Gabriel agrees to the Ant King's dying wish to protect the remaining unhatched royal eggs. The Ant King dies, having placed his trust in a human, and Gabriel collects the valuable ant corpses into his system space. Sophie arrives, surveying the devastation, and asks Gabriel what they should do next.

Gabriel slowly raised his head and looked toward the deeper regions of the wilderness, where mist still hung over broken stone and distant ridges.

His eyes grew distant.

"First, I’ll fulfill the promise I made to him. We would head to the alveron range I’ll settle those eggs somewhere safe. Then..We continue deeper into the wilderness."

He paused, letting his gaze drift toward the mountain line on the horizon the direction he had been traveling before the ant tide found them in the rain.

By chance he was pretty familiar with this place and if he took the west they would be in the ruins in few hours.

"Common, let’s go." Gabriel gestured

Sophie nodded gently. She asked no further questions and silently fell in behind him.

Before long, the two figures moved beyond the edge of the ruined field, leaving the bloody battle field.

Several hundred kilometers away, back in New Dawn camp

Gabriel had been gone for days now, and Samathan and her Skelenton legeon. had doubled the watch. For the last few days, Seraphina had said nothing and had simpmy stood at the walls of the camp looking into the distance as if she was waiting for an unseen enemy.

The others in the camp was confused as tow hy she was doing this. They didn’t know why she had told them to tighten their guards and remained standing on the walls like an unmovable status.

The fiecre wilderness breeze blew through the air casing her short hair to flutter in the wind.

Right at that moment, a faint ripple flickered acrosee her calm red eyes. Her red lips patted slightly at that moment.

"They are here."

At that moment....

Boooooooooooooom!

A deafening crash rolled out of the northern tree line. The outer palisade splintered. Refugees shouted. Players ran for the walls with weapons they had barely finished repairing after the tomb.

"Report!" a broken dawn played stumbled into the command hall, blood on his face. "Northern line is gone! Something’s pushing through the forest—too many to count, and they’re not just monsters! Half of them are iron-built!"

"The western fields are burning! edgrburn banner was seen behind the second wave!"

"We lost contact with the forward watchtower! No survivors confirmed!"

One urgent report after another rang through the camp.

On the admistrtaive room pinned to the wall, red marks crept toward the camp center faster than anyone could update them. Blue marks—the outposts Gabriel had spent months securing—went dark one after another.

Anna stood before the map with her jaws.

Cassie gripped the edge of the table until her knuckles whitened.

Because everyone in that room understood the same thing.

Gabriel was not here, the likes of Ragnarok, Sniperbowlegend and Bunny was also currently away for the tournament that means their forced was greatly lacking compares to the reports that had reached them.

And if he they don’t do anything the camp might fall even before Gabriel arrived.

..

As Gabriel had anticipated, it didn’t take the two of them long to reach the ruins of King Alvireon II’s mausoleum.

He had killed the Super Queen here before, and he was intimately familiar with every layer of the ant nest hidden beneath the resting place of this fallen monarch. So when the Ant King mentioned the Brooding Trench in his dying moments, Gabriel had already understood—the other wasn’t referring to some unfamiliar ant colony in a distant region. The war that had taken place on the wastelands was merely the portion of this vast ant civilization that had surfaced above ground. The true core, carrying the bloodline and future of the entire race, still lay sleeping in the deepest depths of these ruins.

Deep within the underground ant nest.

As Gabriel and Sophie continued their descent toward the lowest level, the air grew increasingly still. The scattered ant corpses that had lined the various tunnels gradually disappeared, replaced by wide, immaculate subterranean passageways. Countless softly glowing crystals were embedded in the walls on both sides, illuminating the entire underground nest as brightly as day. The intricate, intersecting channels stretched ever deeper, like a massive spiderweb covering the entire underworld.

Neither of them spoke throughout the journey.

While continuing forward, Gabreil constantly extended his spiritual perception in all directions, carefully probing every subtle change within the vast underground complex. As his perception delved deeper, he gradually realized that the true scale of this ant nest was far greater than what he had seen during his last exploration of the ruins.

Even though the ant army on the surface had suffered near-extinction-level devastation in that catastrophic raid, these subterranean depths still concealed countless uncharted regions that no one had ever set foot in.

In the past he hadn’t known this because his perception had been pottifull low.

Nevertheless, Gabriel didn’t deviate from his original route.

Another ten-plus minutes passed.

The once-wide underground passages began to narrow. The scent of blood that had permeated the air completely vanished, replaced by an extremely faint yet utterly pure life force. At the very end of the tunnel, a colossal stone door over thirty meters tall stood silently in place.

The door’s surface was covered in ancient, intricate carvings—interwoven lines forming the image of a majestic golden emperor ant, its wings fully spread as if it might break free from the stone at any moment and soar into the sky.

Sophie gradually slowed to a stop and unconsciously lowered her voice.

"This place... doesn’t look like an ordinary ant nest at all."

Gabriel gave a slight nod. "It was never an ordinary nest. Before the Ant King’s bloodline reached the surface, the Queen I killed had ruled here for many years."

With that, Gabriel slowly raised his right hand and pressed his palm against the stone door before him.

*RUMBLE—!!*

A deep, deafening roar echoed as the massive door, which had remained sealed for who knows how many years, slowly swung open on both sides. A surge of life force so dense it nearly crystallized into substance rushed out from the space beyond, washing over the two standing outside.

The next moment What lay before them left Sophie utterly frozen in place.
