Cecile and Evelyn find themselves in a trial, surrounded by copies of their companions. Cecile swiftly eliminates several fakes, while Evelyn uses her keen observation to identify the impostors. After a series of trials and a difficult choice, Evelyn unleashes her power, clearing the fakes and reuniting with the real Angel.

Tatyana sat in a makeshift throne made out of bones. In front of her, the copies had been twisted open in ways that would make describing it in words challenging.

With one leg placed over the other, Tatyana placed her elbow on the high leg and rested her chin on her palm. Her vibrant red eyes looked at "Yasenia" at her feet, or what remained of that form. After knowing that the being in front of her was not Yasenia, Tatyana destroyed her face, tore out her curves, and made sure that whatever humanoid remains remained would not resemble Yasenia in the slightest.

"Interesting. So you are a flesh golem."

That was the source of these copies. They were flesh golems that used the mimicry abilities of the lizard-like creatures. The information for them to transform into almost perfect copies came from the previous Value trial, where they had to discuss, make complex decisions, and even fight together.

This allowed them to almost perfectly mimic aura, voice, manners, tics, and even speech patterns. "Moreover... you have the ability to read memories to a degree, making sure that you can pass this Heart Trial without being easily discovered."

In a way, they were the scaled-down version of the creatures that almost destroyed this society in the past. Almost because the true source of the calamity had been the Abyssal Human. Without that individual’s presence and strength, those beings would’ve been defeated by the society back then.

Tatyana stood up elegantly, her loose black dress generously revealing her cleavage and shoulders. As she approached the flesh golem, the only sounds that came from it were gurgling sounds. "Your strength is pitifully low, though. What if you get attacked during the Heart Trial?"

Pitifully low was a harsh evaluation, though. Their strength was more or less comparable to an average Level Five Transcendence Realm cultivator. For most participants, it was more than enough.

As she caressed the exposed inwards, the flesh golem, or what was left of it, twitched violently. Tatyana smiled, her eyes languid yet carrying a hint of coldness. "Imitating my Little Treasure is... a crime punished by undeath. Death, after all, is far too merciful. It’s better to keep you in limbo, hovering between living, dying, living, dying, living, dying, living, dying, living, dying, living, dying..."

Each time she repeated those words, the red in her eyes swirled like a whirlpool of blood. After repeating those words mechanically for a minute, her senses snapped back, a smile appearing on her succulent lips. "Oh my, I almost got lost in my bloodlust for a moment."

As she glanced around at the rest of the mutilated flesh golems, they all twitched and trembled in fear. While these golems were usually created to die shortly after, that didn’t mean they lacked the ability to feel pain.

Tatyana tapped her chin and looked at the mansion in the distance. "According to them, the challenge ends when either all of the flesh golems are dead, or when you pass through all the trials inside the mansion. The trials are quite nasty, though. Betrayal, death of close people, choosing between close people, and many more choices that would tear most people’s hearts into pieces..."

Tatyana’s lips arched. "Say... Should we experience those things together?"

The flesh golems trembled and gurgled as they heard Tatyana’s laughter. That gentle, seductive laughter caused goosebumps from just hearing it. Of course, knowing the source or not made the meaning of those goosebumps polar opposites.

"Well, let’s end it."

Tatyana preferred to stare at Yasenia’s face rather than going through whatever these trials had prepared. "Ah... My precious Little Treasure~."

Her heart beat up slightly faster, and a gentle flush appeared in her cheeks. "I really... want to eat her."

With a tap of her foot, the flesh golems were enveloped by several hands and dragged into the ground. As for their destination, well, it was Tatyana’s research center. ’I may be able to make some interesting undead if I know their mechanisms. I can also ask later those Guardians about it...’

Her vision flashed, and Tatyana returned to the white room. Glancing around, she noticed several people around. Even those who were not in Yasenia’s initial group. Of those people, many had dark expressions, while some looked terribly pale. It was clear that the Heart Trials had scarred some of them.

"Let’s see... found them~."

Her body flashed as she appeared behind Yasenia, hugging her from behind as she settled her butt on top of Yasenia’s tail. "Little Treasure~."

Yasenia, who had been speaking with her lovers, turned her head and chuckled. She moved her tail root upward to lift Tatyana and kissed her lips gently. "You took a while, Mom. We are all out already."

As she said, all of the girls had already finished and gone through the Heart Trials. Even the maids had finished. Tatyana looked closely at the 250+ maids. "Good, it seems that none of you were affected."

The maids bowed faintly, appreciating her acknowledgment. Of course, if they had been affected, the result would not have been something as simple as a verbal answer.

Tatyana rested her chin over Yasenia’s shoulder, placing her cheek against Yasenia’s. "How was it?"

Yasenia turned a little, her warm, golden slit eyes filling Tatyana’s vision. ’Ah... her eyes are so beautiful.’

"Are you asking about the trial, Mom? Well, it was unpleasant. How dare they mimic you and the girls? I just tortured them until they told me how to pass the trial. After that... I tortured them a while longer until I was satisfied and returned."

