Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System Chapter 474: Dreamspawn

Previously on Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System...
Asaemon, undeterred by the demons' betrayal, forms the Hell Contract with Lilith's Firstborn, the Hollow of Eden, selling his soul amid a heavy, solemn ritual that severs his ties to his past self. In the Celestial Domain, Apollo's release sparks widespread panic, driving factions to seek refuge under Idalia Marigold or the Light-Touched, while Premier endures endless torture in Sunny World, dying repeatedly without yielding secrets. Rue Octave, reclaiming a powerful Record from Aurelia, unexpectedly develops admiration for the broken Premier, only to be plagued by shifting, hazy memories invoking "Harmony" and a terrifying gaze that leaves him unconscious. Meanwhile, the Light-Touched tasks Soleil with defending against a Dreamspawn breach from the low east, amid veiled warnings about his estranged family.

"The Dreamspawn?" Soleil repeated, his brow furrowing deeply until his features contorted like a crumpled mass of folds. "How could they have breached the universe? They seemed the most improbable to pull it off."

"But they managed it anyway." Law replied. "However, their success came across as far too effortless to have been achieved without outside help."

"Are you suggesting," Soleil responded, "that betrayers lurk within the universe itself?"

"Does that truly shock you? It shouldn't, Bearer of Sun. Considering how even your own mother turned against her brother for greater authority..."

Law curved her lips in a smile, using only her visible eyes to convey it.

"...what could possibly prevent the rest of the universe's inhabitants from following suit? Absolutely nothing, Bearer of Sun. Not a single thing."

Soleil kept his radiant eyes locked on Law without a flicker of emotion.

Throughout this entire gathering, the Light-Touched had relentlessly attempted to pull him from his calm state, aiming to ignite his fury through repeated jabs at his mother.

This felt peculiar.

It wasn't the initial occasion she'd targeted him this way, yet it marked the first instance of such blatant assault.

What had shifted? Soleil pondered silently, holding his external demeanor composed and unwavering amid the chaos stirring inside him.

The response to that query lay plain and evident.

It stemmed from Apollo's release, his uncle's freedom.

'Could Uncle Apollo and the Light-Touched be involved?' He reasoned, though Law's words yanked his focus back to the matter at hand.

"Pay attention now, Bearer of Sun." She instructed. "Betrayers exist right in our midst. Ones who aided those Dreamspawn in slipping into the universe with less resistance."

"Any clues on their identities?" Soleil inquired, choosing to shelve his suspicion for the moment.

"That's no simple issue." Law drummed her fingers steadily against the armrest crafted from pure light. "Accusations can't be thrown lightly. Doing so would just spark further chaos, playing right into the hands of those turncoats. Our divisions run deep already. We mustn't deepen the fractures. That's hardly our aim."

"And it's not exactly your aim either, Bearer of Sun." Law directed her slim index finger toward him.

"Your primary mission remains eliminating those Dreamspawn and safeguarding the universe's lower eastern region. Gathering intel on the betrayers comes second, if at all."

She halted, her gaze piercing into Soleil without wavering.

"Do my instructions ring clear for you, Bearer of Sun?"

"Crystal clear." He gave a straightforward nod.

"Excellent." Law continued. "One more thing: you'll be joining Horus, the Falcon of the Falconer, representing the Divine Beast faction."

Soleil raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Horus? But wasn't he—!"

The rest of his sentence caught in his throat as memories of a fresh incident flooded back.

Law affirmed what raced through his mind.

"With the First Abomination's demise, his pilfered Records of Sky, Kingship, and Vision have been restored. He's reclaimed his strength and yearns above all to restore his former splendor."

Law offered another smile, then paused briefly to allow Soleil to catch up with her rapid words.

"I'm confident he'll prove a solid ally for this mission. Plus, it's an ideal chance to mend ties between us. Even in our isolated ways, now's not the moment for such rifts."

"When do I set out?" Soleil questioned bluntly, eager to leave the space behind.

