Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System Chapter 482 - New Quest

Previously on Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System...
Noah's intrigue deepened upon hearing the name "The Merchant," a figure from the Universe of Ascendancy whose reputation stems not from personal strength but from vast treasures, loyal subordinates, and powerful allies capable of toppling a Principality without his direct involvement. Light revealed that their own Principality likely provoked the attack by stealing something valuable from the rival universe, fueling Noah's growing frustration and sense of urgency amid the threats to his world. Driven by ambition, Noah declared his intent to claim the role of Principality in the Primus Universe, securing Light's non-opposition and learning that the swiftest path lies in obtaining Authority from the Spirit World's Origin Will.

"The quickest method is to directly secure the Authority from the Origin Will of the Spirit World, the ruler over every Principality."

Noah and his wives squinted their eyes, picturing a force surpassing Principality. The wives struggled to envision it. Noah, however, managed to speculate somehow.

Yet at that moment, an idea sparked in his thoughts.

Folks claimed the Spirit World reached the Divine realm level. But no matter how deeply Noah pondered it, that simply couldn't hold true.

The Spirit World contained not just a single universe, but countless others. Each connected via their Principalities.

How could something so vast remain merely at the Divine realm? Surely a higher realm existed beyond it.

The mystery lingered: what was it?

Noah shook off his head, pushing away those notions, and turned his attention back to Light, who hadn't finished speaking.

"That's the quickest path," Light explained, "yet also the toughest. For starters, my friend, I have no clue how you'd even arrange a meeting with The Will. I'm not claiming it's out of reach, but I've never seen it happen. And I prefer not to trust tales my own eyes haven't confirmed."

"That's rather narrow-minded." Yuki piped up.

"Did someone speak?" Light inquired, glancing about, "Hmm? Nothing? Nobody? Probably just a breeze."

Yuki's veins throbbed visibly. Elira held back a grin, while Noah pretended not to notice a thing.

Light pressed on steadily,

"Moving along, my friend. I mentioned the initial hurdle. As for the next, suppose by some fluke, The Will agrees to see you..."

The Soul Ruler's tone dropped, his gaze sharpening,

"What guarantees IT would grant you Principality status? IT could simply end you instead. That's the far more probable result, to be frank."

"All that turns your so-called quick route into possibly the longest and just as perilous," Noah remarked.

"Exactly, my friend." Light gave a casual shrug, "It's swift only if The Will plays along. You might not realize it, but The Will isn't known for being accommodating, my friend."

"These are pointless concerns." Yuki cut in abruptly once more, drawing stares from everyone. Unfazed, she raised her right hand, extending her index finger toward Noah.

Her gesture seemed to slice through reality itself.

"Noah possesses this troublesome yet entertaining trait of drawing the gaze of mighty

beings." She went on, causing Noah's mouth to twitch and Elira to chuckle,

"He's like a magnet for them."

"Is that accurate?" Light cocked his head, eyeing Noah.

Suddenly, he nodded as if a realization dawned,

"You do give off that vibe." He conceded, "Still, this situation stands apart."

"No worries." Noah replied, rising to his feet at last.

He straightened tall, stretching fiercely until popping noises, resembling branches breaking, echoed across the chamber.

A sigh of comfort escaped him, then he refocused, placing hands at his hips. He lifted his chin, his thoughts wandering various paths.

"I have one final query." Noah stated after a brief pause, "What can you tell me about the original Soul Ruler?"

"Hmm?" Light murmured, "You mean Shadow?"

His wings beat faster still.

"Yes." Noah confirmed, gaze still aimed skyward.

"Shadow remains an enigma." Light dismissed with a shrug, "I suspect no one knows much beyond her being female. And even that's up for debate, my friend. We've never laid eyes on her, after all."

"That said..."

Light abruptly shifted his focus to Elira, prompting the Paragon of Soul to furrow her brow, eyes tightening.

