Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 2011: Event ended

Room
Time passed.
After the break, I helped other customers. But I was more interested in speaking to the Magic Lord. It didn’t take long for the last person to leave.
But I knew there was one more person. I decided to be casual. I leaned back against the chair and closed my eyes.
A few seconds later,
An old man entered the room. Hearing footsteps, I raised my head and saw the old man.
The old man was the Magic Lord. I used the system to check his strength again. After confirming that he was indeed the Magic Lord,
I stood up and greeted him.
"I didn’t expect the Magic Lord to come here. Elder, please take your seat," I said to the old man.
The old man was taken aback. He didn’t expect such a greeting from Appraiser Frank.
He sat on the chair. The old man then looked toward the masked man.
I sat back in my seat and looked toward the old man.
"How can I help you?" I asked him.
The old man then smiled and took something out of his storage bracelet. It was a blue-colored bead.
A hint of surprise appeared in my eyes.
The bead may have looked like the beads of the zero puppet. But this blue-colored bead was huge in size. It matched the size of a fist.
So it wasn’t a living core artifact. But still, I decided to observe it more.
The old man continued to look toward the masked man. He had heard of Appraiser Frank. Despite his background, he had come here to seek help.
Seeing that the masked man’s eyes were fixed on the blue bead, his eyes gleamed with a twinkle.
On the other hand, I couldn’t find anything with my own eyes. I used the system’s probe function.
[Ding! It’s a Grade-11 Magic Artifact used in Magic Formations.]
I heard the system’s voice in my mind. My heart was stirred. It was rare to see items related to Magic Formations.
Then I looked toward the old man. I saw he was looking at me. But his eyes showed he wanted an answer as well.
"Don’t tell me he is testing my abilities," I said in my heart.
I frowned and leaned back. I looked at the blue bead and turned toward the old man.
"It’s a Magic Artifact used in a magic formation. It’s not that antique. Anyone can recognize it. I don’t know why you have shown me this item," I said to the old man.
Hearing that, the old man’s expression became serious. He didn’t expect Appraiser Frank to recognize it.
He then said, "I apologize. But I wanted to know whether it’s working or not."
My gaze then fell on the bead. I used the system again.
[Ding! The blue bead is devoid of mana. It needs a highly skilled wizard to control it.]
I heard the system’s voice in my mind. My gaze then turned toward the old man.
"It’s empty. There is no energy in it," I replied.
The old man understood. He had wanted to know this answer.
He then said, "Thanks for the appraisal. Take these 100 Super-grade mana stones."
After saying that, the old man took the blue bead and left the room. He was in a hurry. He didn’t even wait. He was also the last person.
With his departure, the event came to an end. Then I took the device, called Otto, and told him to gather everyone and come to my room.
10 minutes later,
Otto, Patrick, Hank, and old man Rock were standing in front of me.
"The last person was the Magic Lord. He seems to be passing by. He wanted to verify a magic artifact with him," I said to them.
Sigh!
Hearing that, they sighed in relief. They were worried that the last person had come to cause trouble.
Now that they heard the person was just another customer, they relaxed.
"Okay. Let’s go back. I’m tired," I said to them.
They heard it and decided to leave as well. They opened the door and left the place.
Next, a red smoke entered the room. I told the puppet to come back to the hotel. There was no need to collect intel here.
20 minutes later,
We returned to the hotel. An hour was left before sunrise. Soon, we reached our room. After entering inside, everyone went back to their rooms.
Shortly afterwards,
The red smoke entered my room. When the zero puppet reverted back to its original size, I put the zero puppet inside the Gregor Mansion.
Then I went to lie down. I looked at the ceiling fan. I had thought something would happen at the event. But the event went well beyond my expectations.
I had earned resources as well. The last old man gave me the super-grade mana stones. I decided to give the earnings to the members tomorrow.
It will help them. There are also two monsters in the Gregor Mansion. I have to look after them as well.
Slowly, I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
The next morning,
I woke up close to noon. After getting out of bed, I began my routine. It continued for an hour.
Then I picked up my device casually to check it. I found many missed calls on it. They were from Manager Lara and a few calls were from Lord Charlotte.
I called back Lord Charlotte first. But the call did not connect.
Then I tried a few more times. But the attempts failed.
I decided to call Lara this time. She answered the call on the first try.
"Manager Lara, why are there so many calls?" I asked.
"Well, Lord Charlotte was here in the tower an hour ago. She tried to call you. But you didn’t answer. She wanted to know an update," Lara said.
Hearing that, my eyes flashed with understanding.
"So far, it’s nothing," I replied.
I hid the matter of the corpse collection by the wizard named Alaric. I thought it was too early to share. I needed more evidence.
"Hmmm. I heard you held a special event for your customers," she said.
Hearing that, I was surprised. I didn’t expect her to find out.
