"Young man, I didn't expect to see you here so soon," Old Man Barry remarked.

"Raymond," he exclaimed in anger.

The stone house disintegrated into rubble.

Raymond was astonished. He hadn't anticipated the old man's aggressive move, though he had long perceived the latter's strength.

Seeing this, Raymond let out a snort and returned to the child's side.

He observed her condition and understood the situation immediately.

A black magic circle materialized beneath his index finger. Soon after, the circle began to absorb the dark mana poison from the child's body.

The little girl, still unconscious, stirred slightly in pain. Slowly, a dark liquid seeped from her body, being promptly absorbed by the black magic circle.

On my end, I nodded in approval. Raymond was fulfilling his role and not reneging on his word. Just as I had suspected, he could indeed reclaim the dark mana from the victim's body.

This saved us a considerable amount of trouble, eliminating the need to seek assistance elsewhere.

Old Man Barry was overcome with joy, tears streaming down his face. He hadn't anticipated Raymond's arrival, and now his descendant was being saved.

Old Man Barry turned his gaze toward the masked man. He found himself speechless, unable to articulate his thoughts, especially considering he had concealed information from him.

Meanwhile, I saw through the old man's internal turmoil.

"The little girl is saved now. Take care of her. I must depart." With that said, I turned to Raymond.

"You can return to your estate. Your family must be looking for you. But remember, tell no one. Just say you went to a mountain range to practice," I advised him.

Raymond shuddered slightly and nodded his head firmly.

Observing this, Old Man Barry was stunned. He couldn't begin to describe his inner astonishment. He had never witnessed such a reaction from Young Master Raymond before.

If the people in the capital were to learn of this, they would surely be speechless.

"Excellent," I declared.

Instantly, I departed. In a blur, I ascended into the sky, casting one final glance at the location before resuming my travels.

A supreme relic was obtained from this place. It seems I balanced the scales by helping the girl. A grin spread across my face as I set my sights on the Opal Magic Forest.

My intention was to proceed without any detours.
