Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 1879 1879: Update Surge

Granite Crest Mountain Range
Upon reaching the mountain's base that night, I touched down on the ground. The area was alive with verdant foliage and towering trees, some of which were entirely new to me.
Beyond the colossal shade trees, there were specimens with expansive trunks and tiered branches, as well as those adorned with sharp, protruding spikes. This mountain range was remarkably diverse.
I surmised this location would be ideal for meditation, particularly for adept wood-type and healing wizards.
Scanning my surroundings, I decided to secure a place to rest. I ventured into the dense vegetation, where no clear path presented itself.
It became necessary to forge my own way forward, clearing away the overgrowth, especially the rampant vines and plants. I pressed on, heading towards the imposing mountain wall.
Before long, several crevices were discovered. Their openings were sufficiently large to accommodate a person seeking shelter.
Detecting no presence within these natural alcoves, I selected one and took up residence inside.
The passage within the crevice was narrow, yet the interior space proved adequate. Settling onto the ground, I leaned my back against the cool rock.
My focus shifted to awaiting the system's update completion.
A flicker of anticipation sparked in my eyes.
The system had already acquired a valuable new capability: facilitating communication with intelligent species. I eagerly awaited further enhancements.
My thoughts then turned to the Verdant Wood, a nation unlike any other.
Having given my word, upholding that promise was paramount. I retrieved my device and consulted the map. The country's border was surprisingly close.
I could reach it within a day's travel. My hope was that the system update would conclude promptly, allowing me to commence my journey to the Verdant Wood.
Time marched onward.
The subsequent morning marked the system's update completion, heralded by a voice within my mind.
[Ding! System update completed.]
The system's announcement roused me. Opening my eyes, I observed the sunlight filtering into the passage and immediately recalled the ongoing update.
"System, detail the new updates," I requested.
[Ding! The probe function has been enhanced, enabling the identification of a wider range of items.]
[Ding! The shield's power has been augmented, allowing the host to conceal their presence from Elder Level Powerhouses.]
[Ding! The communication function has been upgraded, permitting communication with any intelligent species.]
[Ding! The inventory's spatial capacity has been further expanded. The host can now imprison any living entity up to the Magic Lord level within, and the host can also enter the system space.]
The system interface materialized before me. My attention focused on the four listed updates as I began to review them sequentially. Each improvement was significant.
Several minutes passed.
A broad smile spread across my face. While no entirely novel functions were introduced, the existing ones had all been considerably strengthened.
My spirits soared with excitement; these enhancements were precisely what I needed at my current stage.
The first update promised to revolutionize my commerce. Identifying higher-tier items more effectively would undoubtedly lead to greater resource acquisition.
My gaze then shifted to the second update, which felt even more critical.
I had been contemplating how to infiltrate the new country, given the involvement of Magic Lord Level and Forbidden Wizard powerhouses.
This update offered a vital layer of security, ensuring I could explore the nation without undue concern.
This particular improvement would be immensely beneficial for my upcoming expedition into the Verdant Wood.
Next, I considered the third function, the one involving communication, which had seen an earlier upgrade. Henceforth, language barriers would cease to exist.
To truly leverage this enhanced capability, I intended to utilize it for deciphering ancient magical texts.
Although this new function might not appear spectacular at first glance, its utility, when applied correctly, was undeniable. Perhaps a visit to the magic shops in this new country was in order.
Specifically, I should make a point of visiting the bookstores.
My attention finally settled on the last update, equally crucial and directly relevant to my objectives.
The extent of the benefits bestowed by this update was beyond expectation; the ability to imprison beings up to the Magic Lord level was extraordinary.
This meant I could capture adversaries and confine them within the system space. Furthermore, I could now enter this space myself, much like navigating the Gregor Mansion.
Swoosh!
With a mere thought, I materialized within the system's confines. I stood amidst a vast expanse delineated by a blue grid. The internal dimensions were immense.
Observable on the ground were the stored inventory items, most notably the twenty-seven distinct magic artifacts.
A sharp glint flashed in my eyes. I began to sense the ambient mana, initiating the Gravity Ark Mental Method.
Instantly, I felt a surge of gravity mana converging upon me, akin to being within the Gregor Mansion itself. There was no resistance.
Speaking of the Gregor Mansion, it should also reside within this system space. Halting the mental method, I surveyed my surroundings.
My vision pierced the expanse, eventually discerning the silhouette of a large mansion. My eyes gleamed with renewed intensity.
For the first time, the exterior of the mansion was laid out before me. I found myself recalling the initial memory of acquiring this inheritance.
Ever since then, I hadn't had the opportunity to witness the outside world.
Swoosh!
With great speed, I propelled myself towards the mansion, arriving in a blur. Halting directly in front of the structure, I began to take in its outward appearance.
Its former proprietor was an immensely potent wizard. It was from him, located far away in my hometown, that I inherited this residence.
I had consistently underestimated the potential held within this mansion. It has remained with me even now, and there are still further secrets waiting to be unveiled.
Subsequently, I pushed open the main entrance and stepped inside. Proceeding into the hall, my gaze fell upon the Zero Puppet, currently in a state of slumber.
I then made my way into the control room, arriving before the control mirror. Through it, I viewed the exterior scene: the cave passage. At this moment, the passage was devoid of any occupants.
Only the gentle sunlight was visible, piercing the entrance of the passage.
