Even Reese looked surprised.

Asad had actually succeeded!

He had taken control of the Demon and transformed it into one of his own undead servants.

Asad calmly examined his newest subordinate.

"Not bad."

He could still sense the tremendous power contained within the creature’s body.

Unlike ordinary corpses, this Demon retained almost all of its original strength.

More importantly, its demonic energy had not disappeared.

Asad had simply forced it under his control.

"This should be useful."

He turned his attention toward the portal.

The Demon immediately moved to his side and stood silently behind him.

Wallace stared at the scene for several seconds before finally letting out a helpless sigh.

"I was worried that thing would escape into this realm. I didn’t expect someone would be capable of overpower a Demon Lord... Even if that guy is injured, it shouldn’t be that easy."

He glanced at Asad.

"Instead, you turned it into your own."

Asad looked toward him.

"Wasn’t that the problem?"

Wallace was speechless for a moment.

Then he laughed bitterly.

"I suppose it was."

Behind Asad, the newly conquered Demon slowly raised its head.

Its eyes were no longer filled with the madness it had displayed moments ago.

It was now completely obedient.

And Wallace suddenly realized something.

If this Demon had been strong enough to escape the Codebreakers’ restraints, then it just showed how powerful Asad was.

Meanwhile, Asad was just so happy since he had just gained a powerful new servant.

Wallace looked at Asad for a moment.

There were quite a few questions he wanted to ask.

What exactly was Asad planning to do with the Demon?

How had he managed to completely subdue a Demon Lord?

And more importantly, could he really keep a Demon under his control without any problems?

However, Wallace quickly glanced at the portal... It was still open.

He had already been delayed far longer than he had intended, and he didn’t want to risk being left behind again.

He had learned his lesson the last time.

"Forget it."

Wallace shook his head... He could ask about it later.

Right now, returning to the Codebreakers was more important.

"I’ll ask about this another time."

He glanced at Asad before turning toward the portal.

"I have to go."

Asad simply nodded.

"Go."

Wallace didn’t waste any more time as he immediately stepped through the portal.

The moment his figure disappeared, the portal began to stabilize once again, leaving only Asad, Reese, Wade, and the undead demon behind.

Reese watched the portal for a few seconds before turning his attention toward Asad.

He had heard quite a lot about this man.

In fact, almost every member of the Eclipse Revenant Clan knew his name.

Asad.

The Rank 2 Survivor and the only person who stood directly below Shane in the Global Survivor Ranking.

And unlike Shane, who was their Clan Leader, Asad was known as one of the Clan’s Elders.

Reese had never expected to meet him like this.

He immediately stepped forward and bowed slightly.

"Lord Asad."

Asad looked toward him.

"You’re Reese, aren’t you?"

Reese was slightly surprised.

"Yes."

"I’ve heard about you."

Asad glanced at Reese’s weapons before looking back at his face.

"You’re the Demon Hunter recruited recently. I heard you’ve mastered several Demon Hunter skills. We’ve discovered a few Demon Lairs recently. You will be working overtime..."

Reese chuckled, as he knew that despite not having Demon Hunter Skills, the elite members of the Clan could still hunt the Demons without any issues...

"I was fortunate enough to receive the opportunity."

Asad nodded.

"That’s good."

His response was simple, but Reese could tell that Asad was genuinely interested.

After all, Asad had just obtained a Demon... It wouldn’t be surprising if he asked more questions about it since he understood them like the back of his hand.

Reese hesitated for a moment before asking,

"Lord Asad, may I ask you something?"

"Go ahead."

"That Demon..."

Reese glanced toward the creature standing quietly behind Asad.

"It was a Demon Lord, wasn’t it?"

Asad nodded.

"Yes."

Reese’s expression became serious.

"How did you manage to turn it into an undead?"

Asad glanced back at the Demon.

"I didn’t turn it into an ordinary undead."

Reese’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"What do you mean?"

"I suppressed its soul and forced it to acknowledge my authority as its master. Its original body and most of its power remain intact."

Asad paused before continuing.

"That’s why it can retain its demonic energy."

Reese finally understood.

"So you didn’t destroy its consciousness."

"No."

Asad shook his head.

"I simply made it obey me."

Reese looked at the Demon again.

The creature that had been roaring and desperately trying to enter the realm only moments ago was now standing completely still behind Asad.

It was difficult to believe that they were the same creature.

"That’s incredible."

Asad didn’t seem particularly impressed by his own achievement.

"It was injured, and its soul had already been weakened by its injuries and the restraints placed on it. If it had been at its peak, subduing it wouldn’t have been nearly as easy."

Reese nodded.

Even so, the fact that Asad could accomplish something like this was already astonishing.

He then remembered something else.

"Lord Asad, why are you here?"

Asad looked toward the area where the portal disappeared and smiled.

"Nothing... I was just investigating unusual fluctuations in death energy in this area."

His eyes briefly fell upon the portal.

"I didn’t expect to encounter this powerful Demon. It shouldn’t be around here for sure."

Reese’s expression became thoughtful.

"Then you probably arrived at the right time."

Asad gave him a faint smile. "It seems so."

"Is it safe to keep that Demon here?" Reese asked. Well, he had never seen anyone control a Demon before.

Of course, Asad understood his concern and glanced at his new subordinate.

"As long as it remains under my control, it won’t cause any trouble."

Still, Asad was also curious about what it could do. So, after a few moments, he finally left the area, and this time, he planned to visit another Demon Lair they had discovered!

Asad thought to himself as he also recalled the growing concern with the Elves...
