Magic Lord Clint left the Crystal City shop after Elder Blake threatened to involve the Forbidden Wizards, unaware his confrontation with Vincent Carey had been fully recorded and broadcast. Vincent coordinated with allies to secure the area and end the live feed while recovering from Clint's coercion. Upon viewing the incriminating footage exposing his scheme, Clint realized he had been tricked and returned furiously to the community, where Elder Blake blocked his entry amid a second live broadcast.

Crystal City,

Magic Lord Clint regained his composure. Any move he made at this moment would tarnish his reputation even more.

Thus, he withdrew. He glanced at Elder Blake and the rest. Finally, he cast one last gaze over the zones within the crystal community.

Swoosh!

Clint departed from there without a backward glance. After his departure, everyone else breathed a sigh of relief.

Elder Blake scanned the surroundings. Spotting his friend Chris, he nodded in his direction.

Chris switched off the live stream next. With that, their task concluded. Blake chose to depart as well.

He stationed two officials upfront; he aimed to prevent Magic Lord Clint's return. The spectators dispersed shortly after, a few minutes later.

No one knew what would unfold next. The wizards from Green Elemental Tower had brought trouble upon themselves.

Office

Inside the office, I followed the news too. Magic Lord Clint had revealed his true colors. Soon, public fury would shift to him and the Green Elemental Tower.

I anticipated that Green Elemental Tower would steer clear of issues from now on. They'd fear another live broadcast exposure.

A smile crossed my face, yet it failed to ease my rage. Magic Lord Clint had assaulted the team members.

Personal revenge was essential for him. Currently, all eyes were on Magic Lord Clint. Acting now would only rebound against me.

My plan was to isolate Magic Lord Clint initially. Once the spotlight faded from him, I'd strike.

In my mind, Magic Lord Clint was already marked for death. His elimination would proceed gradually.

Next up, targeting the wizard families was key. They had dispatched their people to incite chaos here too.

A chilling glint flashed in my eyes. Composing myself, I refocused in the office.

Chris and the team visited me. Their assignment was complete. I expressed gratitude for their aid before they departed with their staff.

Elder Blake kept his two officials at the store. He sought to block anyone exploiting the chance for mischief.

Time flew by.

That nightfall, a surprising visitor arrived. Recognizing the figure, shock gripped me. It turned out to be old man Martin.

I personally welcomed him outside and escorted him to the office. We settled on facing sofas.

"Old man, what brings you here?" I inquired.

Truthfully, joy and surprise filled me. The old man rarely ventures from his bookstore. His own affairs keep him occupied.

"Well, hearing you'd purchased a shop, I decided to visit. I figured it'd be like a bookstore, not an appraisal shop."

"It caught me off guard. Before arriving, trouble already found your doorstep," Martin chuckled.

His words clicked; he meant the Green Elemental Tower incident.

Shaking my head, I replied, "They were lying in wait for me. No surprise if they made a move."

Martin nodded in agreement.

Surveying the room, he then questioned, "Why not set up in the magic city? A shop there would deter troublemakers. I'd watch over it too," Martin continued.

His tone was earnest. A strong bond linked him to the young one; he wished no harm upon him.

He was aware the Magic Tower folks were ruthless. They'd attempted the kid's life before and wouldn't relent. Another try loomed.

I mulled it over. Old man Martin's suggestion held merit, but he was unaware this shop served for intelligence collection and as my headquarters.

"Old man, you're correct. Yet I'm secure here. Silver Tower oversees the city. The entire populace backs me."

"Officials to locals, all recognize me. They aided my venture too," I explained.

Martin's gaze sharpened.

"Will folks still visit?" Martin probed curiously. Even under Silver Tower, fear might keep people away.

Right then, locals entered the shop in a group. They'd witnessed Magic Lord Clint's expulsion moments ago.

They trusted the spot's safety. Officials guarded the entrance, barring any disturbances.

Noticing the shop's calm, they spotted a couple of patrons inside. Prior staff had vanished from sight.

"Here they come," I remarked.

Old man Martin grinned. I gestured for old man Rock to handle them. Old man Rock acknowledged with a nod.

"I suppose you're correct. This location works well. Rule-breakers won't dare act rashly," Martin smiled.

Suddenly, his expression sobered, and he cautioned: "Still, Forbidden Wizards ignore such things. If they target you, countless methods await," Martin stated coldly.

His words silenced me. Memories of Forbidden Wizard Remi surfaced.

A sparkle danced in my eyes. Quite some time has passed since my last appearance, but the Black Tower shows no response whatsoever.

The Black Tower holds far greater peril than the Fire Elemental Tower or the Green Elemental Tower. Yet, they remain completely inactive up to now.

Old man Martin discerned my inner thoughts. He inquired, "What are you thinking?"

I shared my uncertainties with him. The utter silence from the Black Tower left me incredulous. Old man Martin looked taken aback—he had overlooked it as well.

He warned, "It’s not a good sign. These people harbor deeper grudges than the other two magical towers. Stay on your guard. They might be plotting something sinister."

"Keep a close watch on your staff. Unlike the other towers, they won’t hesitate to deploy a Forbidden Wizard against you," Martin cautioned.

He had witnessed such ruthless tactics in the past. Once the Black Tower brands someone as an enemy, they spare no effort to wipe that person out.
