Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 1824: Part 2: Scott’s raid

Crystal City Shop
Magic Lord Scott suddenly materialized before me, intent on seizing my storage bracelet by force.
Refusing to let him act, Magic Lord Blake and the veteran Rock stepped in, forcing me back as they prepared to engage the newcomer.
Scott immediately grasped that he would need to deal with these two before he could truly challenge the shop owner, Frank.
Whoosh!
In a blur of motion, he ascended from the floor and hovered in the sky.
Exchanging a quick glance, Blake and Rock soared up after him. They understood that if left unchecked, the situation would spiral out of control.
Boom!
A violent clash erupted, manifesting again as a contest of physical might rather than a barrage of magic spells.
This mirrored the previous encounter where Manager Lara and Scott similarly traded physical blows, ensuring neither side technically violated the regulations.
Boom! Boom!
To the onlookers, the combatants were nothing more than a chaotic blur against the horizon, accompanied by thunderous roars that shook the very earth.
While Magic Lord Blake and Rock were undeniably powerful, Scott proved equally formidable, matching them blow for blow.
Rock, being a body-type wizard, held his own comfortably for now, though he risked defeat should their adversary switch to magic-based assaults.
Down below, I followed the aerial skirmish with an observant eye. Unlike the panicked crowd, I felt a sense of calm and retained confidence in my allies.
Beside me, Leader Edmund observed the struggle with keen interest.
He recalled the last time a similar event occurred, where Manager Lara had successfully kept the peace. A sudden realization sparked in his eyes, and he turned toward the shop owner.
"Shop Owner Frank, what is your next move?" he inquired.
"He has the backing of the Forbidden Wizard Callum and appears to be zeroing in on you specifically. Have you crossed him in some way?"
I raised my eyebrows at the query. I had been pondering the exact same mystery, but then it hit me: this was a calculated attempt to diminish the reputation of the Silver Tower.
"They are threatened by the rising status of this appraisal shop, especially given our alignment with the Silver Tower," I replied.
A sharp glint flashed in Edmund’s eyes as he concurred. He was, after all, a representative of the Silver Tower himself, which was why he had been dispatched to provide support.
It was a stroke of luck that Magic Lord Scott had arrived solo, without the reinforcements he brought during his previous visit.
"What is the status of the Tulip Auction House? Will they make an appearance?" Edmund asked.
I managed an internal smirk. They had already absorbed significant losses, so I doubted they would choose to insert themselves into today’s chaos.
"I have no idea," I stated simply.
Edmund just shook his head, while the nearby crowd listened to our casual exchange with immense surprise.
The local residents were particularly stunned; they had expected the shop owner to be trembling in fear, yet he remained remarkably serene and collected.
Nothing seemed to faze him. Even the occupants of the mansion remained calm upon catching sight of Master Vincent’s expression.
Even the monsters had quieted down, knowing the true identity of Master Vincent, and thus feeling no reason for alarm.
Meanwhile, the media channels were in a frenzy, broadcasting unflattering reports about the Flame Elemental Tower.
The public began to fixate on the deepening, unsightly rivalry between the Silver Tower and the various other Elemental Towers.
It was increasingly clear that the Flame Elemental Tower was blatantly disregarding established customs and causing a public scene.
Distant cities were airing the same news, baffled by the reckless behavior of the Flame Elemental Tower, especially after their previous schemes had ended in failure.
They were gambling on a new plan to incite turmoil, yet in doing so, they were rapidly exhausting the patience of the Silver Tower.
It would surprise no one if the Silver Tower sought retribution against the Flame Elemental Tower soon.
....
Manager Lara, currently halfway to her destination, monitored the live updates of the incident.
She observed the brutal physical clash between Magic Lord Scott and his opponents and felt relieved that Vincent had support in his corner. Had he been stationed in a different city, he might have been left entirely to his own devices.
Because of the situation in Crystal City, she had already petitioned local authorities to provide assistance earlier that day.
She remained puzzled by the Flame Elemental Tower's persistence, aware that Lord Erwin would undoubtedly be furious.
He had ignored their previous failures, but this repeat performance demanded a response, and she anticipated he would finally take action.
Furthermore, she received word of a welcome development: Forbidden Wizard Charlotte was returning today. Once she arrived, no one would dare agitate the shop further.
....
Flame Elemental Tower
High-ranking members of the Flame Elemental Tower monitored the broadcast with growing unease.
They were startled that Scott had failed to uncover the prohibited item, leading them to suspect it might have been secured by Frank himself.
Without a thorough search of every individual’s storage bracelet, locating the smuggled object was effectively impossible.
The leadership grew anxious over the potential backlash, prompting a few members to quietly reach out to their contacts within the Green Elemental Tower.
It was the Green Elemental Tower that had provided the initial intel, and they needed to confirm if they had been misled.
The Green Elemental Tower insisted that their information was accurate, noting that their agents had successfully completed the task.
They had even employed a wizard specialized in truth-seeking, who confirmed their operatives had not been deceptive, leading to the conclusion that someone else must have spirited the item away.
They theorized that the shop owner, Frank, was likely hiding the truth. If they could deploy a wizard endowed with special, truth-revealing powers, they might be able to corner him.
However, the risk was high; deliberately antagonizing the Silver Tower would invite reciprocity in kind.
They held out hope that Magic Lord Scott would uncover a lead, so they could justify deploying their special wizard to finalize the truth.
Of course, this could easily backfire, as the Silver Tower possessed its own cadre of mystical experts, and any move they made could be met with an equal response.
