Magic Lord Clint and Supreme Wizards Wade and Cody confronted Vincent in the Crystal City shop office, mocking his background and threatening retribution for offending the Green Elemental Tower. Despite the presence of Magic Lord Rock and Elder Blake, Clint remained defiant but left after being ordered out. Vincent dispatched Elder Blake to follow them and released Zero Puppet to spy on their plans, as Clint checked into a city hotel.

Crystal City-Shop

Elder Blake lived up to expectations. He handled his duties perfectly, securing rooms for the visitors at the top hotel in the city.

Magic Lord Clint along with the two Supreme Wizards headed to the hotel. They avoided troubling Elder Blake. Their real aim was Vincent Carey.

Unbeknownst to them, the dark red smoke trailed them right to the hotel. It listened in secretly, gathering every scrap of intel it could.

Time flew by.

That midnight, I awaited the dark red puppet's return. No word came from the Infinite Wizard Association's informer.

This very informer had first alerted me about the Green Elemental Tower Wizard. I had no clue who would arrive first.

Shortly after,

The dark red smoke slipped through the window crack. It materialized before me, shifting into the Zero Puppet.

"Master," the Zero Puppet greeted.

Next, it delivered the full report. I settled onto the sofa to hear it all.

A few minutes passed,

I stored the puppet back in the Gregor Mansion. Then I exited the room and climbed to the rooftop. Once there, I waited for the informer to arrive.

The Zero Puppet's intel proved priceless. My suspicions were spot on. The Green Elemental Tower Wizards harbored malicious plans.

They aimed to stir up trouble here without striking me outright. Their scheme was to provoke me into hurting them, giving them justification to retaliate.

But they remained unaware that I had uncovered their plot. Driving them off wouldn't be simple. They could sabotage the business instead.

A few minutes later,

The system alerted me to an intruder in the community. I recognized who it was. I spun around, gazing at the terrace entrance.

A shadowy black figure dashed to the main building. In an instant, it appeared on the terrace.

The black shadow morphed into a masked man in black attire.

Spotting him, I activated the system probe to verify his identity. The system's voice confirmed it was the same individual.

"Your intel was spot on. Someone from the Green Elemental Tower did come to meet me," I told the informer.

"We've uncovered more too. If you keep staying here, other families plan to target you."

"They're scheming to disrupt the business here," the black-clad wizard revealed.

That news made my heart race. My hunch was correct. The Green Elemental Tower and others shared the same wicked motives.

They sought vengeance on me while aiming to wreck the business. The deeper I pondered, the clearer it became.

My gaze grew frigid. I sensed hidden eyes watching me. Preparation was essential.

"Anything more?" I inquired.

I noticed the intel centered entirely on me.

The black-clad man nodded and replied, "That's all."

"Fine, you may go," I instructed.

The black-clad wizard dissolved into a black shadow and vanished. Watching his departure, my eyes sparkled with realization.

I never anticipated the Infinite Wizard Association hiding such a skilled Supreme Wizard. Once the informer fully departed, I stayed put on the terrace.

A strategy was needed. Sticking to my current identity would only invite endless harassment from these pests.

Acquiring the Magic Mask would be ideal. I pulled out the device and spotted Manager Lara's contact.

Unsure if calling her now was wise, I stowed the device and headed back to the room.

The following days repeated the same chaos. Magic Lord Clint brought his crew to harass me. He only departed after I summoned Elder Blake.

I figured he'd leave after a bit, yet he lingered in the city. Clearly, he had orders to keep tormenting me.

Everyone fumed, but they grasped these foes' scheme. Meanwhile, rival wizard families dispatched disguised agents posing as buyers.

They behaved obnoxiously, rejecting every item on display. They sparked scenes in the gallery, annoying genuine customers who stormed out, vowing to return later.

Business suffered noticeably. The staff awaited my command. Meanwhile, I anticipated Manager Lara's call.

With the Magic Mask in hand, my next steps could unfold.

That night,

Manager Lara called. She informed me Lord Charlotte had secured the Magic Mask from the Mage Union via my credit.

The mask now rested with Manager Lara. I could pick it up from her anytime. She invited me to collect it at my convenience.

Thus, I departed home immediately that night. I summoned the Black Raven Aircraft for the journey.

A few minutes later,

In stealth mode, the aircraft departed the city, soaring toward its target. The outside spies remained oblivious.

Faster than any ground transport, the aircraft neared Magic City within hours. Upon arrival, I disabled stealth.

The aircraft pressed on to the Silver Tower, arriving shortly after.

I touched down in the open area before the Silver Tower. After parking, I stepped out and flashed my badge before entering.

I swiftly reached the entrance and stepped inside. It had been a while since my last visit. I headed to my room for some rest first. I'd reach out to her soon.

I rested for two hours. Then I prepared myself.

One hour later,

I descended to the lobby to meet her. Manager Lara was surprised. She hadn't foreseen my arrival, though she knew of the shop's troubles.