Tatyana laughed, pecking Yasenia’s smooth cheek. "I see. I did the same~."

The rest of the girls laughed awkwardly. The tales Kali and Yasenia told them were truly... beyond expectation. ’Thankfully, we are on Yasenia’s side.’

Evelyn and the others could only feel pity toward their enemies. Tatyana, pressing her breasts seductively against Yasenia’s back, spoke lazily. "The next is the strength trial, right? I wonder what we will fight?"

Yasenia spoke wistfully. "I hope it is another Golden Giant... Perhaps one somewhat stronger."

She was not arrogant enough to fight a giant a whole stage above the Golden Giant. Half-Step Transcendence Realm cultivators were completely and utterly out of reach for Yasenia. However, a slightly stronger Golden Giant might result in a more satisfying fight.

Evelyn sighed. "If we need to fight a Golden Giant individually, I might be eliminated. I am not strong enough."

When they combined their strength, Evelyn was confident in defeating it. However, it was not a being that she could beat alone. Even Yasenia struggled somewhat alone, so Evelyn did not have misplaced expectations.

Cecile spoke up. "I want to try."

She, like Yasenia, was quite a battle fanatic. So, she wanted to try it.

"Everyone has finished."

A voice that echoed around the white room caught their attention. Looking toward the source, Yasenia and the other girls finally met with who they wanted.

Eight individuals, all of them covered in dark cloaks to hide their features, stood before eight golden figures. Yasenia’s eyes lit up, her eyes shining with greed and battle intent.

Angel giggled. "Congratulations, Yasenia. Your wish is going to come true!"

The eight guardians had been paying attention to Yasenia, and they couldn’t help but flinch when they felt her terrifyingly strong will to battle. ’...Don’t look at us that way. We are getting scared!’

More than anyone, they knew the terrifying strength of the dragon woman. None of them were delusional enough to think they could take her on.

Someone suddenly interrupted. "You... Are you the current Lord Guardians?"

The distorted voice of one of the guardians spread around the room. "That is correct."

That same man distorted his expression and shouted. "What kind of trial was the one before!? Do you know how terrifying it was!?"

Yasenia and her group glanced over, eyes filled with contempt. The guardians were calm, though. There was always someone who would curse at them because of the Heart Trial.

"Such are the trials created by the first Guardians. We went through it, and everyone else here also did. Why is it only you who protest? Reflect and go back."

With a wave of their hand, the man vanished before he could speak again. Tatyana, still clinging to Yasenia’s back and fondling Yasenia’s soft breasts, hummed. "They used a teleporting formation. Quite an advanced one at that."

Kali asked, amused. "Why are you fondling Yasenia, mother-in-law?"

Tatyana sighed comfortably. "It’s healing. Look."

She squeezed, and her fingers sank deep enough for the flesh to wrap around them. She basically hid her entire hand into Yasenia’s breasts. "Ugh... so soft."

The girls couldn’t help but gulp. Yasenia’s breasts were truly soft. Meanwhile, Yasenia blinked and smiled, not minding at all.

"We will now present the final trial. The trial of Strength. You will fight the Golden Guardians behind us. Those who manage to last against them for more than our records will take our posts if your scores in your previous trials match. Those who can’t will be eliminated."

Yasenia tilted her head, and she asked aloud. "Last against them? Don’t you mean defeat them?"

Even when they were all hidden away by their dark clocks, the girls could swear that they saw their eyebrows twitch. One of the Guardians answered. "They are... not entities to be defeated."

Those words were not a very good choice, as they made Yasenia’s competitiveness flare up. Her lips arched. "Hehe... what if I do?"

"I would ask you to stop before they are destroyed. They are very precious and impossible to replicate.... Also, Miss Dragon, could you ask the woman on your back to stop... massaging you? It is not a place for such indecent actions."

Tatayna answered languidly. "I don’t want to..."

"How dare you speak so disrespectfully!?"

Someone jumped from the side, causing the eight guardians to break out in cold sweat. ’Why are you provoking that abomination!?’

Tatyana’s fingers stopped exploring Yasenia’s soft breasts, and her red eyes moved to the side. The woman who had jumped and was about to speak froze, her vocal cords only letting out a strangled scream as she fell back in fear.

With a sigh, Tatyana jumped down and stood by Yasenia’s side. "Whatever. So, we just have to beat up those things until they can’t move, right?"

The Guardians, who had wanted the process to be a bit more solemn and lengthy, could only swallow their regrets. This Guardian Trial was a bit different since these anomalies had appeared, so they decided to just skip formalities. "Yes. You need to either fight it to a standstill for more than our records, or you can also defeat it... But please, do not destroy them. If they are destroyed, it would be a massive, irrecuperable loss."

Someone snorted. "If it is that easy, I will go first."

Everyone glanced over and didn’t move. Someone had joyfully offered to be a guinea pig to test those things. There was absolutely no reason to step forward together with the fool.

That changed quickly, though. "There are only eight slots. So, once one Golden Guardian is defeated, you will only be able to challenge others."
