Supreme Wizard Holden Barrett visited the Crystal City Shop on its opening day to request Appraiser Frank's assistance with a confidential family appraisal. Frank agreed to help after his schedule, expressing curiosity while arranging for a high-level magic mask from the Mage Union to shield against prying eyes of Forbidden Wizards and Elders. Manager Lara promised to procure it, warning of surfacing forbidden items, as Holden departed satisfied with the arrangement.

Crystal City - Shop

Time slipped away.

Upon hearing of my recovery, crowds grew larger as more individuals arrived. Some stopped by to visit me personally, while others inquired about the shop's fresh proprietor.

They feared the store might relocate. I reassured everyone that no such shift would happen.

Next, I seized the moment to summon nearby families, Rebecca and Ethan's included.

Without their aid that fateful day, circumstances could have deteriorated far worse for all.

They rejoiced that I remembered their support. Afterward, I compensated them with mid-grade mana stones for their vital help.

They had expended their personal healing supplies to treat the wounded. Initially reluctant, they finally accepted after my firm insistence on the mid-grade mana stones.

The discussions flowed smoothly. Once they departed, I shifted attention to the remaining visitors and attended to their needs.

"Master, business is thriving like never before. No need to fret over our supplies—we draw them from our wages," Frank remarked.

In response, I grinned and replied, "Don't concern yourselves. Greater resources await us moving forward."

Choosing this city proved wise. Had the shop launched in the magic city, foes would have surely assaulted it.

That evening, shutters closed on the shop. The team then gathered for their meeting.

"Master, what's your plan for tomorrow?" Hank inquired.

To that, I answered, "Tomorrow brings my true identity into play. Frank, however, will be absent."

"Should questions arise, say Frank's away on travel," I instructed further.

"Master, rest easy. Troublemakers won't emerge. Your genuine identity holds immense power. Dare any assailant strike, counter them freely," Otto chimed in nearby.

"Wizard families lack the folly to target our master," Patrick added from beside.

Old man Rock remained silent, inwardly thankful for his choice to align with this crew.

Meanwhile, I absorbed their exchanges. Following light banter, all retired to their quarters.

At the stroke of midnight, dark red smoke seeped through the window into the dwelling once more.

It descended to the floor, morphing into a puppet form. The Zero puppet had stayed occupied throughout the day.

Noting the puppet's intact state, I posed my queries. Details flowed from the Zero puppet in turn.

On this occasion, it uncovered vast insider secrets, even on the clans' concealed powers.

Certain wizard families had secretly assembled groups beyond Mage Union lands.

The revelation of these secret factions captivated me. Evidently, all mirrored my path; wizard family heirs commanded their private armies too.

I hadn't encountered such yet. My sole clash had been with the Doyle Family.

Lurking behind them stood the Green Elemental Tower. Come tomorrow, I'd step forth publicly. Uncertainty lingered on potential disruptions from them.

Should they provoke, I'd welcome the clash eagerly. Too long had passed since my last public display.

With the Zero puppet's report concluded, I stored it within the Gregor Mansion.

Sleep followed soon after.

...

Outside,

Numerous factions dispatched spies to monitor the appraisal shop, among them Doyle Family agents and Green Elemental Tower watchers.

Entry into the Crystal Community eluded them. Previously, they'd disguised as patrons to infiltrate the premises.

Yet schemes crumbled. Intelligence revealed a Magic Lord's aura within the shop—trespass meant certain detection.

Operations confined to external vantage points were their sole recourse.

...

The next day dawned,

I rose with the early light. Emerging from bed, my morning regimen commenced, spanning a full hour.

Then, into the Gregor Mansion I ventured for training. Reaching the hall, I assumed a cross-legged seat upon the floor.

Mid-grade mana stones emerged next, clutched in my grasp.

Eyes shut, I activated the Gravity Ark Mental Method. Gravity mana from stones and ambient air surged into me.

Guiding it along prescribed paths, the mana coursed through veins. Post-cycle, it converged in the mana core space.

There, the mana core devoured the gravity mana greedily. Observing this, I persisted in the cycle.

Comprehending the gravity rule now topped my agenda too.

Time marched on,

Several hours later, practice wrapped up. Attention turned to the gravity rule, deepening my insight steadily.

With passing moments, murky uncertainties dissolved into clarity.

One hour onward,

Session complete, I called forth the status panel for review.
