A colossal tsunami of corrupted mana was unleashed upon the fortress, but the barrier held firm, repelling the attack and devastating the invaders. Meanwhile, an ethereal spirit-elf observed the battle, impressed by the defenders' resilience and powerful mechs. As Vampire Lords attempted to infiltrate the fortress through blood transformation, sacred talismans cast by Natalie expelled them, turning the tide of the battle against the attackers. Recognizing their defeat, the Dragonkin Elders ordered a retreat.

With a guttural cry that echoed, the Dragonkin Elders retreated with powerful wing beats, swiftly vanishing into the vast expanse of the clouds!

At this point, the Vampire Lords were already significantly weakened and under immense pressure…

However, the moment they witnessed the Dragonkin Elders' hasty departure, they immediately followed suit, dissolving back into the shadows!

Their escape was executed without a second thought; survival was paramount, and none wished for an untimely demise!

Following their disappearance, the battlefield soon succumbed to an eerie silence.

Corpse-strewn grounds told a grim tale, zombies had dissolved after being stripped of their resources, vampires were reduced to mere dust, and wyverns lay broken while the fortress itself miraculously remained standing…

Its protective barrier had long since been dismantled due to the ferocious onslaught, but it mattered little now. The damage had effectively been contained.

The defenders had achieved victory!

Meanwhile, the spirit-elf remained stationary, positioned high above the chaotic battlefield, suspended in mid-air…

He had meticulously observed every single moment, every fierce clash, that had just unfolded.

His expression was inscrutable, yet his gaze meticulously scanned, as if attempting to unravel the reasoning behind Shane's selection by the Fairy Queen!

Still, he could not dismiss the reality that they had performed exceptionally well against the combined might of three opposing forces.

"They are not entirely inadequate…" he murmured softly.

He could discern that these individuals had not yet attained the true Level Cap.

A crucial element was missing for them to transcend Level 70, and for Shane, to surpass Level 80.

As for those who faltered in completing their Level 50 Ascension Quest, they were destined to remain perpetually at Level 60…

However, Shane's unique status, particularly his current Level Cap, provided a rationale for the Fairy Queen's inexplicable decision.

Precisely then, as triumphant cheers erupted from the defenders, their weapons raised in elation, the spirit-elf faded into the nocturnal veil, leaving behind only a subtle, ethereal shimmer in the heavens…

Naturally, the ongoing event had not yet concluded, and as a result, the battlefield swiftly transitioned into a state of controlled stillness.

Numerous hours elapsed, and although the event timer continued its descent, no new adversaries emerged.

The defenders maintained a heightened state of vigilance, weapons at the ready, their eyes scanning the horizon for any hint of movement.

The Trident Mechs were undergoing rapid repairs, slated for immediate redeployment, while the Super Soldiers rested within their exosuits, also prepared to surge into action if the need arose.

Shane moved amongst them, utilizing his Tokens to administer healing to those requiring it.

Furthermore, he was capable of bestowing various beneficial buffs as circumstances dictated.

"Remain alert… We still have several hours remaining in the event…" he advised, though he too felt the peculiar tranquility embracing the fortress.

Tris had already slumped against the ramparts, his posture suggesting a nascent relaxation.

"It feels excessively peaceful… but perhaps this signifies the conclusion." Mystra voiced her thoughts. She and the assembled elves kept their bows taut, reluctant to disarm until the System itself formally declared victory.

Minutes slowly elongated into hours, the palpable tension never fully dissipating, yet gradually, a sense of relief began to permeate.

Survivors exchanged weary acknowledgments with their eyes, a few even let out soft chuckles, realizing that perhaps no further enemy waves would materialize…

Then, at long last, a familiar electronic chime resonated throughout the world.

A sound instantly recognizable to every survivor.

It was the System Notification.

The defenders collectively froze, then looked upwards as luminous text materialized in the air before them.

The event had officially concluded.

[ Congratulations! The Cross-Apocalypse Invasion Event has officially concluded! ]

[ Attention, Survivors! The global trial has now ended. The Cross-Apocalypse Invasion Event is hereby declared complete. ]

[ Event Debrief ]

[ For a duration spanning an entire day, settlements across the globe withstood synchronized onslaughts from three distinct converging factions: the relentless undead hordes, the formidable vampire legions, and the imposing dragon armies. Survivors navigated escalating combat phases:

Phase One: A convergence of mid-tier zombie swarms accompanied by subordinate vampire thralls.

Phase Two: Advanced mutated zombie elites, bolstered by the presence of Vampire Lords and swift Wyvern packs.

Phase Three: Formidable Apocalypse bosses, including Zombie Kings, the ancient Elder Vampires, and powerful Draconic Beasts, spearheading meticulously coordinated assaults.

