Shane narrowly survived a fatal blow from the Vampire Lord, using his False Revival talent to claim the life of a dying guard. Despite initial resistance from his allies, Shane engaged the powerful Vampire Lord alone. He utilized his skills, Aura Suppression, Soul Rend, and Spirit Shackles, to weaken the creature. Shane then unleashed powerful elemental arrows from his Mythic bow, Sylph's Whisper, dealing significant damage and forcing the Vampire Lord to retreat. As the battle raged, the Vampire Lord revealed knowledge of Elves, hinting at a deeper conspiracy, while Shane continued his assault.

The Vampire Lord was beginning to feel exasperated by the unfolding events…

"You imagine fire can halt me? I am eternal!"

Once more, Shane drew his bow, infusing it with a greater amount of mana this time.

"Then let's observe just how eternal you truly are," he whispered, doubting the Vampire Lord could even catch the faint words.

He loosed a barrage…

This time, he activated the bow's special ability!

Swiftly, fiery arrows descended like a meteor shower. Each projectile was precisely guided, possessing the power to sear the very essence of the Vampire Lord.

The Vampire Lord finally grasped that this was no mere Epic or Legendary Bow crafted by elven hands. This was a Mythic Bow, a divine bestowal from the Elven Queen herself!

A shriek escaped the Vampire Lord, his form commencing to falter. His former haughtiness dissolved, replaced by sheer terror. After an extended period, he appeared suddenly vulnerable.

Shane's eyes narrowed. "This is for Nika."

Though his acquaintance with Nika was brief, he understood her significance within the shelter…

It was already remarkable that Tris maintained his composure, refraining from a suicidal charge.

Nevertheless, Shane was resolute in his conviction that this Vampire Lord had to be vanquished, no matter the cost…

Presently, the bow emanated a more intense glow, as if sensing Shane's burgeoning fury.

He pulled the bowstring taut to its absolute limit, channeling every ounce of his energy.

Soon, a colossal arrow forged from fire took shape, its presence observable by all within the confines of the Draconic Fort!

A collective gasp of astonishment arose!

Even Tris, who had been contemplating an action regarding the shelter's barrier generator, briefly halted his movements… The gathering energy felt akin to a Dragon's Breath!

For a fleeting moment, he suspected a Dragon had infiltrated their sanctuary!

Yet, it was merely Shane's formidable attack!

Swiftly, an arrow blazed forth, resembling a streaking comet.

The arrow was released by Shane!

This action caused Tris concern – the potential for his Fort to be obliterated instead of the Vampire Lord became a real possibility!

However, the Vampire Lord lacked the swiftness to react adequately…

Shane astutely employed both Aura Suppression and Spirit Shackles concurrently, effectively delaying the Vampire Lord's movements for a crucial few seconds!

Consequently, the arrow blazed through the air, impaling the Vampire Lord's chest!

Flames erupted in a conflagration!

In that instant, the Vampire Lord attempted an escape, but the encroaching flames also began to engulf his blood mist, consuming his very essence!

He was utterly shocked…

The Vampire Lord stumbled, his body trembling uncontrollishes. His Blood Mist ability proved useless!

His crimson eyes widened in utter disbelief.

"You… mortal… how…"

Shane lowered his Sylph's Whisper.

His own body shuddered with exhaustion, having expended all his Mana. Nevertheless, he remained standing, fixing his gaze upon the Vampire Lord.

"Because I possess superior equipment," he responded deliberately.

The Vampire Lord let out a snarl, deciding at that moment to employ an alternative method for his escape…

"This is far from over… I shall return…"

His physical form began to contort, shrinking and transforming.

In a desperate gambit, he abandoned his humanoid shape, condensing into the form of a bat.

With a piercing screech, he attempted to flee into the nocturnal expanse.

Shane's brow furrowed upon witnessing this development…

Still, he was confident in his ability to finish the Vampire Lord.

He raised his hand, sparks of lightning crackling at his fingertips. "You are not escaping--"

But before he could unleash his Lightning Surge, an unforeseen event transpired.

The space surrounding the bat shimmered unnaturally.

A bubble of translucent energy materialized, ensnaring the Vampire Lord in mid-air!

Whom~

The bat emitted a shrill cry, colliding with the bubble-like barrier, which remained steadfast!

Shane froze, utterly astonished. "What…?"

Then, the realization dawned upon him. This was not his doing; it was Tris.

From the ramparts, Tris advanced, his eyes blazing with raw fury…

Behind him stood the Core Extractor, looking drained.

