Heaven, Earth, Me Chapter 1572. Found You, Sweetheart.
Previously on Heaven, Earth, Me...
As Yasenia held Angel, who was happily seated on her lap and enjoying the cookies she'd baked, a sense of both excitement and apprehension washed over her. They were traversing the void, and she cast her gaze into the distance.
"Tatyana, is there anything unusual happening with Cecile, similar to what occurred with Kali?"
Fortunately, Tatyana had gained some insight from Clara’s earlier reports. However, she felt it wasn’t necessary to disclose everything, as the upcoming meeting was destined to be unique.
Unlike her other romantic partners, Yasenia shared a profound Interlocked Souls connection with Cecile. Consequently, as long as they were in relative proximity, Yasenia wouldn’t need to actively search for her.
Simply following her heart was more than sufficient for Yasenia to discern Cecile’s whereabouts.
"Hm... Indeed, there is something noteworthy. However, I believe it would be best for you to uncover it yourself."
Yasenia narrowed her eyes. "You mean there's no danger involved?"
"None at all, not even around her. Cecile is living a life of opulence, quite befitting a princess."
Yasenia blinked, her expression one of mild surprise. "That's… a rather peculiar comparison."
Evelyn glanced at Tatyana, her eyebrow arching. "Don't tell me Cecile has actually become a princess?"
Tatyana simply shrugged. "You'll find out when we arrive. We're only about a week away, aren't we?"
Yasenia let out a sigh, looking at Tatyana with a sense of resignation. However, given that Clara was communicating effectively this time, unlike with Flora, she didn't press the matter further. Instead, her hand gently stroked Angel’s long, silken blonde hair, her mind adrift in thought.
Andrea couldn’t help but chuckle. "Are you feeling nervous?"
Yasenia couldn’t quite mask a slightly embarrassed smile. "To be honest, I am a little worried. I feel quite on edge, and if there is something amiss with Cecile’s situation, I might truly lose control and go on a rampage."
While Yasenia didn't typically feel burdened by eliminating those who troubled her, she was reluctant to embrace a devilish nature. Her past actions in the Holy Beast Empire had already been quite severe, pushing the boundaries of what she considered acceptable.
Therefore, if she were to unleash another rampage in Cecile’s world, Yasenia would feel a pang of guilt towards the innocent inhabitants. 'The collateral damage from my battles doesn't usually weigh heavily on me. However, indiscriminate slaughter is not something I take pleasure in.'
Yasenia relished confronting formidable opponents and surpassing her own limits. She did not enjoy bullying others unless they provoked her significantly. The challenging aspect with Cecile was that almost anything could potentially ignite her temper.
Taking a deep breath, she inhaled the cosmic energy around her and then exhaled gently. "Tell me about this world."
Tatyana leaned back, taking a sip from a glass of milk tea, the milk freshly squeezed, of course. "Let's see... This world is quite unique. It's called [Azure], and it's not a spherical world but a planar world, much like the Blue Pearl World."
Evelyn blinked in interest. "Oh~?"
Andrea hummed in understanding. "A planar world. A 'flat' world that exists within a sub-dimension of a Heavenly Layer, growing quite vast, correct?"
"Yes," Tatyana confirmed with a nod. "These worlds are immense because they generally lack distinct boundaries. Of course, there might be an 'end' if they aren't exceptionally large, but typically, they span tens to hundreds of times the size of spherical worlds."
Yasenia inquired, "Is it special because there are few planar worlds in this Heavenly Layer?"
"No," Tatyana replied with a smile. "It's special because this world stands as one of the most powerful within the entire Heavenly Layer." She added, "A Heavenly Layer is too vast to definitively name a single number one. Still, when we were searching for suitable locations for your wives, I didn't discover any world more developed than [Azure]."
"Speaking of which, how exactly did you manage that?"
Tatyana chuckled. "We acquired a galactic map, displayed it on my personal flying ship, and then visited several hundred worlds. If any of them exhibited a particular attraction or connection to any of the other worlds, I would simply leave behind the individual and her personal maid and continue our journey."
Yasenia laughed, pulling Angel closer. "That sounds rather haphazard. I had imagined you would compile a list of worlds and then deliberately choose where to place them."
Tatyana shook her head. "That would have been far too… troublesome. Relying on instinct is often the best approach in such situations. Didn't each of them discover something remarkable?"
"That is true. After all, fate does exert an influence on the paths people take."
Evelyn clicked her tongue lightly. "Someone I know isn't, or is barely, influenced by fate, though."
Yasenia responded with feigned innocence. "Who might that be? I haven't the faintest idea~."
Evelyn rolled her eyes, an amused glint in them.
"So…" Kali placed her teacup down, her curiosity piqued. "[Azure] is quite a powerful world."
"That’s an understatement," Tatyana commented. "As one of the top powers, the number of Transcendence Realm cultivators is in the hundreds of thousands. That’s basically the same amount as most worlds in the Heavenly Layer above us have."
"Hundreds of thousands... in the mid-level Exalted Heavenly Layer..." Yasenia muttered, quite awed at this information. "Why has it not ascended?"
"Planar worlds are quite difficult to ascend. I am personally unsure as to why that is..." Tatyana looked toward Angel, or more specifically, Angel’s mirror necklace.
Mirrory manifested and glanced at Tatyana strangely. "You don’t know?"