The challenge's intensity was calibrated based on settlement size and defensive capabilities. Larger settlements encountered more potent bosses, intricate force combinations, and strategic assaults. Notwithstanding the overwhelming adversity, settlements globally achieved remarkable outcomes, with a mere 42% succumbing to destruction! ]

The ongoing notification continued, but Shane and a considerable number of others momentarily halted.

"What in the…"

The resplendent text brought to their attention that something was amiss.

As other survivors silently processed the information, their initial cheers abruptly ceased upon absorbing the stark figures.

Forty-two percent destroyed.

Shane's eyes widened considerably.

"Forty-two percent… That signifies that almost half of all settlements have been annihilated." His voice was a low, somber tone… This scenario was far more perilous than he had initially conceived!

Tris clenched his fists, his expression a mask of utter disbelief. "The System deems this 'incredible'? This is outright devastation. Entire communities obliterated."

Tundra also registered his displeasure, his gaze furrowing as he immediately accessed the Clan Chat…

Thankfully, every shelter under their Clan had weathered the storm. While there were inevitably casualties and damage, their various protective barriers had held strong for several crucial hours…

Natalie’s expression became stern. “So many lives lost… even if the System hails this as a success, it is undeniably a tragedy.”

As she voiced this, she had already verified that her own shelters and her allies were secure. In fact, an evacuation had been successfully carried out. Three of their designated shelters had been abandoned, thus they were not subjected to any direct assault.

Travis found himself in a similar situation…

He too confirmed that the Drakeheart Vanguard shelters had sustained damage, but none were completely destroyed. Three of his shelters had their Shelter Crystals nearly obliterated, yet despite this grave circumstance, the number of casualties was kept to an absolute minimum.

This was all attributable to their enhanced vitality, a direct result of the dragon blood he had previously bestowed upon them.

In any event, the ongoing system notifications continued to stream in…

[ Global Results ]

- Millions of zombies vanquished, including numerous high-ranking Zombie Kings across various territories.

- Vampire forces successfully repelled, with Elder Vampires subdued within numerous shelters.

- Dragon armies significantly weakened, wyvern packs dispersed, and a small number of Flood Dragons were sighted in different locales, though they were either wounded or driven back.

- Defensive barriers, fortifications, and innovative tactical approaches proved to be the deciding factors in the collective survival.

[ Invasion Points ]

[ Survivors amassed Invasion Points through the following actions:

- Eliminating enemy combatants from across different apocalyptic timelines.

- Safeguarding civilian populations and minimizing structural destruction.

- Accomplishing clandestine objectives that were progressively revealed during the heat of battle.

Points have been calculated on a global scale. The final rankings are established, and shelters will be granted rewards commensurate with their standing. ]

Shane gave a gentle nod, recalling the Invasion Points system that had been introduced by the System…

He was uncertain of his exact point total, but he had a strong conviction that he had accumulated a substantial amount…

After all, according to the official notification, only a select few Flood Dragons had been deployed during this particular global event.

It would hardly be surprising if the remaining Flood Dragons had set their sights on the Eclipse Domain, New Genesis, and the Springriver Manor, given their already formidable power.

Regardless, he was confident that his personal results would be exceptionally favorable.

With that thought, he continued to read through the remaining system announcements…

The System, in its infinite capacity, will continuously push the boundaries of survival and test the limits of all involved.

[ End of Announcement ]

Shane concluded his perusal of the lengthy cascade of illuminated text, allowing the information to fully settle in his mind…

Shortly thereafter, he received his personal notifications detailing the rewards, invasion points, and the various hidden quests he had successfully completed…

However, his wristwatch suddenly flickered with a soft hum, and the familiar synthesized voice of his A.I. companion, Cloud, resonated.

“Cloud? What is it?” Shane inquired, his gaze sharpening with curiosity.

The AI’s voice responded with practiced calmness…

[ Report: During the concluding hours of the event, an exceptionally powerful presence was detected. Its essence signature bore a striking resemblance to both Fairy and Elven Spirit attributes. This entity maintained a high vantage point above the active battlefield, seemingly observing the proceedings. Its mana resonance is unlike any known survivor or existing enemy entity. ]

Classification: Could be a Legendary or Mythical Elf. "Mythical Elf?" Yes. The resonance was stable and not hostile, but it was strongly focused on you, Shane. It left after the battle ended, with only mana traces remaining. "Is that so... Well, it's good that they aren't hostile..." Shane mumbled. Then, he froze. He suddenly remembered some mysterious elves he had encountered before. They had all revealed themselves to him after each event that needed teleportation... "Admin?"
