Wizard Vincent learns that Talia's parents, skilled in mechanical magic, have disappeared after working for a royal family's puppet company. The royal family is backed by a powerful hidden wizard organization, making the True Element Society unwilling to intervene. Talia herself has been pursued since leaving her homeland.

Creek City

"Only then did I realize it was not safe at the True Element Society. So, I made a decision to live in another powerful territory," Talia said.

"Then I thought of your name. When the True Element Society was rebuilt after the battle, your fame skyrocketed. Everyone knows about you."

"It became known that you had joined the Mage Union after leaving the True Element Society."

"It also raised the status of the True Element Society. No one dares to offend the organization now," she said.

Hearing that, I nodded to her. The hidden organization might not be afraid of the True Element Society, but they might hesitate against the Mage Union.

Yet still, I’m only one of them. I don’t know whether anyone else joined the Mage Union. I then pushed the thoughts from my mind.

Then I took out a magic pouch and gave it to her.

"Alright, you can rest here. It’s a safe place of mine. If you need anything, just say it out loud," I said to her.

Hearing that, Talia nodded.

Swoosh!

The next second, I vanished from the spot. I appeared next to her, but she could not see me. She could only see the empty space in front of her.

The system had created a wall between us.

I saw her checking the mana pouch. Her eyes widened in disbelief as she took out shiny, palm-sized mana stones.

She had seen these mana stones before, but she didn’t have one. She had only seen them in the hands of powerful wizards.

"Supreme Grade Mana Stones," she uttered in surprise.

She thought of Wizard Vincent, convinced that with his status, he could get these items easily.

It was because she hadn’t sensed his presence earlier, despite him standing in front of her and listening to her the whole time.

It showed how terrifyingly strong Wizard Vincent Carey was.

As I watched her muttering to herself, my mouth curved into an arc. She was a good-hearted woman; it was worth helping her out.

Swoosh!

Then I appeared back in the outside world. I immediately used the space layer. A space rift appeared; I stepped inside and vanished from the spot.

The next moment, the disturbance in the space layer was felt by the Forbidden Wizard and the Magic Lords in the city.

They didn’t try to probe. They knew Magic Lord Vincent was here earlier; maybe it was him. It didn’t take long for City Lord Ben to be alerted.

When he came to check, he didn’t find anyone on the terrace. If Magic Lord Vincent wanted to show his presence, he would have appeared.

Since he was not appearing, City Lord Ben decided not to disturb him. The news about Magic Lord Vincent’s visit was kept a secret.

A few minutes later,

I arrived at a place closer to the border town. I didn’t go back to the magic city. Instead, I took out my device and called Manager Lara.

A holographic image appeared above the device. Manager Lara’s reaction was filled with surprise.

"Vincent, where are you?" Lara asked.

"I heard that you left the crystal city," she added.

I smiled and said, "Yes, I came out of the city to help someone."

"Help someone?" Lara uttered. She grew curious, and it clearly showed on her face.

Hearing that, I looked around me. I made sure to use the system to check if the place was safe.

Once the system confirmed the place was safe, I looked at her and said, "Yes, I’m indeed helping someone."

Then I began telling her the whole story.

A few minutes later,

Lara had a serious look on her face.

"Vincent, listen to me. You have just become a Magic Lord. There are a lot of things you don’t know about, and the hidden wizard organization is one of them," Lara said to me.

I could see the seriousness on her face, but I had already decided to help.

"I rescued Forbidden Wizard Erwin earlier. I don’t think this hidden organization is going to pose a threat to me. Take this as a break."

"I have already done one official mission. I’ve decided to rescue her parents," I said to her.

Lara’s expression shifted dramatically. She thought Vincent Carey was not going to listen to them at all. Once he made up his mind, he would definitely do it.

She knew that Vincent Carey was able to rescue Forbidden Wizard Erwin successfully, and he had also become a Magic Lord.

"Okay. Give me a minute. I’m going to ask Lord Charlotte. She might know about this mine nation and the hidden organization behind it."

"If you get intel beforehand, it will be useful to you," Lara said to me.

Hearing that, I decided to take the opportunity.

"Okay, do it fast," I said to her.

Then I ended the call before appearing inside the Gregor Mansion. I stood in the hall and decided to practice there.

I sat cross-legged on the ground. I took out a few super grade mana stones, held them, and began to run the Gravity Ark Mental Method.

As time went by, the gravity mana began to circulate inside my body. The gravity mana had a dark hue to it.

Magic Lord-level mana flooded my body from the surroundings. I began to guide this mana, and it flowed steadily.

After circulation, the mana entered the mana core space. The mana core space had an uneven rock core in the middle.

The uneven, rock-shaped mana core began to absorb the incoming mana. The steady, dark gray mana disappeared into the uneven rock.

As time passed, I continued to repeat the process.

Meanwhile,

Lara tried to contact Lord Charlotte. At first, the call did not connect. She was getting nervous, afraid that Vincent Carey might leave without getting permission.

If he did, she would face a scolding from Lord Charlotte. Magic Lord Vincent’s identity was different now, even though he was many years younger than her.

She could tell that Vincent Carey had an adventurous spirit. He was getting happier by taking dangerous missions and exploring dangerous places.
