Vincent Carey, having sought revenge on Darkmoon City, is now being followed by unknown parties. He evades his pursuers and enlists Otto to secure an airship ticket while his zero puppet neutralizes potential threats. Vincent suspects a Forbidden Wizard or Magic Lord might be after him.

Magic City - Airship Station

I heard the report from the zero puppet. It had collected the valuables as well. I decided to look at them later, so I put the zero puppet inside the system space.

Next, I headed to the station. It didn’t take long for me to reach their office. The guards hesitated to look toward me.

They felt pressure from me. I nodded to them and showed them my ticket. Upon seeing the ticket, the guards sighed in relief.

Then they opened the gate and allowed me to enter. One of them started leading me towards the airship.

I followed the person while observing the station. Then I came to a wide-open field. It spanned across acres. There were airships of different sizes parked on the ground.

My gaze swept across them. A few of them were loading goods and allowing people to enter, but the guard was heading towards the first airship.

It was a medium-sized airship. There were only people standing on the deck. After arriving at the place, the guard spoke to the manager there.

The manager was an old man dressed in a tuxedo. He reviewed the tickets before allowing me to go inside.

I nodded to him before stepping onto the deck. I came across other passengers. They all had decent strength, but none of them were Supremes.

It was one of the reasons why the manager was polite, the old man was a Supreme Wizard himself.

Right then, the captain started operating the airship.

I began to look around the place. The passengers were checking out the area as well. Some were in groups, while others were alone in the cabin.

Buzz!

The airship rose from the ground. The passengers were excited. Even though everyone could use their flight ability, they had no choice but to use this mode of transport because of the restrictions.

Slowly, the airship turned around. It started moving towards its destination. I stood on the deck and looked down below.

I was sure the spies were all looking out for me down there.

I shook my head before heading into the cabin. I saw there were passengers inside as well. My gaze passed over them.

I saw an empty window seat in the third row. I walked up to the spot and sat down in the window seat. There were two people opposite me and one sitting next to me.

They were all Level-7 to Level-8 Wizards. My appearance drew their attention, especially when they saw my mask.

But they didn’t try to probe. It was because they could already feel an unknown pressure radiating from me. It didn’t take long for them to become uncomfortable.

One after another, they stood up and left the area. The whole third row became empty. I ignored them and began to watch the scenery outside through the window.

The medium-sized airship was now heading towards the border. But there were many satellite cities in between, and the airship was not going to stop anywhere.

After the airship left the Magic City border, I decided to release the zero puppet. I left the cabin and went to an isolated spot before bringing it out.

The zero puppet hovered around me in its red smoke form. I told the zero puppet to collect information from the people on the deck.

Apart from the old manager, there were no other strong wizards. It was really surprising. At least one protector with the strength of a Magic Lord should have been on the ship.

The zero puppet obeyed and left the area. Then I walked out and returned to my window seat in the cabin.

Time passed.

The zero puppet was overhearing the conversations of the people. They were from wizard families, while some worked for business organizations.

However, none of them were from forces connected to the Magic Tower. It didn’t take long for the zero puppet to return.

The puppet next began to collect information from the people inside the cabin. The puppet was gathering all information, including the passengers’ comments about the master.

...

Meanwhile,

The spies were still looking for Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey in the Magic City, but they had not found a clue so far.

Some of them had returned to the Magic Towers, while others were still in the Magic City. In the Black Tower, the four Supreme Wizards were constantly getting updates.

When they heard their men had lost the trail of Vincent Carey, they were not surprised. In their opinion, a Magic Tower Wizard should possess that level of strength.

Still, they couldn’t give up. They needed to get information from him.

If they lost him, they could only resort to going after the Covenant Member to collect intel.

It could lead them to lose even more resources.

On the other hand, the Green Wind Magic Tower and the Red Flame Magic Tower were not quiet either. Interested parties had sent their spies after Vincent Carey.

However, they had found nothing either. They had expected Vincent Carey to return to the Silver Tower.

As per their intel, Vincent had arrived by aircraft, so they were keeping watch on the Silver Tower.

At the same time, the two unconscious spies near the airship station woke up. They were shocked by their situation.

They didn’t know how they had ended up there. When they tried to use their devices, they found out that their devices were gone.

They had been looted from them. They looked at each other and decided to find a safe place first before reporting to their higher-ups.

....

Silver Tower

Manager Lara was not asleep. After finishing her work, she checked the surroundings and found out that there were people keeping an eye on the Silver Tower.

They were the usual spies from other Magic Towers. She ignored them. Since they were still here, she assumed Vincent Carey had managed to shake them off.

She felt relieved in her heart, then forwarded the update to Lord Charlotte.

....

Time passed.

The airship was crossing the satellite cities one after another. The speed of the airship was not slow, and it was expected to reach the border in a couple of hours.

By this time, the zero puppet had collected the information. It returned to its master.
