The protagonist learns that the wizard groups are merely a front for a larger organization called Covenant. After gathering information, he and his companions, including Otto, Patrick, Hank, and Rock, enter Rockwell City. Their entry is immediately met with suspicion by the city guard captain, who demands the protagonist remove his mask. When the protagonist refuses, a confrontation ensues, escalating to the protagonist using his power to incapacitate the captain and guards.

Rockwell City

The Captain felt the terrifying pressure. If the pressure continued, he might lose face. Next, the old man made a crazy decision.

He decided to cast a magic spell. Looking at the masked man, his face revealed a killing intent.

[Ding! A killing intent was detected.]

I heard the system voice in my mind. I punched forward the next second. My fist snapped out before striking the face of the old man.

The power behind the attack was immense.

Boom!

The old man’s body flew backward before collapsing onto the ground. The guards were already down.

This fight had caused a commotion. More and more guards appeared from inside. Upon seeing the state of the Captain and the guards, they were shocked to the core.

They turned towards the wizards. But before they could do anything, the old man Rock stepped forward and released some pressure.

Boom!

A powerful coercion released from his body. In the blink of an eye, the pressure was applied to the guards.

The guards were taken aback. They were struck by the pressure, and their bodies rocketed backward before hitting the gate.

One by one, they landed on the ground. The newly arrived team collapsed under the pressure of the Magic Lord.

Alarm!

I don’t know what happened, but someone pressed the alarm button in the office. The alarm sounded across the city.

It reached the ears of the locals and others. The alarm sound especially reached the ears of the City Lord and the officials.

A few minutes earlier,

In the City Lord’s office, a black-haired old man sat in the main chair. He looked simple. He was dressed in a black magic robe.

Not a single trace of mana leaked from his body. His name was Robert. He was a Magic Lord. Right now, he was taking a nap.

When the alarm sounded, he opened his eyes. At first, his eyes flashed with surprise. He thought he heard something wrong.

But his mind and ears became clear. He understood that the alarm was turned on. The sound echoed throughout the city.

It meant someone was attacking the city right now.

Robert stood up from his seat in disbelief.

"Who has the audacity to attack the city?" he asked himself.

Next, he recalled the current situation of the Mage Union. His eyes flashed with a cold glint.

Swoosh!

Next, he left the office room before any official could seek him.

He appeared in mid-air and started going towards the city gate. He quickly reached the city gate and saw the situation there.

The guards and the Captain were knocked down.

Robert was angry. His anger shot through the roof.

But when his gaze fell on the masked man and the people behind him, his eyes paused for a moment. This was because he didn’t expect to see four Supreme Wizards and one Magic Lord.

"No wonder everyone is down," he said in his heart.

Swoosh!

Next, he appeared before the masked man.

Because the masked man seemed to be the leader.

"Who are you?"

"Why did you attack my men?" Robert asked.

His rational thought kicked in, so he didn’t start the fight right away.

Hearing that, my eyes flashed with relief. I saw through his strength. He was a Magic Lord. He had to be the City Lord.

"Finally, someone with a brain has come," I thought.

Next, I took out the ID card and gave it to the person.

Robert was surprised. He was calm and accepted the ID card. He then read the information. He understood something.

He raised his head and looked at the masked man and the people behind him. Robert recognized these people.

He had heard about the Appraisal Shop in Crystal City. He knew that Crystal City was owned by the Silver Tower.

"Appraiser Frank, I have heard a lot about you. Welcome to our city. I wonder what happened here," Robert asked.

Hearing that, I smiled and began to tell him everything.

10 minutes later,

The old man Captain and the other guards stood up from the ground. They thought the City Lord would help them. But something else happened.

Robert touched his hand to his forehead. Because of the ongoing situation, he had made the inspection strict.

But he didn’t expect the Captain to fail to recognize such an important person. He summoned the Captain.

When the old man came to him, Robert didn’t attack him. Instead, he explained the identity and made him apologize to the masked man and others.

The old man felt extremely humiliated. He had never faced such humiliation before. He totally lost face in front of the guards. It made him hate the visitors even more.

After the problem was solved, we were allowed to enter the city. Robert apologized once again before leaving. If not for the identity of the Silver Tower, he wouldn’t have taken such an extreme step.

I led the members to a good hotel. We found a hotel soon. We booked a premium suite next and began to stay there.

Here, the old man was enraged. He developed a new hatred towards the City Lord Robert. He had never been scolded before.

Just because of a Silver Tower person, he was scolded. He spent the whole day in silence.

Time passed.

None of the guards went to see him. They were afraid that the Captain would take his anger out on them.

That night, the old man left the office after doing his duty. He headed towards his home, which was located far away from the city gate.

The old man was not at peace. He was thinking about revenge. But his revenge had no power.

He knew the identity of the visitors. He didn’t expect them to be related to the Silver Tower.

He understood why City Lord Robert didn’t say anything. The City Lord might not want to offend the Silver Tower.

It was the same for him. If he offended the Silver Tower, then his fate would be worse than death.

Just then, he saw someone blocking the path ahead. He was the Captain of the city guards, so he knew most of the Supreme Wizards in the city.

He felt a stronger presence from the place ahead.
