Silver Tower
Our conversation persisted. Once every question was resolved, she handed me the resources. Afterward, I headed back to my room.
Stepping inside the room, I noticed it remained undisturbed, though covered in thick dust and spider webs.
There was no need to sleep there. I proceeded to the Gregor Mansion and climbed into bed for rest.
…
Outside,
The spies verified that Appraiser Frank was missing. He had departed from the appraisal shop.
They determined the masked man was likely Appraiser Frank. He had gone into the Silver Tower.
The information rapidly reached nearby factions. They realized Appraiser Frank might have received a crucial assignment.
Subsequently, they dismissed the issue. The notion that Appraiser Frank and Wizard Vincent were one and the same never crossed their minds.
Thus, they dropped the matter entirely.
…
The next day,
I departed the Silver Tower at dawn. I skipped calling Manager Lara to notify her.
Instead, I sent her a text message. That sufficed. Then I exited and boarded the raven aircraft from the Gregor Mansion.
It touched down on the ground. I accessed the cockpit, settled in, and sealed the door.
Buzz!
I activated the aircraft. It lifted off the ground, hovering. As it ascended into the sky, I engaged stealth mode and took control.
The aircraft vanished completely from everyone's view.
Swoosh!
Now it raced toward a border town. Spies positioned outside spotted the aircraft too.
Yet they paid it no heed. The leaders wanted no involvement with the appraisal shop.
The Flame Elemental Tower and Green Elemental Tower were already under pressure.
Other wizard clans and organizations avoided provoking the appraisal shop without cause.

Unknown Dark Territory
Last night,
Forbidden Wizard Remi searched for the Fate Wizard. The old man was absent from his typical spot.
He began inquiring among familiar contacts in the unknown dark territory. At last, he obtained a clue to a new location.
He headed there immediately. Unease gnawed at him. Though uncertain of the situation, he felt urgency to locate the Fate Wizard quickly.
Arriving at the new spot, he discovered an forsaken residential zone. He ventured inside.
At the far end, he spotted the old man residing solitary in the final structure.
"Old man," Remi exclaimed in surprise.
The old man, a Dark Faction Wizard, recognized Remi’s purpose upon his arrival.
Remi approached him. He gazed at the old man, whose expression stayed impassive.
"I know why you have come here. But I can’t help you. My body has already weakened. If I use my magic spells, then my body will be further weakened," the old man told him.
Remi wasn’t foolish. He was aware Fate Magic demanded a heavy toll.
Next, Remi explained his circumstances to the old man.
Upon hearing Remi sought to know if the target remained within or beyond the Mage Union Territory, the old man frowned.
Such a query required no spell. His instincts could provide insight.
"Wait!" he instructed Remi.
Relief washed over Remi at those words. He had feared immediate refusal.
Observing the old man, he saw no spellcasting, just an alternative approach.
The old man relied on his intuition to confirm.
"Your target is still inside the Mage Union Territory," the old man declared.
Remi rejoiced at the news. Even without a spell, the old man’s methods proved reliable. This revelation satisfied him fully.
Remi departed the site in high spirits.
He was returning to the border.
…
Time flew by,
Before midday, the raven aircraft arrived at the border town. Border guards halted it.
They sensed the aircraft via mental power. I exited, presented the appraisal shop card.
The guards recognized Crystal City and me, so they permitted passage.
I reentered the raven aircraft and continued the trip. It glided effortlessly across the border.
Uncertain of my return, I plotted the destination on the map and switched to autopilot.
The aircraft soared steadily through the skies. I called Otto, notifying him of my border crossing.
I urged them to protect themselves and the shop, then hung up.
Meanwhile,
Forbidden Wizard Remi returned to a border town. The replacement Magic Lord lingered there.
Remi questioned if the Magic Lord had spotted anyone. The Magic Lord shook his head.
Remi felt no dismay. Fate Wizards honored their words. Wizard Vincent might still lurk in the city.
Thus, he harbored no concerns. Yet, he needed to persuade the higher-ups. He quickly called them, recounting his visit to the Fate Wizard.
Shock coursed through the higher-ups. They never imagined Forbidden Wizard Remi could reach the Fate Wizard so effortlessly.
What words could they offer? If the Fate Wizard truly sensed Wizard Vincent remaining in the city, their hunt for him might yet succeed.
The higher-ups sprang into motion. They consented to gather resources for the search of Wizard Vincent.
Only at that moment did Forbidden Wizard Remi unwind. His journey to the Fate Wizard had proven fruitful. But he remained oblivious—it was already far too late.
His quarry had already slipped beyond the border. Locating him was now out of reach.
Even laden with resources on a return to the Fate Wizard, the old man couldn't assist. He wasn't simply frail; he was utterly incapable of wielding magic spells.
