Heaven, Earth, Me Chapter 1569. Xa Tian’s End.
Previously on Heaven, Earth, Me...
Xa Tian felt an agonizing sensation, as if his heart was being torn out.
’Why is this happening?’
He conceded that upon his initial resonance with Kali, he experienced surprise, yet also considerable happiness and intrigue. Although not one to boast, he recognized his exceptional cultivation talent. The appearance of a Soulmate signified either an immense, forceful fondness or a destined encounter.
’Still… is this truly necessary?’
Observing his father’s severely injured body, hanging limply as Yasenia held him by the throat, Xa Tian's voice cracked. "Stop it! Are you not yet satisfied?!"
The dragon woman, adorned in a crimson dress, a vision whose beauty outshone the sun, stars, and moon, regarded him with utter disinterest. "Satisfied?"
Seductive, demonic red lips curved upwards. "Calamity War Knights… annihilate everything. Only when the Holy Beast Empire is utterly eradicated will I find my satisfaction."
GRAAHHH!!!
The terrifying roars of the black knights assaulted his ears, and then Xa Tian witnessed them disperse in every direction.
As these monstrous entities surged towards the nearby settlements, Xa Tian’s heart ached with remorse and sorrow. His gaze, settling upon the fox woman resting serenely in Yasenia’s embrace, a faint, peaceful smile gracing her features, turned dark, the shadows rapidly consuming him.
The man who had previously been nearly free of Heart Demons, possessing a resolute will and an upright demeanor… fractured.
BOOM!!
Yasenia, poised to channel her energy into sustaining Xa Tian’s ravaged form, abruptly sensed a chilling surge of power erupting behind her.
Turning, she raised a delicate eyebrow. "Oh? Consumed by Heart Demons? I presumed his mind possessed greater fortitude… No." Yasenia narrowed her eyes, a low chuckle escaping her lips. "You have willingly succumbed to the Heart Demons to attain greater power."
"Yasenia Dravory!!!"
A guttural, raw scream tore from Xa Tian’s throat as his body erupted with astonishing power. Exchanging a look with Yasenia, Anna and Eve released their hold on him.
Swiftly, the man’s form shimmered with white and black energy, expanding into a magnificent black-and-white serpent stretching over three kilometers. This colossal serpent, capable of engulfing mountains, opened its maw, intending to swallow Yasenia whole.
Yasenia’s gaze flickered towards Xa Tian’s father, her eyes glinting. With a subtle motion, his lifeless body was propelled forward, entering Xa Tian’s gaping mouth and vanishing down his throat.
BOOM!
The immense impact sent the giant serpent’s body hurtling hundreds of kilometers away. Once separated, Yasenia finally had the opportunity to properly observe Xa Tian’s beast form.
"Quite peculiar," she mused.
A serpent marked with black and white patterns, sporting seven curved horns and seven distinctive markings atop its head.
Meanwhile, though Xa Tian had succumbed to his Heart Demons, a sliver of his sanity remained intact. His body moved without his conscious control, but his formidable will maintained a semblance of awareness.
Thus, the mental shock of Yasenia’s recent action momentarily paralyzed the colossal serpent. Yasenia’s voice penetrated his reeling consciousness. "Was he appetizing? Perhaps I should have prepared him differently. Still, your form will suffice. I’ve never sampled Beast Meat tainted by Heart Demons. I wonder about its edibility."
Xa Tian’s final mental defense crumbled, and he plunged into complete madness.
The scales of the white serpent became corrupted, darkening to an intense black, while his eyes bled crimson. Not in color, but Xa Tian’s serpentine eyes were actively shedding blood.
HISSS!!!
A piercing reptilian shriek, laden with emotions too profound to articulate, echoed through the air. It was a lament of madness, fury, futility, and… utter despair.
Upon hearing this mournful cry, Yasenia nodded and turned to Kali. "I shall end him now. Would you prefer to do it yourself?"
Kali shook her head, her emerald eyes softening. "Your doing so is… preferable."
Initially, she had considered severing the bond with her own hands. However, witnessing Yasenia’s brutal subjugation of him had become a far more… captivating spectacle. While the shock of the Calamity War Knights had somewhat tempered her fervor, she still desired Yasenia to resolve this matter.
"Very well." Yasenia momentarily released Kali and fixed her gaze upon the charging, deranged serpent. "I shall deliver the final blow now."
She surged forward, the very fabric of space around her rippling like disturbed water due to her accelerated propulsion. Before the colossal serpent, empowered by exceptionally potent Heart Demons, could even stir, Yasenia materialized directly above its head and drove her fist downwards.
Yasenia’s delicate fist struck the serpent’s scales, causing Xa Tian’s massive head to cave inward. His enormous form plummeted, impacting the earth with the force of a meteor.
Regardless of any enhancements he might have undergone, his opponent was Yasenia. As a Level 2 Mythical Core Beast, Xa Tian was woefully outmatched.
Consequently, no final struggle ensued. Yasenia simply pointed downwards, her lips parting slightly. "Farewell."
Soul energy emanated from Yasenia, coalescing into a colossal, translucent pillar of azure light. She then condensed this energy into a shockwave, thrusting her hand forward.
THUD!
A sharp, dry sound that sent shivers down spines echoed. Xa Tian’s eyes glazed over as the colossal snake creature he was raising, its head cracked and bleeding, crumpled lifelessly.
The three-kilometer-long serpent sank slowly, its massive form descending as if in slow motion. "Garest, my dear, place him in the ring. He’ll make an interesting meal."
The snake’s corpse vanished.
What of its bloodline inheritance? Without a soul, how could one achieve reincarnation? Yasenia had effectively annihilated everything with a single, decisive strike.
