even then, no one cheered, no one lost focus, and no one said anything.
Their muscles tensed up even more, regardless of the battle’s condition.
The Abyssal Human became increasingly frantic, its attacks disregarding its own safety to attack the slippery armored dragon woman. Its screeches tore through the air, causing a sense of nausea.
After around ten minutes of back-and-forth fighting, Yasenia had long left the enlightenment state. Her mastery didn’t decrease, though; it was still increasing, albeit much more slowly.
It was at this moment that her senses and skills finally couldn’t keep up, and one tentacle slipped past all her defenses from the right side, where the shield was the furthest away to move.
Her tail had just been repelled from blocking ten other strikes, so this attack was unavoidable and unblockable.
The Abyssal Human’s mouths stretched widely, grinning.
Yasenia tensed, her muscles and senses on high alert. ‘Grit your teeth!’
BOOOM!!!
Yasenia’s armor cracked as her waist bent sideways from the terrifying force. Her muscles, bones, and blood vessels cracked or snapped, and an instant later, Yasenia’s body transformed into a blue shooting star.
The Abyssal Human, finally smelling that sweet scent of blood, went completely berserk. A laugh-like screech escaped it, its form speeding after Yasenia with terrifying agility and movements.
Yasenia, swallowing back the pooling blood in her throat, planted the flag’s butt and shield against the ground, sliding across the ground.
“[Heavenly Constellation Steps, Fifth Sky: Aquarius’s Rain].”
A cosmic jar held by a gorgeous goddess tilted down, her gentle smile showing care and concern for Yasenia as she drizzled the starlight-like liquid.
In the small time the monster took to arrive, all of Yasenia’s wounds healed perfectly, restoring her to her peak. If Yasenia’s defense and offense were terrifying, her healing factor and ability to recover didn’t fall behind in the slightest.
The grueling and torturous training and journey she had gone through for 200 years had transformed her into an all-rounder monster.
With her feelings running wild, Yasenia roared powerfully. “COME AT ME!”
Her loud voice caused [Celestial Dragon Roar] to activate, causing the Abyssal Human to trip and scream in pain as its soul wounds opened up throughout its flesh. Nevertheless, the pause was momentary.
Having received so much damage from such a weakling.
Having smelled Yasenia’s delicious dragon blood.
Having fought for all this time without results as the weakling slipped from its maws just before it tasted her.
Having gone through all of that, the Abyssal Human’s world narrowed down to a single individual.
With a screech that sounded as if it had lost even that thread of rationality, the Abyssal Human’s body deformed as it gripped the floor with several tentacles and rushed toward Yasenia.
Yasenia also gathered her strength and rushed toward the Abyssal Human.
BOOM!!!
Their collision caused the very world to tremble.
Tatyana’s low and cold voice spread out. “Start.”
Every single individual rushed forward, passing through the seal and making their presence known to the Abyssal Human. If they had entered at first with Yasenia, the Abyssal Human would’ve been rampaging around in search of absolutely anyone to eat.
Now, though, it didn’t even react to them. Its tentacles, eyes, mouths, ears, senses, and attention were fully focused on the armored dragon woman.
All the formation masters, Tatyana and Angel included, poured out several materials and began drawing a gargantuan formation with terrifying speed.
Meanwhile, Cecile’s cold voice spread out as she ordered the combatants to cover different locations to avoid secondary damage.
Kali worked with Valeria, Anna, Eve, and the other alchemist maids to aid in the secondary formation's construction through their alchemy.
Meanwhile, Mirrory streaked through the air, arriving just above Yasenia and the Abyssal Human, her hands stretching out as countless mirrors manifested around her. “[Divine Truth: Deflection].”
Yasenia’s body was enveloped by a soft, multicolored glow. The effect of Mirrory’s skill was that all direct damage that fell onto Yasenia’s body would now be redirected to the mirrors. Each mirror was incredibly durable, so her already monstrous defense became even more outrageous.
Regardless, Yasenia didn’t get the wrong idea. She, as if that skill had never been cast on her, continued to fight desperately while blocking, parrying, and dodging the torrential barrage of attacks from the Abyssal Human.
Looking at her fight, Mirrory couldn’t help but feel a touch of emotion. In her eyes, that pisqueak who interrupted her ritual and the current her overlapped, showing just how much growth the dragon woman had gone through.
