The protagonist gains a significant power-up from a hidden relic in the deep sea. After a week of uneventful travel through safe waters, the Montex Ship finally reaches a new shore. Disguising himself, the protagonist steps onto the land, ready to explore this unknown territory, but is immediately met by powerful guards.

Skycrest

The black-armored wizards continued to inspect everyone. So far, none of them had any problems with their identities. They had come from the seafaring nations.

The black-armored wizards here had knowledge about it. My eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I looked around and found that Guardian Gary was among the crowd.

He was leading the wizards who had traveled on the ship. It appeared he won’t leave without letting them inside the country.

I didn’t expect him to appear here. I had thought the wizards would come, while Guardian Gary would stay back on the ship.

But I was wrong in the end. My mask would attract attention, so I removed it. There were wizards with different attire as well.

There was also a group of people wearing half-face masks. They were from a certain force, so my face mask didn’t attract attention.

Time passed.

It didn’t take long for their turn to come. Guardian Gary led the others. The black-clad armored wizards saw the strength of the person.

They discussed, knowing that they were from the Blue Pearl Nation. They checked their IDs before allowing them to cross.

Everyone had heard of the Blue Pearl Nation, because trade ships traveled from both sides as well.

When the group left the place, the others went through the inspection. My turn came as well.

"Name?"

"Affiliation?" the black-clad wizard asked.

"Frank, Blue Pearl Nation," I replied.

Hearing that, the armored wizard asked for an ID. I didn’t have one, but I had a special badge given to me by Sam Patrick.

So, I showed that badge to the person. The black-clad wizard saw the badge and recognized it. It had the emblem of the Blue Pearl Nation, and the badge belonged to a wizard family.

The badge looked royal. No ordinary person could afford it. The black-armored wizard had seen such badges before.

He noted down the information and allowed me to pass through.

The next second, I crossed the post. When I walked a further distance, the scenes in front of me left me speechless.

I was seeing flying monsters in the sky and on the ground. They had back saddles, and someone was riding them. I had expected to see some advanced technologies.

For example, new flying cars and space magic. But I didn’t expect to see these monsters. The monsters’ frames reminded me of fierce crocodile monsters.

But crocodile monsters don’t fly. I realized it must be a monster I didn’t know about.

I walked further, and then I got closer to a wider view. Now I was seeing monster carriages and flying cars.

But my gaze was fixed on the flying, croc-like monsters.

"Are you new here?" The next second, I heard a voice from behind.

I turned around and saw a slightly obese, middle-aged man.

"Hello," I replied.

"Hello, my name is David. I’m a Rank-10 Armored Wizard," David introduced himself.

"I’m Frank. A Rank-10 Wizard as well," I replied.

I understood they referred to the various wizard levels by ranks. He addressed himself as an Armored Wizard as well. I saw his status on the system panel.

It showed he was a body-type wizard. They addressed themselves like that.

"I can tell you are not from here by the way you are looking at the skycrock," David said.

"Skycrock?" I uttered in surprise.

I was right. The monster had something to do with the crocodile monster.

David saw Frank’s surprised expression.

"Ha... Ha... Ha..." He let out a laugh.

"I know what you are confused about. It may look similar to a crocodile monster. Am I right?" he asked.

Hearing that, I collected my thoughts and looked at him.

"Yes, do you know what’s going on here?" I asked him.

"I will tell you about the place if you agree to travel in my carriage," David said.

Hearing that, I was taken aback. I didn’t expect Supreme Wizards to use their own carriages.

I swept my gaze across the others. They were more or less Supreme Wizards. It was enough to tell that the current place was not ordinary.

"Okay," I agreed.

I was eager to learn about the place from David.

"Let’s go," David said with a smile.

Then I entered the monster carriage. My gaze fell on the monster. This skycrock had a crocodile-like frame with four legs and two wings.

David sat down to operate the carriage. I had thought others would come along.

Swoosh!

The next second, we departed from the place. The skycrock was powerful. It quickly ascended into the sky and started heading toward the destination.

My gaze fell on the other flying monsters in the sky. Each of them looked different and had different colors. Some of them had horns on their backs and heads.

Those were not seen on crocodiles. My gaze then fell on David.

"David, can you tell me about the place now?" I asked.

David smiled and said, "We are in the Skycrest Kingdom. This place used to be the habitat of powerful bloodline monsters."

"Among them was a 13th Order Sky Crocodile. It later died during a breakthrough, but it left behind descendants."

"After the passage of time, the number of sky crocodiles increased in population, but their bloodline power reduced."

"Later, the first emperor of the Skycrest Nation cleared out the place and occupied it. The kingdom was formed here in the name of Skycrest."

"Eventually, the roaming wild skycrocks were tamed. Then, a system was developed to use them in battle and transport services."

"It saved the wealth of the nation. Now, their population is totally controlled by the kingdom. You cannot find them in other kingdoms."

"Those who try to smuggle them are brutally cracked down upon and killed. So, you can only find such monsters in our kingdom," David said.

Hearing that, a look of understanding dawned on me. It’s not like I didn’t know about kingdom ruling. Back then, the neighboring country next to my home had a similar royal class ruling.

But that kingdom was a small piece of land compared to this place. A few monsters from here could overturn that land, so the difference was huge.
