God-tier Farm Chapter 3883 Proper arrangements (2)

Xia Ruofei offered a faint smile. "The priority is ensuring that wages and benefits don't diverge too much from our current staff. Keeping things balanced prevents internal friction. However, if the market rate is significantly lower, I am prepared to bridge the gap from my own funds. I won't let there be a massive disparity in how everyone is treated."

At this stage, mundane currency held little value for Xia Ruofei. His wealth had reached a point where it was practically inexhaustible. Even without further investments, the sheer interest from his bank accounts was enough to fund a lavish lifestyle indefinitely. Subsidizing over a hundred people, even at a cost of ten or twenty million US dollars annually, was a negligible expense to him.

"There is no need for that!" Ma Jia countered immediately. "Wherever the men work, they should be paid according to local standards. Having you pay out of pocket is illogical; it just isn't right!"

Waving his hand dismissively, Xia Ruofei replied, "Old Company Commander, we can settle the specifics later. For now, does this plan seem viable to you? Since I'm the one moving my brothers overseas, I don't want anyone thinking I'm just washing my hands of them."

"That won't happen. Without this opportunity you're providing, many of our brothers in the guard would be struggling. We owe you a debt of gratitude!" Ma Jia continued, "Ruofei, you've already thought of everything. I see no issues at all! Tell you what—I'll present the two choices you've laid out and start a sign-up list. If the interest for Australia exceeds the number of slots available, we will simply select the most qualified candidates."

Xia Ruofei nodded in agreement. "Let's gather the brothers' thoughts first. If the majority wishes to go to Australia, I'll do my level best to accommodate everyone."

Given the vast scale of Peach Blossom Farm, absorbing a few extra security personnel was hardly a burden.

Furthermore, if there were a surplus of men, they could be stationed at the winery or integrated into Tang Yitian's company. These men were elite Scouts and Special Forces veterans; their skills were more than sufficient for any high-level security role.

After a moment of reflection, Xia Ruofei added, "By the way, working in Australia requires a standard work visa. I'll have the Australian team issue official invitation letters. Getting the visas approved shouldn't be an issue."

"Understood," Ma Jia nodded.

Then, Ma Jia couldn't help but inquire, "Ruofei, what about the non-security staff? What do you have in mind for them?"

He was particularly concerned because his wife, Lin Yue, was currently employed at the Peach Source Island Airport's meteorological station.

Xia Ruofei chuckled. "I'll let everyone decide for themselves. Those who want to move to Australia will be taken care of. For those who prefer returning to China, Paradise Corporation can find them suitable roles. However, some might need to transition to new career paths. The company doesn't currently have a role for someone with Sister-in-law's expertise in Meteorology. That said, if she truly loves that field, I can use my domestic connections to secure her a position at a major meteorological bureau. That won't be a problem at all."

While Xia Ruofei couldn't personally manage every individual's preferences, he was determined to look after the family of his Old Company Commander.

"I'll discuss it with her, but we will definitely stick together regardless of the choice," Ma Jia said with a forced, weary smile. "During my years in the Army, I had more than enough of living apart from my family."

Xia Ruofei laughed. "That's perfectly fine! You might consider the Australian farm. It's located in the Hunter Valley near Sydney. The scenery is breathtaking and the air is pristine. Most importantly, it isn't isolated like Peach Source Island. The locals are straightforward and kind, and traveling to Sydney or heading back home to visit relatives is quite simple. It's much more convenient than our current location."

Ma Jia looked genuinely intrigued. He smiled and said, "I'll head home and see what your Sister-in-law thinks."

Xia Ruofei nodded. "Great. Old Company Commander, please take the next two days to gather everyone's opinions and compile them. I'll return the day after tomorrow so we can finalize the distribution plan."

"Consider it done!" Ma Jia replied firmly.

In truth, Ma Jia had found life on Peach Source Island somewhat stifling over the last few years. As long as the pay remained reasonable, he was more than willing to leave. He knew many of the guards stayed only for the high salary, so he suspected they wouldn't mind the relocation either.

Standing up, Xia Ruofei said, "I'll take my leave then. I'll see you in two days, Old Company Commander."

As he exited the guard camp, Xia Ruofei glanced back. He had poured a lot of effort into this camp's establishment, even spending tens of millions to have Li Yifu source advanced weaponry from the international black market. These guards were armed to the teeth. Once they left, these weapons couldn't be moved. They would likely be locked away in the shelter's vaults, destined to never see the sun again.

With Xia Ruofei's current level of strength, he had no personal use for such firearms.

Still, the evacuation was necessary. Despite a fleeting sense of nostalgia, he turned and walked away with resolve.

Upon reaching the forest, Xia Ruofei swept the area with his spiritual power to ensure no hidden sentries were nearby. Satisfied, he activated a concealment talisman and flew back to the Yanhuang building on his sword.

Because the guards were his former comrades and superiors, Xia Ruofei felt it was his duty to inform Ma Jia personally. However, Li Yifu would handle the rest of the staff. Li Yifu's loyal subordinates would likely return to work in the United States, and their discretion was guaranteed. They would inform their own families in due time, so Xia Ruofei wasn't worried about that part of the process.

Back at the Yanhuang building, Xia Ruofei summoned Li Yifu to check on the coordination efforts. He instructed him to notify all non-security personnel to prepare for evacuation. He emphasized that highly skilled technicians needed to stay until the incoming Cultivators were trained to take over their roles. These technicians would be the final group to leave, though with a Cultivator’s enhanced learning speed, the transition would be swift.

After Li Yifu left to carry out his orders, Xia Ruofei returned to his cultivation in the top-floor suite.

Though he had planned to meet Ma Jia on the third day, Ma Jia called him much sooner. The island's internal phone system connected all sectors, and Ma Jia knew the number for the Yanhuang building suite.

"Ruofei, are you free today? If so, come over to my place now!" Ma Jia requested.

Xia Ruofei chuckled into the receiver. "Old Company Commander, you're incredibly efficient! I gave you two days, and you're done in less than one?"

"Everyone is eager to move beyond the island," Ma Jia explained with a laugh. "The moment I brought it up, they were all lining up to sign the list! We can go over the specifics when you get here."

"Alright," Xia Ruofei said. "I'm on my way."

Checking his watch and realizing it was nearly noon, he added, "Old Company Commander, have Sister-in-law whip up a few dishes. I'll bring two bottles of premium wine so we can drink while we talk."

"Sounds good! It's been too long since our last drink," Ma Jia agreed. "We actually have fresh beef and plenty of seafood that the brothers brought in on the supply ship yesterday. I'll have your Sister-in-law start cooking!"
