Edmund Smith battled Magic Lord Scott to shield shop owner Frank, holding firm until Scott detonated a magic artifact, injuring him severely. Scott then demanded to inspect the protagonist's storage bracelet amid the chaos. Magic Lord Isabella from the Silver Tower appeared, sided with Scott against Frank, and unleashed pressure on the defiant protagonist when he refused.

Crystal City-Shop

Pain from the pressure started gripping me tightly. Fury filled my gaze as I stared at the elderly woman. She showed no sign of easing her oppressive aura.

Isabella burned with rage. She was stunned that no one dared challenge her. Slightly, she ramped up her pressure even more.

Boom!

The overwhelming coercion slammed into me. My knees buckled under the force. Just then, Elder Blake and Old Man Rock rushed out from inside.

Shocked by the scene unfolding, they froze in disbelief. Blake spotted the old woman and her badge, causing his face to twist in alarm.

Old Man Rock noticed Master Vincent's injury. He moved to intervene, only for Elder Blake to block him swiftly.

"No. Don't do it. Look at her badge," Blake warned him urgently.

Upon hearing those words, the old man snapped back to his senses. He glanced at the badge, and realization dawned in his eyes.

"Why are you doing this?"

"If you don't have a banned item, then you can show your storage bracelet," Scott demanded.

"But you are refusing to do so. It only means you have something to hide," he continued coldly.

"It means I don't have to listen to the words of the Flame Elemental Tower people," I shot back.

Scott's expression darkened ominously. Without the binding rules, he would have slain the insolent shop owner on the spot.

"You are not listening to him? Then what about me?"

"Are you not going to listen to the words of the Silver Tower Wizard?" Isabella demanded threateningly.

At that moment, she despised shop owner Frank utterly. Her humiliation burned deep, particularly before the Flame Elemental Tower representative.

Boom!

Her control shattered. An immense coercion crashed down on me. A devastating shockwave tore through me, my body howling in agony.

Swoosh!

Forced back, I staggered several steps.

Beyond that, blood trickled from my lips. I erased the crimson stains. Yet, my mind raced to Manager Lara.

Uncertain of her fate, I worried. She arrived too late. If this persisted, my disguise would unravel completely.

Old Man Rock witnessed the wound. His features hardened in fury. Elder Blake's visage soured equally.

Swoosh!

Rock lunged ahead to protect. Disregarding Elder Blake's cautions entirely.

He materialized beside Master Vincent. Seizing him firmly, he attempted to pull back.

Boom!

Magic Lord Isabella unleashed everything. Her complete coercion erupted. A fearsome, brutal power battered my frame once more.

Yet Old Man Rock held firm. Then Blake absorbed the onslaught, blocking the full force from me.

Boom!

Old Man Rock endured the crushing weight.

Witnessing this, Isabella and Scott seethed with fury. They itched to unleash their magic spells.

"This old man again," Scott muttered.

Isabella abandoned all pretense of restraint for her wrath.

Swoosh!

Vanishing instantly, she reappeared before them. Her fists hammered their forms in rapid succession.

Boom!

The blow's force jolted both our bodies. Moments later, we soared through the air before slamming into the earth.

All in an instant.

Scott reeled in shock. He never anticipated the old woman striking their allies. Swiftly piecing it together, clarity struck him.

"The old woman is from the Dark Faction, while Manager Lara is rumored to support the White Silver Faction," Scott pondered.

Meanwhile, excruciating pain surged wildly inside me. It throbbed intensely. Suddenly recalling, I reached for my mask.

The mask remained unbroken. Relief washed over me as I exhaled.

Gasp!

A massive outcry erupted.

Elder Blake, officials, and nearby residents gaped in horror. Shouts of astonishment filled the air.

No one foresaw Shop Owner Frank enduring such an assault alongside his employee. They couldn't cast spells either.

Indoors, the team stood stunned. Patrick, Otto, and Hank froze uncertainly. The monsters lurked below ground, refusing to emerge.

Rebecca and Ethan's parents trembled in fear.

Outside,

Reporters scrambled to record every detail. The broadcast already aired Silver Tower Wizard Isabella's strike on shop owner Frank.

Viewers puzzled over her alliance with the Flame Elemental Tower Wizard.

The pair appeared united against shop owner Frank. Sympathy stirred among locals. Then, a figure emerged from the structure.

It was Leader Edmund Smith himself.

Observing from afar until now, the sight of Shop Owner Frank and staff battered pushed him into action.

He positioned himself protectively before Shop Owner Frank and Rock.

Isabella repulsed him deeply. Rumors of her arrogance as a Dark Silver Faction member rang true.

"What are you doing?" Isabella questioned.

"Don't you see Elder Blake standing aside?" she pressed.

Edmund Smith brushed her off, turning to Elder Blake and the officials.

"Elder Blake, are you going to watch this injustice?"

"What are you going to say to Manager Lara?" Edmund demanded gravely.

Those words soured Elder Blake's face further. Truthfully, both had pierced Magic Lord Isabella's motives.

Aware of Silver Tower's inner strife, they recognized her opposition to Manager Lara.

Magic Lord Scott's patience had evaporated long before. He viewed the old woman's intervention favorably at first.

Yet he misjudged. Local support eluded her entirely.

Swoosh!

In the following instant, he vanished.

Elder Blake reacted immediately upon seeing it. He moved to halt Lord Scott once more. Powerless against Magic Lord Isabella of the Silver Tower.

However, he could thwart the Flame Elemental Tower intruder. They lacked jurisdiction to domineer in Crystal City—their domain.

Boom!

Their clash ignited high above.

Simultaneously, Isabella spoke up. She identified Leader Edmund Smith.

"I heard your association is not doing well. The recent turmoil can't be hidden. Yet you want to stand up for him in this situation," Isabella sneered mockingly.

Edmund snorted dismissively.

Rooted in place, his position was unmistakable. No further assaults on Shop Owner Frank would he permit.
