The outer circle elders of the Raymond Family reported Raymond's disappearance to the main elders, who dismissed it as unlikely. Meanwhile, the protagonist left the capital disguised and disguised, heading towards Pebble City. Raymond, trapped in a magical artifact, realized he might have been captured by an enemy. After a several-day journey, the protagonist arrived in Pebble City and found a carriage to the Granite Crest Mountain Range, keeping watch on Raymond, who had remained quiet.

Border

The Monster carriage makes its way toward the distant mountain range, a remote locale on the outskirts of the capital.

Few people travel this path; typically, only locals are accustomed to visiting the mountainous region.

Time flowed onward,

Inside the carriage, I discreetly observe the chatter of the other passengers. My mask, it seems, makes them hesitant to engage with me directly.

This anonymity suits my purpose, saving me the trouble of divulging unnecessary details. My sole objective is to reach the mountain range as swiftly as possible.

Several hours later,

The carriage halts at the border, signaling the passengers' departure. I alight, offering a word of thanks to the carriage owner before proceeding on my way.

Once inside the forest's embrace, the passengers disperse, each bound for their own objectives. Recalling the familiar route, I waste no time, heading directly towards the stone house area.

No detours are made. Utilizing the Raven Aircraft would invariably attract unwanted attention, especially after my previous encounters with tribal inhabitants.

Not all individuals encountered are benevolent. Warding off potential conflict with groups led by Forbidden Wizards is paramount.

...

Raymond Family

A state of high alert grips the Raymond Family. All movement within their estate is restricted, affecting even the resident staff.

News of Young Master Raymond's vanishing has spread, no longer a closely guarded secret.

Whispers among the staff operating the sky carriers have amplified the information, ensuring it reaches every corner.

The Elder Hall:

A bloodied elder kneels before a white-haired, middle-aged man – none other than the patriarch of the formidable Raymond Wizard Family.

Angus Raymond, a man of imposing stature and clad in the regalia of a national border commander, presides.

Currently, Angus seethes with displeasure, demanding accountability from the injured figure before him: the old Butler.

The Butler was the last known individual to have seen Young Master Raymond within his private chambers.

Other elders, radiating potent auras capable of stirring tempests in the outside world, are present within the hall.

Remarkably, these formidable individuals all belong to the same illustrious family.

Angus Raymond, seated upon his imposing chair, inquires,

"Tell me, is what you stated earlier the absolute truth?"

The old man trembles at the question. He had clung to the belief that Young Master Raymond would surely return. Alas, he was mistaken; a dire fate has befallen him.

"Yes, my words are the truth. I did witness someone disguised as kitchen staff entering the cabin room as the final entrant."

"Upon investigating the room, I found it devoid of occupants. Later, the disguised individual departed, masquerading as cleaning personnel. By the time I realized the gravity of the situation, it was tragically too late."

"Within moments, I had gathered everyone on deck, yet the culprit had vanished. I suspect they possess space-type magic, enabling them to spirit away Young Master Raymond undetected," the Butler confesses.

"Kelly, is his account truthful?" Angus demands.

A female elder steps forward, her eyes momentarily flaring with light. She confirms, "I employed my magic. I detected no deception in his testimony."

Gasp!

A collective intake of breath ripples through the room.

Angus clenches his jaw, his voice resonating with grim affirmation, "Then your accounts are indeed true."

"Your life may be spared, but absolution from punishment is impossible." With that declaration, he extends a single finger, pressing it into the empty air.

Boom!

Instantly, the old Butler is crushed by an immense, crushing pressure. His internal spell model implodes. His mana core, housed within its space, is annihilated. His meridians and veins rupture, followed by the shattering of countless bones.

In the span of a heartbeat, he is rendered utterly useless.

"Confine him to the dark cells. His sentence is until death," Angus decrees.

Gulp!

Elders positioned near the old Butler draw sharp, audibly cold breaths. They are rendered speechless, comprehending the severe transgression.

How could such a monumental failure to protect Young Master Raymond occur under his watch? They can only offer silent, internal commiserations.

Elder Kelly's gaze holds a subtle, enigmatic glint. No one can fathom her thoughts.

Angus surveys the assembly, his gaze sweeping over each individual.

He then states with conviction, "There remains but one plausible explanation: a targeted strike by the enemy. They expertly exploited the tournament's fervor to infiltrate the Great Capital and abduct my son."

"Hmph," he exhales, a sound thick with simmering anger.

The other elders remain silent, unwilling to offer immediate counsel. The perpetrator behind this audacious act could very well be a Forbidden Wizard.

This is particularly true given that Young Master Raymond himself is a Magic Lord. It is inconceivable that another Magic Lord, even one wielding space magic, could achieve such a feat.

Young Master Raymond possesses no true rivals at the Magic Lord tier. His mastery over dark magic is profound, his comprehension of its rule power nearly absolute.

The next level of power that could potentially challenge him belongs to the Forbidden Wizards. Consequently, the elders are hesitant to propose any concrete strategies.

Observing the elders' collective silence, Angus gradually begins to quell his rage.

Angus inquired, "Is there any method to locate the adversary?"

Upon hearing this, the assembled elders exchanged glances. Tracking a spatial mage was a task only another of their kind could accomplish, yet hours had already elapsed.

The trail might have vanished completely.

As Angus caught wind of their low discussion, a chill gripped his heart. He recalled that his son possessed items of great value, specifically for communicating with him.

Subtly, he retrieved a delicate necklace from his attire. Opening the locket, he revealed a minuscule vial within. This vial pulsed with an ancient magical aura.

Contained within the small vessel was a clear liquid. Observing it intently, one could discern tiny, tadpole-like runes swimming within. This artifact was crafted by a formidable Life Wizard of Elder-level might.

It had been bestowed upon his son. Should this vial be shattered, the very life force of Raymond would cease to exist.

Presently, the tube remained unbroken. All that was required was to ascertain his son's current location. Once pinpointed, he would seek aid from the revered ancestors.

These ancestors, being powerhouses at the Elder-level, would undoubtedly facilitate a swift rescue of his son. With resolve, he then secured the necklace back into his pocket.