Observing the lingering traces of resentment in the vicinity, Yasenia paused, drawing a deep breath. She then puffed out her cheeks and exhaled. "Puff..."
Celestial Flames engulfed everything, their spread fueled by the very world around them. Once done, Yasenia rejoined Kali, inquiring softly, "Are you content now?"
Kali nodded, embracing Yasenia and nestling her face against Yasenia’s chest, her heart filled with joy.
Holding her gentle and pliant fox companion, Yasenia smiled too. "Very well... The next destination is your sect, isn't it?"
Kali looked up and giggled. "Yes. Also..." She hesitated before asking, "May I bring Du Yanyu and a few others along? Their aptitudes are quite remarkable, and they are such good children. Hearing them affectionately call me Mistress Kali has endeared them to me."
"Certainly. We can arrange for them to go to the Sky Continent for a period of development. We did the same with Andrea's disciples."
Kali beamed and nodded. "Let’s go gather them!"
Thus, with celestial flames obliterating all evidence of Xa Tian’s existence to prevent any unforeseen consequences, the group departed.
As they ascended, Andrea approached, casting a backward glance. "Will those flames eventually extinguish?"
"I am unsure."
Receiving such an unexpected response, Andrea let out a sound of confusion. "Huh?"
Yasenia turned to her, her golden, slit pupils glinting with curiosity. "I have never permitted my flames to spread uncontrollably. After I attack, I always recall them. Therefore... this is the first time I've set a portion of a forest ablaze and left the flames to their own devices."
Evelyn blinked, a flicker of apprehension in her voice. "Your flames won't consume the entire world, will they?"
Yasenia tilted her head. "Unlikely, I presume? I mean, they should be easily extinguished by Transcendent cultivators."
Tatyana’s scarlet eyes sparkled. 'Little Treasure's first world-consuming act of arson! How utterly magnificent!'
Alas for Tatyana, the inferno was eventually subdued through the combined efforts of several formidable individuals. However, by the time they managed to quell the blaze, nearly nine percent of the world's landmass had been reduced to ashes.
Hundreds of thousands of kilometers away from the Holy Beast Empire, which was currently being trampled by the Calamity War Knights, Kali’s sect found itself under siege.
The impetus for this sudden assault stemmed from information regarding the Holy Beast Empire's predicament involving Kali, which had rapidly disseminated through urgent communication channels.
Consequently, to exact retribution before Kali could fully recover her strength, several sects pooled their might, resolving to annihilate the [Endless Death Poison Sect].
Du Yanyu, positioned within the violently shaking defensive formation, exclaimed with profound indignation, "Did I not already state that Mistress Kali has absolutely no involvement in this!? The one causing trouble was a dragon woman!"
She directed her gaze towards Leral, her expression twisting with disbelief. "You were present that day, and you are fully aware of the truth! How utterly spineless of you to leverage this against us when you know the reality!"
Leral's eyes flickered with a hint of guilt. Yet, this presented an opportune moment to eliminate their sect's sworn nemesis. Thus, she hardened her features and shook her head. "Du Yanyu, surrender. In doing so, we can at least ensure you leave behind an intact corpse."
Du Yanyu's contorted face broke into a venomous smile. "You will suffer a terrible demise, LERAL! NONE OF YOU WILL ESCAPE IT!"
A voice boomed from the heavens. "Well spoken."
An oppressive force descended from above, striking terror into everyone’s hearts. Leral’s countenance turned ashen, and she frantically attempted to activate a life-saving teleportation artifact.
However, as her hand moved to summon it, a slender, exquisite hand, adorned with long fingers and alluring nails, seized her wrist. Turning her head, her eyes widened with sheer terror.
Yasenia smirked at Leral. "Surrender. I promise to leave at least your corpse whole if you comply."
Leral's gaze faltered, despair washing over her as her body went limp. "...Why?"
The attackers besieging the sect stood utterly bewildered. Was Du Yanyu's accusation truthful? And who was this stunning, crimson-clad dragon woman who had suddenly appeared?
Truth be told, a significant number of them harbored the desire to depart. However, Angel had already established control over the immediate vicinity with her formations, effectively sealing off all avenues of escape via artifacts. The only remaining options were to either engage in combat or flee on foot.
Unfortunately, Yasenia's contingent of three hundred maids had encircled the fifty-odd powerhouses of the Transcendence Realm, rendering any thoughts of escape as mere fantasy.
Upon hearing Leral's inquiry, Yasenia paused in thought before a sudden understanding dawned. "You're perplexed as to why I'm aligning with Kali, given my previous demeanor, aren't you?"
Leral nodded, her expression blank, her will to resist extinguished as she recognized the impossibility of escape this time.
"Since you are fated to perish, I shall indulge your curiosity." Yasenia surveyed her surroundings before executing an elegant bow, which accentuated the deep cleavage revealed by her attire. "I am Yasenia Dravory, Kali Dravory's wife." Straightening, she met Leral's gaze and emitted a sigh. "At the time, I was not privy to the full extent of the situation. Nevertheless, rest assured, the Holy Beast Empire has already been utterly annihilated by my hand."
"W-What is this!?" The assembled powerhouses turned even paler, their minds struggling to process the revelation.
Yasenia extended her hand, and the war banner she had previously planted in a faraway location rapidly tore through the fabric of space, materializing in her grasp as its magnificent cloth rippled softly. She gently stroked the flag and whispered, "You performed admirably. Thank you."
After she had put the banner away, Draheart materialized in her other hand. Her fingers wrapped firmly around the hilt of the imposing greatsword, which radiated a chilling luminescence. Yasenia then scanned the area with an unruffled expression. "Now, cease your struggles. Resistance will only lead to needless torment."
