City Lord Elena advised Appraiser Frank to leave the city due to potential trouble from Wizard Matteo. Frank agreed to leave that night. Meanwhile, Matteo, after seeing Magic Lord Lisa and Supreme Wizard Rebecca depart, re-entered the city and instructed the guards to prevent Frank's team from leaving.

Blue Drop Hotel

Nighttime,

We left the hotel after checking out. We approached the cabs. After talking to the driver, we entered the cab. The cab driver agreed to take us to the city gate.

Swoosh!

The car departed from the place a few minutes later. In the cab, I was watching the passing scenes through the window.

I’m sure Wizard Matteo must have done something. I don’t know whether it’s going to be easy to leave the city.

If I wanted, I could have used Gregor Mansion to hide the members, and then I would leave the city by using other opportunities.

But I wanted to see what Wizard Matteo is going to do. At the same time, I don’t want to expose my strength.

According to them, I’m Appraiser Frank. I should act that way. I don’t know why Magic Lord Lisa left without meeting me.

It could be possible that that person might be waiting outside.

20 minutes later,

The two cabs reached the city gate. They landed in front of the gate one by one. Then I stepped out and paid the fare to the driver.

So did the others. They paid their fare. Then I turned towards the gate. I immediately noticed something was wrong.

The guards were looking at us. Especially, they were looking toward me. I knew something was up. The situation was noticed by other members as well.

They quietly followed me. We walked up to the gate. The captain exited the office and came to block our path.

He is a Level-9 Wizard. My mouth curved into an arc.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"You guys are not allowed to leave the city. We are suspicious of your identity," the captain said.

Hearing that, I replied, "I just met City Lord Elena. Should I call her?"

The captain was shocked. But he had expected the answer. He then looked around for support.

He was looking for Supreme Wizard Matteo. He then saw him and his friends standing near the administration building.

Matteo smiled and started walking forward. His friends began to follow him from behind.

Seeing that, the captain heaved a sigh of relief.

On the other hand, I followed his gaze. Then I saw Wizard Matteo and the others.

A look of understanding dawned on me. No wonder the captain was not afraid.

Otto, Patrick, Hank, and the old man Rock were standing behind me.

It didn’t take long for Wizard Matteo to appear in front of me.

"Appraiser Frank, you cannot leave the city without revealing the intel," Matteo said with a smile.

He was confident that Appraiser Frank stood no chance. The members behind Wizard Matteo were worried. They showed clueless expressions.

"Wizard Matteo, you are crossing the red line. I have already called for help from the Silver Tower. They will be here soon," I said to him.

Hearing that, Matteo’s eyes flickered. He didn’t doubt the words. But he made up his mind to ignore the consequences.

Because he too had called for help to confront the Magic Lord on the enemy side.

"Appraiser Frank," Matteo uttered.

"You cannot stop us," he added.

Hearing that, I ignored him and tried to walk past him. The faces of Matteo and the others changed drastically.

They appeared before me and blocked the path.

I didn’t want to use force here. Because the guards and others were here. I don’t know why City Lord Elena was not here.

For some reason, I think she made the right decision. If she were here, she would have supported the person.

Matteo too guessed something. There was a reason.

"If you are waiting for the City Lord to come here, then you are wrong," Matteo said with a chuckle.

My eyes flickered. I was right. He had done everything to block us here.

Otto and Patrick exchanged looks. Before coming here, they were warned by Master to stay silent. He would handle everything here.

Hank and old man Rock stood quietly.

On the other hand, I noticed the expression on Matteo. The City Lord may not be the reason. We have a Magic Lord here.

If I’m not wrong, then he must have called for backup as well.

Swoosh!

Right then, someone appeared closer to us. The person was none other than City Lord Elena. I didn’t expect her to come so quickly.

Elena didn’t want to come here. But she was afraid of the conflict.

Matteo raised his eyebrows. He had thought she would confine herself inside the City Lord’s office.

Elena saw both sides. She knew what was going on. Her gaze turned toward the captain and the guards. They were terrified right now.

"Open the gate," she told the captain.

Hearing that, the captain was scared. He looked toward Wizard Matteo.

"City Lord Elena, why are you threatening the poor captain and the guards?" After saying that, Matteo walked up to her.

He could tell that Elena was trying to help them. But he was not going to let that happen until help arrived.

Elena said, "I’m the City Lord. They are from the Magic Tower as well. If Supreme Wizard Vincent learned about it, he might cause problems."

"As the City Lord, I can’t let something bad happen to the city," she added.

"Who?"

"Supreme Wizard Vincent. He is nobody. There is no need to be afraid of him. We have the Water Magic Tower and Wizard Families behind us."

"City Lord Elena, it’s best for you not to get involved," Matteo gave a direct threat to her.

Hearing that, Elena gritted her teeth.

"City Lord Elena, you can go back. I have already called for help. There will be no fight inside the city," I said to her.

Elena heard that. She was unwilling. But she nodded her head and left the place. She couldn’t cowardly stay back earlier. That’s why she had appeared.

Next, she left the place. The captain and the guards sighed in relief. Their gamble worked. But once Wizard Matteo leaves the city with his team, then their jobs could be gone.

Swoosh!

The next second, I disappeared from the spot and appeared in front of the gate instantly. Seeing that, the others followed me.
