Heaven, Earth, Me Chapter 1536. Conflicted.
Previously on Heaven, Earth, Me...
During Yasenia's brief clash, the maids carried out their duties effectively. Most remained in the throne room, eliminating every guard who put up resistance. Regrettably, Fa Luo was among those defenders. A man true to his word, this veteran and devoted fighter battled on despite knowing the cause was lost.
Xyrona ended his life without suffering, her sword strike swiftly erasing the man.
The other maids, roughly 250 in number, fanned out across the entire Tao Dynasty, cutting down anyone tied to the crown. Yasenia's command, after all, proved no mere threat.
In the skies above, the Ancestor detected the maids' activities. But before he could intervene, Yasenia's cold voice sounded from behind him. "Old man. I’ve given you a chance, so don’t get distracted. Because, against me, distraction means death. I have spared you once. I won’t do it again. Next time, I’ll decapitate you."
As he whirled around, Ancestor Tao's grim eyes fixed on Yasenia with shock and caution. "You... Aren’t you a Fourth Level Mythical beast? How can you be so strong?"
Yasenia blinked, then furrowed her brow. "What are you getting surprised about? Aren’t you an Ancestor of the Dynasty? Your strength should surpass this Heavenly layer’s limit after releasing some seals or something, right? After all, most of you retreat because you want to break through into the next realm."
Ancestor Tao's heart churned with complex emotions. Yasenia's phrasing rang true, yet it made figures like him seem utterly ordinary.
Though he wouldn't proclaim himself the world's supreme power, Ancestor Tao felt confident no one could best him. In the worst scenario, he'd simply withdraw.
Still, before this captivating Dragon, he sensed a danger unlike any before.
"You are the one who spoke. I didn’t want to break through so early, as I have yet to understand my Intent Domain to Level Six. However, since you want to die so quickly, I’ll kill you before Heaven forcefully ascends me."
BOOM!
His aura burst forth, climbing to the Seventh Level of the Transcendence Realm. Around him, a Fifth Level Intent Domain then spread out. Unlike King Tao's, it shrouded their surroundings in profound darkness.
Yasenia scanned the area and him, flashing a faint smile. "Not bad."
Yasenia unfurled her own Intent Domains next.
Space twisted near her, the very cosmos emerging around her form. Her war and monarch domains' overbearing aura merged with it, seizing control of the entire expanse.
Even as both stood at Level Four Intent Domains, their quality gap resembled the moon compared to its pale reflection in a lake.
Ancestor Tao felt his Intent Domain suppressed, shock gleaming in his eyes. "How...?"
Before he could finish, Yasenia closed in, her fist rocketing toward his face. "I told you, less speaking."
BANG!
Ancestor Tao's face shattered under Yasenia's domineering physical might, hurling him backward in wild spins. Her lips downturned in frustration. "Why is he so brittle? Isn’t he a High-Level Transcendence Realm cultivator?"
Slightly dazed from a punch that could shatter worlds effortlessly, Ancestor Tao reeled. ’What kind of body has this dragon forged!? My bones couldn’t resist a single strike!?’
Aware of his peril, Ancestor Tao amassed huge quantities of Darkness Energy, sprouting massive wings behind him. Drawing a cane sword, he cleaved toward Yasenia's position, unleashing enormous arcs of dark light.
Yasenia crooked her fingers and slashed her hand forward. "[Celestial Dragon Claw]."
The enormous dragon claw, towering over mountains, shredded the incoming strikes as Yasenia surged ahead, reaching Ancestor Tao once more.
The Seventh Level Transcendence Realm powerhouse darted aside, just evading Yasenia’s punch. Yet, having foreseen the evasion, Yasenia's real assault followed via her tail whip.
Mid-evasion, Ancestor Tao couldn't avoid it and took the full force of Yasenia’s mighty tail to his flank. His ribs splintered, organs failed, and his form streaked across the heavens again. "COUGH! Ridiculous monster!"
From the outset, King Tao endured Yasenia’s blows shielded by the Supreme Ranked Killing Formation. Even so, her strikes breached that formidable guard to wound him.
Ancestor Tao enjoyed no such safeguard now. Stronger than King Tao yes—the leap from Sixth to Seventh Level being substantial—it hardly made him vastly superior to the king backed by that array.
Yasenia thus questioned if Ancestor Tao truly qualified as a Seventh Level cultivator. ’Is he too weak, or am I too strong?’
The dragoness instinctively realized her power had undergone a profound transformation. Every boost she gained in Dragon Paradise proved utterly astounding. Yet, she hadn't anticipated reaching such heights that she could effortlessly leap across three stages in the Sixth Realm.
'No way, Ancestor Tao has to be feeble,' Yasenia assured herself inwardly, refocusing her attention on the fight ahead.
Should Ancestor Tao catch wind of her musings, he'd likely perish from sheer indignation.
"I'm finished with you. You're no longer a worthy opponent for training, so I'll end you now."
A chill gripped Ancestor Tao's frame, prompting him to yell desperately. "HEAVEN! Claim me! I wish to Ascend!"
