Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 2053: Part 3: The Covenant Unmasked
Previously on Gravity Mage with Level-Up System...
Outside the city gate
The Zero Puppet in red smoke form locked onto the Evil Supreme Wizard. The Evil Supreme Wizard had no clue; he thought he was being targeted by someone unknown.
He thought of using the same magic scroll attack to cause disruption. But before he could move his hand, he felt something appear before him.
Thud!
The next second, he was knocked down to the ground. The Zero Puppet then dragged his body somewhere else.
The Zero Puppet planned to hide him somewhere. It might take a long time for him to wake up.
Swoosh!
The Zero Puppet then went to the city gate.
Meanwhile,
City Lord Robert gathered a few wizards from the wizard families and began to look for the criminal. They were searching every nook and corner of the city.
The Covenant Wizards had gathered in one place. Amaira was there as well. They were discussing the current situation.
The location was a forgotten underground chamber. It was once a cellar used by a wine shop. They had found this place during one of their raids.
The Senior Wizard said, "The situation is confusing right now. I want everyone to share what they did during their independent actions."
Hearing that, the wizards hesitated. Though they were from the Covenant, they had taken individual actions that could have escalated the current situation.
Amaira was among them as well. She knew that the magic spell of the Senior Wizard was powerful, though it was slightly related to unique magic.
He could tell whether a person was telling the truth or not. Everyone began to share their activities during their independent actions.
As time passed, the Senior Wizard, Amaira, and the other wizards listened to each person’s confession.
It didn’t take long for everyone to share the shocking details. Whenever someone tried to hide details, the Senior Wizard found out using his magic spell and exposed them on the spot.
After that, no one tried to hide information.
Everyone spilled the beans. Each and every piece of information was shocking to everyone. They didn’t expect everyone to be involved in loot and plunder.
Almost everyone had ransacked a random shop and plundered its wealth.
When it was time for Amaira, she didn’t hide anything and told them everything.
"I used the spell on the City Guard Captain. He was completely influenced. He killed a couple of people in the workshop and left behind the marker," she said to them.
Gasp!
A low gasp occurred in the room. They didn’t expect Amaira to use a blade to achieve her goals.
No one doubted her because everyone had seen the breaking news.
Even the Senior Wizard among them was shocked. He had thought Amaira was not as ambitious as the others, but he was taken aback as well.
Then everyone turned toward the Senior Wizard. He had heard the truth from the others, and Amaira had shared hers as well. She looked toward the Senior Wizard.
She wanted to know what the Senior Wizard had done.
The Senior Wizard smiled and said, "I targeted three wizard families. I wanted to know whether they had a Magic Lord behind them."
"But their family ancestors were long since dead. The families have their graves in their backyards. I looted those three corpses. They will be useful for our puppet magic," he added.
Hearing that, everyone swallowed their saliva in fear. Even Amaira was shocked. She had thought she had done a big thing, but the Senior Wizard had quietly plundered the corpses of Magic Lords.
"We have done enough damage to the city. It’s time for us to leave," the Senior Wizard said.
Hearing that, everyone agreed, but there was one person missing.
"Tim is not here," one of them pointed out.
The Senior Wizard said, "We knew almost everything, but we didn’t know about the killings that happened at the workshop. The City Lord found the place, and it doesn’t have a marker."
"It means that Tim killed those people in the workshop," he added.
He had figured out this matter during the discussion earlier.
"Yes, we know everything except the actions of Tim. The City Lord must have seen him. Otherwise, he wouldn’t give a matching description," Amaira said to them.
Hearing that, the others agreed as well. Then everyone made the decision to leave the city. One by one, they exited the cellar.
The Senior Wizard advised them not to delay any further. If they wanted, they could use spell power to escape.
Swoosh!
One by one, the dark figures left the place. They were using the narrow alleys to escape. If they used the main road and busy places, they would be easily exposed.
Meanwhile,
The City Lord and others were already at the city gate. They learned from the guards what had happened there.
An evil wizard had attacked them with pressure before escaping from the place. City Lord Robert was taken aback. He thought the Evil Supreme Wizard must have been hiding earlier.
He had used the opportunity to escape from the place.
City Lord Robert’s face turned grim. He should have secured the city gate first, but he had underestimated the Evil Supreme Wizard.
He was so focused on burning buildings and saving people earlier. The wizards from other families were there as well, but their expressions were bad as well.
They didn’t expect the enemy to escape. The news reached the ears of the media as well.
They reported that the enemy Evil Wizard had escaped from the city. The news anchors reported it as breaking news. It didn’t take long for the whole city to learn the news.
Meanwhile,
I was in the auction house. The Zero Puppet was standing in front of me. The members were gone with the Manager to help the people.
I learned from the Zero Puppet that the Evil Supreme Wizard was captured. He was unconscious right now. It was best to catch him before he woke up.
I took the device and called Otto. When the call connected, I told the members to leave the city and meet me outside the city gate.
The members were all taken aback, but then they all agreed. I ended the call and put away the device.
"Come with me," I said to the Zero Puppet.