"I don’t," Tatyana said candidly. "I have not really looked into how to ascend worlds, to be honest."
Mirrory shook her head. "The reason planar worlds are hard to ascend is that they are worlds that have descended."
"Hm?"
Mirrory spoke nonchalantly. "A Planar world is a fragment world from a world that was previously above their current Heavenly Layer. At least, that’s the case for 99.9999% of them."
"Oh~. Interesting." Tatyana rubbed her chin. "Well, it doesn’t matter. The thing is that [Azure] is a pinnacle world that is about to ascend."
"’About to’ is quite vague..." Evelyn muttered.
Tatyana shrugged. "It’s not like anyone can know beforehand. Only faint traces and warnings can be noticed beforehand, but never an exact date."
Yasenia gave Angel a cup of milk tea. "Let’s return to the subject. Cecile is in [Azure], right? What type of world is [Azure] in terms of culture?"
Tatyana sighed. "Sadly, the answer is the boring one. It follows the same faction division. Only... This world is a humanoid-dominated world. Beasts are not considered intelligent species and are hunted actively."
"...Huh?" Yasenia asked, confused. "Then how come Sweetheart is doing fine?"
"She has never revealed her Phoenix form. So, she has always masqueraded as a Phoenix beasthuman."
Yasenia pouted. "Sweetheart must feel stifled. Even I need to stretch in my dragon form from time to time."
While a beast didn’t really need to transform, it could become somewhat annoying to stay in a human form for long periods of time.
Angel saw Yasenia pout, and she picked a biscuit, placing it before Yasenia’s mouth. "Eat."
Seeing the food offered by her baby, Yasenia didn’t even hesitate and bit down deliciously. She even used her long tongue to lick Angel’s fingers clean by her tongue coiling around them.
Angel blushed and looked at her hands in a daze, her mind going to very pink places. ’Yasenia’s tongue is really agile...’
Even the other girls couldn’t help but blush a bit. Yasenia smacked her lips. "Delicious."
Evelyn chuckled. "Praising your own food, quite shameless."
Yasenia blinked. "I was talking about Angel’s fingers."
Evelyn once more rolled her eyes.
Feixue, who had been listening silently, asked with caution. "Master... will Master’s soulmate be bothered by our contract? We can terminate it if you want."
Kali recalled and asked, curious. "Right, how come you’ve created a beast contract with Little Feixue?"
Yasenia told the summarized version, and Kali soon understood. Her tails flicked playfully. "That’s quite an interesting story. I wonder how Cecile will react?"
Yasenia pondered and shook her head. "I am not sure. Still, since I like Feixue, Cecile won’t do anything strange. If it bothers her, she will ask to cut the connection bluntly and be done with it." Here, she paused a little. "Well, that’s at least what she would’ve done in the past. Honestly, I am not really sure how much her personality has changed since then.
Andrea chuckled gently. "Knowing her, she might not have changed in the slightest. After all, her mind should’ve been filled with getting stronger and nothing else. Where is the time to develop emotionally?"
Fexiue was quite curious about Cecile. "Is Master’s Soulmate a cold person?"
Evelyn smirked. "That’s what confuses most people. Outwardly, she looks as if she couldn’t care less about what happens around her. Still, once you get to know her, she is one of the most chatty people. The funny thing is that Cecile speaks with quite an emotionless tone, so it’s always a treat to see her ramble. She can be quite cute."
Yasenia smiled softly, and time continued to flow by. Soon, they arrived at the nearby area, and the ship crossed [Azure]’s Heavens, entering the world hidden away.
The second they entered, Yasenia, already standing at the front of the flying ship, closed her eyes and allowed her energy to pulse outward very gently. She didn’t want to catch the attention of people, but she also didn’t hold back in terms of distance.
For those at the apex of power, it felt like a mere brush on the shoulder, while those at the lower echelons wouldn't perceive it at all.
The purpose behind this subtle pulse was to awaken her connection with Cecile.
Meanwhile, in the depths of the Scarlet Sun Empire, Cecile's eyes suddenly fluttered open, a flicker of bewilderment clouding her icy blue gaze. 'This sensation…'
Though an immense amount of time had passed, Cecile could never mistake the unique resonance of Yasenia's Qi. She turned to Clara, her voice imbued with gravity, "Clara, did you sense it?"
Certainty did not deter her from seeking confirmation. Clara, standing nearby, paused for a moment before inquiring, "Madam, are you referring to that gentle pulse of energy?"
Upon hearing this, Cecile rose to her feet, her typically stoic countenance transforming with a vibrant, expectant glow. "She has arrived."
Fate, it seemed, had other plans, as Prince Xinghong chose that very moment to enter, just as Cecile stood and her expression shifted. Even Saira, usually unflappable, was rendered speechless by Cecile's radiant, beaming smile. It was akin to witnessing the thawing of mountain frost, revealing blossoms in its wake.
Cecile yearned to abandon all else and rush out. However, acknowledging the prince's presence, she halted her impulses, striving to contain her elation. 'She will come to me directly, so causing a commotion by leaving now could complicate matters. It's best to await her arrival and our reunion here.'
This poignant decision inadvertently sealed Xinghong's impending fate.
Concurrently, far removed from Cecile's current whereabouts, Yasenia's golden, slit pupils snapped open, her head instinctively turning towards Cecile's location. A thrilled smile curved her lips. "Found you, my dearest."