"The sooner, the better." Law answered. "Truth be told, I insist you leave right away. We can't let conditions worsen further."

"Very well." Soleil murmured. "I'll head out after a quick visit to my realm."

With that resolve, he vanished entirely, no further words exchanged, abandoning Law to sit by herself.

The woman smirked, and then a murmur echoed in her ears, buried deep within her thoughts.

"Are you certain of this choice? Why the sudden openness this time?" The murmur queried. Its tone resembled a scratched recording.

Law merely grinned, shutting her eyes.

"What have I done? Merely conversed with him as one would normally."

"You're venturing too far." The voice warned. "This change in behavior will raise red flags."

"So what?" Law grinned wider. "Let them suspect all they want."

The voice went quiet, then withdrew into the recesses of her consciousness.

...

Returning to Sunny World, Rue gradually stirred back to awareness.

He roused himself in a daze, his frame popping and grinding noisily as he moved.

"What... what in the world occurred?" he rasped out in agony, his throat scratchy and parched, while a fierce pounding hammered at his head.

He let out a pained moan.

Glancing about, Rue Octave took in the ruins of the temporary shelter he'd built, which only deepened his confusion.

He turned his form, his gaze landing on Premier, who continued his endless cycle toward death. Rue's sight dropped lower, catching a runic array shimmering with golden radiance beneath Premier.

Those runes handled both the slaying and the repeated resurrection of Noah's Firstborn without cease.

He hacked up a cough, expelling saliva blended with a golden-hued fluid.

Rue felt utterly bewildered, his thoughts scrambling wildly until the surroundings seemed to spin around him.

Bit by bit, he rose to his feet, cleaning his lips with the back of his palm. Slowly, clarity returned to his mind, the throbbing pain in his head easing off.

With a heavy breath, Rue turned his eyes to the faltering Premier once more, noting how his form grew ever more shattered with each passing second.

He advanced a step closer, driven by an impulse to act. To do something such as...

'Water?' Rue thought to himself. 'Right, he could use some wat—!'

RIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!

Rue recoiled in utter horror as the heavens over Sunny World tore open overhead, shredding like a blood-soaked rag.

The roar echoed like thunder from massive speakers, causing the entire realm to shudder and convulse as if a fragile soul were frozen in Antarctica's icy grip.

At once, the Will of the World roared out in fury and torment,

"WHO DARES!!!!"

Flames burst forth, searing ground ripped asunder, then surged toward the skies.

In a flash, it appeared as though the world met its doom.

That's when Rue's vision caught a detail. And the sight sent his psyche reeling, on the verge of shattering like brittle timber.

There, along the rim of the fractured firmament, entities started cascading downward.

Skin ashen gray, devoid of any face save for their gaping, serrated maws.

Rue had never laid eyes on them personally, but tales had prepared him enough to recognize these creatures as...

"The Dreamspawn!!!" Rue shouted in panic as he toppled backward onto the ground, the soil warping beneath him.

As he fell, his gaze encountered a peculiar figure amid the descending horde of Dreamspawn invading this realm.

There, a woman with silver hair like drifting ash and sly, fox-like traits plummeted alongside the Dreamspawn, shielded as though she were a revered sovereign.

Oddly, the view of her stirred in him the identical emotion that Premier evoked—a profound affection coupled with an intense urge to shield her.

The chaos unfolding as those entities invaded Sunny World transpired at such breakneck speed that Rue scarcely registered it.

The woman's stare locked onto Premier without delay, and upon witnessing his perpetual dying and rebirth, her eyes bulged wide enough to seem ready to pop free.

Next, her irises transformed to solid violet, weaving Dreams and nightmarish illusions that warped the fabric of existence.

Rue trembled uncontrollably.

Her cry thundered across the scene,

"BROTHER!!!!"

Premier's thoughts sharpened into an unnatural focus at the resonance of her call. He raised his bloodied gaze and face skyward right before his impending demise, uttering a few fractured phrases upon beholding his sister descending from the ruptured skies,
