The ship encountered attacks from a 12th Order Octopus and lower-order shark monsters, defended by a blue layer. Once the octopus retreated, the passengers repelled the sharks. However, the ship then faced a massive wave from a 12th Order Sea Shark, which Old Man Gary deflected using his coercion. The shark retreated, and Gary then guarded the ship from below throughout the night.

Montex Ship

As daylight arrived, the Forbidden Wizard Gary retreated to his chambers, mirroring the actions of the other passengers who also sought the privacy of their rooms.

No one anticipated a recurrence of the previous night's assault. Consequently, I remained alone on the deck, gazing out at the expansive sea from the ship's edge.

After a night spent in vigilant self-defense, the others desired to recuperate.

However, a persistent sense of unease lingered within me, compelling me to continue my watch over the waters. Before long, a potent wave of mental energy washed over me.

I recognized it as belonging to the elder Gary. My heart leaped, surprised by his actions.

It seemed Gary harbored similar suspicions, as he had not abandoned his scrutiny. With this in mind, I kept my gaze fixed on the sea below.

Time marched on.

The ship continued its journey. Abruptly, I sensed an approaching presence from behind. Whipping around, I hurried to the opposite side of the deck.

Upon reaching the other edge, I discerned a colossal shadow lurking beneath the ocean's surface, though it remained distant from the immediate vicinity.

This distance prevented its oppressive aura from being widely felt. Should it draw nearer, the ship would undoubtedly face repercussions.

[Ding! A 12th Order Sea Monster is going to attack.]

The system's voice echoed in my consciousness. A serious glint appeared in my eyes.

I wondered about Elder Gary's awareness of this development. Surely, he must have sensed the impending threat. Could he possibly permit the ship to bear the brunt of this attack?

I hesitated, contemplating Gary's intended response. It was far too soon to reveal my full capabilities.

Meanwhile, within his room, Elder Gary observed the masked individual's movements with a disdainful smirk. He chose not to intervene, intending instead to gauge the masked man's true strength.

He harbored doubts about the masked man's classification as a Forbidden Wizard, unable to fully ascertain his power. To confirm his suspicions, he withheld his intervention.

Gary awaited the masked man's offensive, believing it would clarify whether he was a mere Magic Lord or a genuine Forbidden Wizard.

To his growing frustration, nothing transpired. The masked man remained inactive. A flash of anger crossed Gary's features.

Swoosh!

In the subsequent moment, Gary vanished from his location, reappearing directly before the masked figure.

"Who are you?"

"Why did you refrain from acting last night?" Elder Gary's questions came in rapid succession.

He acknowledged the masked man might possess an unusual background. However, aboard the moving vessel, he considered himself the paramount authority.

Consequently, he felt no apprehension towards the masked individual.

Conversely, upon hearing Elder Gary's interrogations, I detected an unsettling shift in his tone.

[Ding! Malicious intentions were detected.]

The system's announcement reverberated in my mind, stirring a tempest within my heart. I hadn't anticipated Gary's true motives would be exposed so swiftly.

This, however, placed me in a precarious predicament.

"I am conserving my strength. Manager Robert instructed me to engage only when absolutely necessary," I responded.

"Humph!"

Elder Gary let out a dismissive snort.

He declared, "He is not present. Currently, I am the sole Guardian of this ship. The 12th Order Monster is drawing near. You must stop it."

"Failure to comply will result in me compelling you to fight before everyone else," he added menacingly.

Swoosh!

With those words, he departed, returning to his room. A chill spread through me; the worst-case scenario had unfolded.

I found myself trapped, with limited options. If I did not act decisively, I would face an even more perilous situation.

I wished to avoid being coerced into battle by Elder Gary, as such circumstances would preclude any possibility of escape. Furthermore, I was unwilling to expose my hidden trump cards before them.

Should my secrets be revealed, he could potentially inflict far greater harm. In any other setting, I might have devised a plan for retaliation without hesitation.

At that precise moment, I felt a mental probe scanning my being. Elder Gary was still maintaining his surveillance.

Clarity dawned upon me, and I resolved to act immediately. The next instant, I leaped from the deck.

Splash!

Instantly, I plunged into the dark, deep blue ocean. My Wizard eyes granted me clear vision beneath the waves as I surveyed my surroundings.

A potent sense of crisis washed over me. Turning swiftly, I propelled myself toward the ship's anchor. I swam rapidly towards its massive structure.

The anchor dwarfed my size. I gained purchase upon it, and in the following moment, I turned my attention to the approaching 12th Order Monster. It had significantly closed the distance.

While I possessed the means to retreat into the Gregor Mansion or utilize the blue water pearl, my objective was to construct a convincing ruse to deceive Elder Gary.

As the colossal head of the shark-like monster loomed closer to the ship, I raised my hand and unleashed a 7th-stage magic spell.

"Gravity Blast"

A faint wisp of gray magical energy emanated from my index finger. In a blinding flash, the potent magical projectile impacted the shark monster's head.

Boom!

A massive explosion erupted in the subsequent moment.

The shockwave radiated towards the ship. Positioned atop the anchor, I immediately retreated into the Gregor Mansion.

Inside the hall, I struggled to catch my breath, requiring several moments to regain my composure.

Subsequently, I stepped into the control room. Instantly, I found myself positioned before the control mirror, observing the external environment through the viewport. Although the ship was trembling, the shark monster had thankfully withdrawn. I was well aware of the potency of a 7th-stage magic spell; its power was far from ordinary. Even if it hadn't outright vanquished the sea monster, the sheer force of the spell was more than sufficient to inflict damage upon it. My strategy, it seemed, had been executed effectively. As for whether the old man Gary had uncovered my scheme, I remained uncertain. My gaze remained fixed on the unfolding spectacle outside, reflected in the mirror. Swoosh! Old man Gary materialized in the ocean, taking his stance upon the anchor. A sharp glint flashed within my eyes.
