Elder Marveth brought one hundred imprisoned wizards to the hideout but discovered one was missing. He concealed this from Elder Muriel, who also suspected something was amiss but lacked proof. Meanwhile, the protagonist escaped the prison island undetected.

Vast Sea

As time went by,

I didn’t stop in midair. I came across many small islands along the way, but I didn’t stop on any of them.

These islands were still too close to the prison island. If Elder-Level Wizard Muriel wanted to check, she could easily figure out the truth.

She could inspect the surroundings with ease, especially the islands, which she could investigate without much effort.

So, I didn’t take any risks. I continued to fly across the blue skies, avoiding low altitudes so I wouldn’t be spotted by others.

Ten minutes later,

I felt somewhat relieved. I was finally out of the prison island’s perimeter. Even if any threat appeared, I could hide inside the Gregor Mansion.

Just as I continued to fly forward, I came across the first island in this area. I immediately used the system’s power to scan the place.

The system results indicated that the island was completely safe.

After getting confirmation from the system, I paused and decided to take a break on the island.

Swoosh!

I flew toward the island and landed on the shore within a minute. Then, I walked inland.

After finding some shade for cover, I looked around before entering the system space.

I immediately used the system to locate Forbidden Wizard Erwin. Right now, he was sitting cross-legged on the floor.

I saw that Elder Erwin seemed to be focusing on healing his injuries.

"System, what is his current status?" I asked in my mind.

[Ding! Host, the Forbidden Wizard is severely injured.]

[Ding! He requires various healing resources.]

Hearing the system’s voice in my mind, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle. Then, an idea crossed my mind.

I had told the members to collect valuables from the patrolling wizards earlier. I had also taken the storage bracelet from the core member, Richard.

I brought out his storage bracelet and used the system to check its condition. There were no restrictions placed on it.

Next, curious about the resources collected by a core member, I used my mental power to inspect the storage bracelet.

I spread my mental power over the bracelet, and my gaze was immediately drawn to the piles of resources.

They were all 12th-grade resources, along with a few 11th-grade resources. My gaze then fell upon a massive metal box.

The metal box was etched with lines all over. I tried to peer through it and instantly sensed the rich mana contained inside. I used the system to probe the box.

[Ding! 13th-Grade Resources Detected.]

Hearing the system’s voice, my heart stirred. I had hoped for this, but I didn’t expect to find one so soon.

This proved that Wizard Richard truly was a core member of the Covenant. I then took out the 12th-grade healing resources.

These were Forbidden-level healing resources. After gathering them, I headed to the hall and summoned the other members.

Swoosh!

It didn’t take long for the members to appear. Otto, Patrick, Hank, and old man Rock had all arrived.

Lady Caitlin was the last to show up. I instructed them to bring out the captives’ storage bracelets.

Without asking any questions, they took all the storage bracelets collected from the captives and placed them on the desk.

My gaze fell upon more than twenty storage bracelets, belonging to both Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards.

I immediately used the system to scan them. Not all of them contained healing resources.

I also checked to see if there were any Elder-level resources inside, but there were none, even the Forbidden Wizards’ bracelets lacked them.

Such resources were clearly not easy to come by. It further emphasized that Forbidden Wizard Richard’s status was far from ordinary; Elder Marveth must have provided them to him directly.

I then began gathering the Forbidden Wizard-level healing resources, picking out the useful ones among the Magic Lord-level healing supplies as well.

I said, "You guys can keep the rest of the resources. Old man Rock and Lady Caitlin, take the Forbidden Wizards’ bracelets."

"The rest of you can have the Magic Lord-level resources," I added.

Hearing this, everyone was astonished. They hadn’t expected to keep these resources for themselves and were overjoyed.

"Master, what about you?" Otto asked.

"I have my own resources. Don’t worry about it," I replied.

"So, what happened out there?" Lady Caitlin asked.

She wanted to know what had occurred outside. At her words, the others turned to look at me as well.

I smiled and said, "I rescued Forbidden Wizard Erwin and successfully left the prison island. Right now, I’m taking a break on an uninhabited island in the middle of the sea."

Gasp!

The members gasped in sheer surprise, exchanging stunned looks. They couldn’t believe their ears.

"Master, how did you do it?" Patrick asked.

"It wasn’t easy. I escaped the senses of an Elder-level Wizard by a hair’s breadth," I replied.

Hank was deeply shaken.

Old man Rock was taken aback as well, struggling to digest the information; it was a massive shock to him.

Lady Caitlin froze, momentarily forgetting to react. The news was simply too overwhelming to process, yet she knew Master Vincent wouldn’t lie.

As a Magic Lord, she would easily perish against a Forbidden Wizard, so she hadn’t even dared to contemplate an Elder-level Wizard.

It was beyond her comprehension that Master Vincent had managed to rescue an imprisoned wizard right under the nose of an Elder-level powerhouse.

"Alright, take care, everyone. If you’d like some fresh air, I’ll let you outside," I told them.

Everyone agreed. I brought them out onto the island one by one, instructing them not to wander off and to gather at the exact same spot when it was time to return.

I wasn’t planning on staying long, this was merely a temporary stop. The members then dispersed across the island to explore.

Next, I returned to the system space. I took out one of the storage bracelets containing the healing resources I had gathered earlier.

Then, I quietly placed the storage bracelet behind his back without disturbing him.