"...I can't explain it, good friend, but she reminds me of Shadow. Once more, no idea why. Yet I sense resemblances."

"Resemblances how?" Elira demanded, her words laced with strain.

"I haven't a clue." Light replied indifferently, tone even, "I only sense you two share a similar aura."

His detached manner and nonchalant posture fueled Elira's urge to tear into him.

Light was aware. And he mocked her outright.

"Is she a threat?" Noah asked, quietly relishing Light's exchanges with his wives, "Greater than yourself, that is?"

"Tough to say. I've never witnessed her in battle. But my gut says she's beyond me."

"My gut agrees." Noah chimed in, then grinned, "Fascinating. Looks like you'll reveal some surprises soon, Elira."

"There's nothing amusing about this, husband." Elira exhaled, "It's unsettling. I remain in the dark while others seem to hold pieces."

"Easy now," Noah murmured, "I trust we'll uncover the truths shortly."

"How so?" Yuki questioned.

"Well, dear friend and wives, the issue with The Merchant has stirred something within me, pushing me toward actions I'd usually avoid."

He declared, his smile widening. The group hung on his words, a growing unease stirring.

"I've been treading too carefully all along. That caution cost me valuable time, which I sadly lack plenty of right now."

"Time to shift gears."

He dropped his gaze back down, locking eyes with Light,

"Tell me," Noah pressed, "Would reducing this entire Principality to ruins suffice to draw The Will's focus to me?"

Utter silence gripped the air.

Light, Yuki, and Elira stood petrified, gaping at Noah like he'd sprouted an extra head.

Before they could shake off their shock, another notification appeared before Noah.

His resolve had been detected.

As the others snapped back to reality, processing Noah's outrageous declaration, the man grinned broadly, a rush of thrill coursing through him like searing lava.

His bloodline emitted a piercing call, more thrilled than its owner.

"Hey! My friend Noah, you're joking, right?" Light blurted quickly. His expression stayed composed, though concern etched his features.

"Joking?" Noah chuckled, "No room for humor now, Light. See, Yuki nailed it. I possess this strange knack for pulling in notice from the mighty."

"But it's not some natural gift of mine." He added, gradually floating up toward the room's roof.

"I'm merely a committed chaos-bringer."

Noah tacked on, then whipped his head to Yuki and Elira.

"Summon the rest." He instructed them, ascending further until he reached the ceiling, his command resounding,

"Warn them things are about to turn chaotic. And the sole secure spot is by my side."

The ceiling split open, as though drawn apart, clearing a path for him. Noah rose onward, ascending like a deity reclaiming his throne, until he hovered above the Principality's cloud-shrouded expanse.

He positioned himself there, shutting his eyes, his features etched with intense concentration,

brain scanning for the optimal path to his objective.

Noah understood that pursuing his plan would summon not just The Will's notice, but its fury. The quest spelled it out clearly...

He had to seize the Principality's authority. For that, Noah already harbored a scheme.

One more aspect demanded consideration. Namely, handling the remaining Soul Rulers amid his mission.

The instant that idea surfaced, Noah sensed a vibration in his mental space.

He recognized it right away.

It was an item he'd overlooked earlier, assuming it vanished upon his prior death.

It was the artifact he'd extracted from Elizabeth Apollonia's core and concealed across layers of reality.

It was Idalia Marigold of Light Torcheur's golden nail.

That nail trembled. And its tremor matched the broadening grin on Noah's face,

"They say Fate rewards the daring."

Noah let out a hearty laugh,

"Is this their proof for me? My daughter works tirelessly. Now I long for them."

He retrieved the nail, enveloping it in his energy moments before it could dart off in a specific bearing.

The bearing pointed to the Dominion of the Shadow of What Was Lost. "One handled, or at least occupied. Light stays with me. Love joins via Mother Maryam and Selene's aid. Now, Solstice remains, eh?"

His eyes arched slyly,

"Very well, let's tackle this quest in that fellow's domain!"