Yasenia's pupils contracted sharply. She halted the summoning of Draheart, opting instead to part her jaws broadly.
Golden chains descended from Heaven, poised to lift Ancestor Tao skyward, when Yasenia bellowed. "[Celestial Dragon Breath]!"
The heavens shifted to a vivid blue, halting everyone in their tracks. Gazes lifted upward, witnessing a tiny speck unleash a blue beam spanning kilometers, ripping through the void to carve a path of utter devastation.
Fortuitously, Yasenia directed it skyward, allowing the Dragon Breath to surge beyond the atmosphere into the cosmos.
From a cosmic vantage, it appeared as though a colossal blue ray had ignited abruptly, with ruinous forces surging past the planet's bounds.
Once the Celestial Dragon Breath subsided, Yasenia ran her tongue over her scorched, crimson lips and scoffed. "Think you can flee from me, my quarry? Even Heaven can't shield you from my gaze."
The golden chains lingered in awkward suspension briefly before withdrawing to their origin. In truth, no trace lingered of the would-be ascender.
Down on the ground, Andrea and the maids stood frozen, staring skyward with quaking souls. The might of that Dragon Breath was overwhelmingly immense. True, dragon maids existed among the three hundred, but even they sensed their breath techniques paled vastly compared to Yasenia's.
Anna and Eve turned to Tatyana, seeking answers in her eyes. "Innate abilities can't improve so dramatically through comprehension alone, especially racial ones."
With a casual shrug, Tatyana clarified. "She dove into a volcano, immersing her lungs, veins, and soul by inhaling its molten magma. This lava harms even Seventh Realm dragons. The results speak for themselves."
Upon hearing this, even the resolute Andrea flinched. Tatyana's casual tone revealed the infernal torment Yasenia endured there.
Returning somewhat let down by the skirmish, Yasenia spotted Andrea's grimace. Fearing an injury, she hurried over, brow furrowed in concern. "What's the matter, Darling? Did you get hurt? Are you alright?"
Watching the bouncy allure approach with anxiety etched on her alluring visage, Andrea swiftly grabbed and downed a Heart Calming pill. 'Those jiggles and her expression pack devastating impact!'
After clearing her throat, Andrea stroked the dragoness and grinned. "I'm fine. I learned of one of your ordeals and felt vicarious agony."
Yasenia's eyes flickered as she beamed, relieved her Darling was unharmed. She enveloped her in an embrace, tail swishing happily. "Hehehe. Thanks for your concern, Darling! No need to fret. Plus, I've crushed the Tao Dynasty, so no more pesky suitors will hover around you."
Andrea's mouth quirked. 'If only she knew about those sect girls...' She grinned and returned the hug to the plush dragoness, the egg nestled between them. Lavishing praise on one's dragon spouse was crucial! Unabashed, Andrea obliged. "En. I know. Thanks, love. I'm thrilled you handled my troubles."
Yasenia's tail swung faster, her face beaming with cocky delight.
"Anyway! Show me your sect next..." Yasenia glanced downward swiftly, noting her pristine white kimono—edged with fur and adorned with floral embroidery—and breathed a sigh of relief. "I neglected to switch to battle attire. Good thing my foes weren't formidable. I adore this dress."
Andrea wholeheartedly concurred that the garment flattered Yasenia's form and allure impeccably. 'Back home, those admirers will finally relent.'
Despite Princess Tao's fate, certain sect women persisted in their pursuits. Males were drawn to Andrea too, naturally. But as she'd claimed a preference for women to simplify matters early on, they backed off.
Thus, Andrea and Yasenia lounged in the throne room, awaiting the maids' completion of the tidying. Tatyana joined them, munching on treats prepared by Yasenia.
"Who's next on your list, Love?"
Yasenia felt a hint of uncertainty at Andrea's unexpected question. She turned to Tatyana, curiosity sparking in her eyes, and asked, "Are any of my darlings in danger like Andrea was?"
With a casual toss, Tatyana popped the crunchy, salty, savory chip into her mouth and chewed it several times. After reviewing each of their predicaments in her mind, a smile curved her lips. "All of them are in some kind of trouble. To get stronger, none of them pulled any punches. So, they offended quite a lot of people."
Yasenia blinked. "Even Baby?"
Tatyana's gaze turned subtly meaningful. "Especially Angel. She is probably the one who has stirred the most trouble."
Catching Tatyana's expression, Yasenia furrowed her brow slightly. "Did something happen to Angel?"
"Hm..." Tatyana mulled over her words carefully. "Not exactly. She just... matured? You will know when you meet her. Still, there is not too much rush."
Gazing at the egg positioned between Andrea and Yasenia, Tatyana smiled warmly. "The most urgent matter is resolved. So, you can linger a little bit more without problems. All of them are currently in the middle of something, so even if you go, you’ll need to wait until they finish."
Yasenia nodded thoughtfully. She faced Andrea and declared, "Since that’s the case, let’s first go to your sect so that we can send our goodbyes. I don’t want to stay here much longer. After all, I am sure that people will come after me for killing King Tao."
Andrea agreed promptly.
