Vincent Carey successfully joins the Mage Union's Outer Hall and receives a special token. He learns about the union's rules and the circles within the Silver Tower. Elder Dana escorts him back, where he learns the elders were aware of his breakthrough and Erwin's escape.

Silver Tower

Elder Dana appreciated me once again before leaving the Silver Tower. She had some other work to do.

Everyone watched her leave. None of us said anything. I should have asked her more about the outer hall and its rules, but I was still digesting the shock.

I still needed time to sort out my thoughts. I couldn’t believe that I had become a member of the Mage Union Outer Hall.

Charlotte’s device buzzed. She took it out and read the messages.

Her expression shifted. She remembered some important work left unfinished; she had stopped halfway before coming here, but now that situation was sorted out.

Charlotte didn’t want to waste time here. She decided to leave as well. She had wanted to meet Forbidden Wizard Erwin, but he was resting now.

She would come back later to see him. Before leaving, she turned toward me and asked, "What are you going to do next?"

"I’m going back to Crystal City. I have a shop and a house there," I replied.

"Yeah, I heard about it. Your new business has been going well. If I have time, I will come and visit you." After saying that, Lord Charlotte exited the Silver Tower.

I nodded to her. Then she returned a couple of seconds later. Seeing that, both Manager Lara and I were taken aback.

"I forgot to tell you something. We all know that when you left Crystal City last time, Forbidden Wizard Remi from the Black Tower paid a visit. Since you were not there, he left without causing a scene."

"Now that you have become an official member, the Black Tower won’t dare to touch you openly. But there are many ways to cause problems for you indirectly. So be careful," Charlotte warned.

"I will be careful." I noted down the information before saying that. I’m no fool. They had caused me this much trouble; how could they forget all of that? If I wasn’t mistaken, they would be even more active right now.

Certainly, they didn’t want me to grow stronger. If they let me go, the fear of revenge would haunt them.

"What are you thinking?" Charlotte asked.

Hearing that, I collected my thoughts and said, "I’m thinking about reopening my shop."

"You can do that. But always be ready for missions. Let your staff handle the business for you," Charlotte advised.

I nodded to her, and she left the Silver Tower.

"When are you going to leave for Crystal City?" Lara asked. It was time for her to ask about it.

"I’m going to rest in the tower for a couple of days. I’m sure the news cannot be hidden. Let the shock settle down first." After saying that, I nodded to her before heading toward my room.

Lara shook her head. She knew the upcoming days wouldn’t be so peaceful.

...

Meanwhile,

The Mage Union added a new member to the Outer Hall. The news was broadcast across the Mage Union Outer Hall, and all existing members received the notification.

This was done so that the Magic Lords could know one another, and to prevent any altercations between wizards in the future.

All the Magic Lords in the wizard towers under the Mage Union read the message sent by the Outer Hall administration. Upon reading it, they were shaken to the core.

They hadn’t expected the Silver Tower to add yet another member to the Outer Hall. Recently, a Magic Lord named Celeste from the Silver Tower had joined.

They hadn’t expected another to appear so quickly. Most of them were outside carrying out missions for the Mage Union, so they were unfamiliar with Magic Lord Vincent Carey.

However, the Magic Lords of the Black Tower, the Green Wind Elemental Tower, and the Red Flame Elemental Tower knew the name well. How could they forget the prodigy of the Silver Tower?

That person had humiliated their towers more than once. They had tried to harm him in many ways, but every attempt had ended in failure.

They had even tried using the influence of people within the Mage Union, but it ended up backfiring on them.

Now, these wizards were beginning to feel a sense of crisis. The prodigy from the Silver Tower had risen from a mere wizard seed to the level of a Magic Lord in a short span of time.

They themselves were over a hundred years old; this meteoric rise was nothing short of shocking. They felt in extreme danger.

Though there were examples of geniuses who had become Magic Lords even faster than Vincent Carey, they felt no threat from them.

They had offended a talent like Vincent Carey, and they did not believe he would forgive them.

The Magic Lords quickly passed the news to their superiors. The Elder-level powerhouses received the report. Not all higher-ups were present in the Wizard Towers; many had left for missions.

Those who were present heard the news, and it gave them a headache.

The Black Tower Elders present called for a faction meeting. They had to make a decision regarding the promotion. If they continued taking action against Vincent Carey, the Mage Union itself would intervene.

Since their target had become an official Mage Union member, any minor move against the young man would carry severe consequences.

On the other hand, the Green Wind Elemental Tower and the Red Flame Elemental Tower called similar meetings.

They had also acted against Vincent Carey and the Crystal City’s Appraisal Shop, and they too feared retaliation from him.

At the same time, the neutral wizard towers received the news as well. For them, it was neither good nor bad. If the Silver Tower grew stronger, it was simply good for the Mage Union as a whole.

However, there were wizard towers that had long wanted to take the Silver Tower’s second-place position.

Towers like the Special Wizard Tower, the Bloodline Tower, and the Transmutation Tower were among the top contenders.

They had always wanted to hold a higher position than the Elemental Towers and the Silver Tower. To them, this news was not welcome at all. The Silver Tower’s strength continued to increase year after year.

The Silver Tower had already added a new member to the Mage Union Outer Hall this year, and no one would be surprised if yet another person from the Silver Tower joined the Outer Hall soon.