Evidently, he had been transporting a wooden chest moments before.

This chest contained numerous Wyvern Cores, saturated with corrupted draconic energy.

All these cores had been channeled into the Barrier Generator.

Subsequently, Tris utilized the energy harnessed by the Generator to enact a modification upon their barrier.

Indeed, in lieu of a mana dome that periodically unleashed electrical storms, a containment field was successfully established!

This was the bubble now encasing the Vampire Lord, immobilizing him.

Shane lowered his hand, the nascent lightning dissipating. He turned to face Tris.

"You… imprisoned him?"

Tris gave a confirming nod. His voice dripped with animosity. "I cannot slay this creature yet. It must endure suffering."

The Vampire Lord shrieked from within the bubble, his wings beating wildly, his aura pressing against the ethereal walls. Yet, the barrier, powered by the Wyvern Cores, held firm!

Shane gave a slight, understanding nod upon hearing this.

He could sense the depth of Tris's rage. Nika's demise had left an indelible wound, and this was his act of retribution.

"Very well," Shane conceded softly. "But you owe me compensation. I receive no spoils when you capture it alive."

Tris nodded in agreement, as he too intended to remunerate Shane. Without Shane's initial efforts, his bubble-like barrier might not have proven sufficient for containment.

"Naturally. We shall settle that score after this Cross-Apocalypse Event concludes."

A roar of cheers erupted from the defenders, still engaged on the battlefield, upon hearing that the Vampire Lord had finally been apprehended.

The Vampire Lord, the monstrous entity that had breached their defenses and possessed Nika, injuring Shane in the process, was now defeated and no longer a menace.

With their most significant threat eliminated, the survivors redirected their full attention back to the ongoing conflict.

"Charge forward!" Pascal bellowed, his profound grief over Nika's loss now intertwined with unyielding fury.

"Annihilate the horde!"

Even the Super Soldiers advanced with renewed vigor, their blades slicing through the remaining zombie ranks.

Warden Units marched in formation, systematically dismantling thralls and vampires.

Simultaneously, the remaining enhanced warriors, under Pascal's command, leaped from the ramparts to plunge into the fray and eradicate the last of the enemy forces.

Tundra unleashed another bomb, engulfing a cluster of Hunters in flames.

Garron's axe split the skull of a Tyrant in two.

Caesar's shield impacted a Juggernaut with a resounding blow, sending it crashing to the ground where the Super Soldiers finished it off with swift strikes…

The battlefield began to regain a semblance of order.

Shane let out a deep breath, lowering Sylph's Whisper.

His body shuddered, depleted of mana, yet he remained standing tall.

His gaze fell upon the fallen guard whose life force he had consumed for his revival.

"I apologize… but your sacrifice granted me a second chance."

He then addressed the defenders. "The horde is diminishing… Just hold on a little longer!"

He voiced this after Cloud confirmed that no further enemy reinforcements were emerging unexpectedly.

Victory was within reach, provided they could eliminate all the remaining creatures.

By the time the first rays of dawn kissed the fortress walls, the battlefield was a grim tableau of fallen corpses. The Vampire Lord remained imprisoned within Tris's magical bubble, emitting shrieks of powerless rage.

Although the conflict was far from concluded, the momentum had decisively shifted.

Remarkably, the Vampire Lord, who should have been commanding an army of Low-Tier Vampires, had been defeated and captured!

Shane harbored a fervent hope that this turn of events would mean the subsequent horde would lack any semblance of organized leadership.

Meanwhile, three days had elapsed since the commencement of the Cross-Apocalypse Event, and the vast oceans had transformed into a terrifying spectacle.

Akame's vessel endured relentless assaults from wyverns, their swarming forms blotting out the sky as they descended with scorching fire and razor-sharp claws.

The ship's crew fought with desperation, ballistae and rifles spitting projectiles skyward, but the sheer number of wyverns overwhelmed their defenses.

The predicament escalated dramatically when the very waters turned hostile.

From the depths below, murlocs and zombified sea creatures surged forth!

They clawed ferociously at the ship's hull, dragging defenders into the abyssal depths.

The ship pitched violently, its structural integrity strained to its absolute limit. Though no vampires had materialized, the combined onslaught of wyverns and aquatic abominations threatened to send them to a watery grave.

Akame, the resolute captain, stood unyielding at the helm.

His eyes tirelessly scanned the horizon, desperately seeking any sign of deliverance. Then, his gaze landed upon it… land.

An island loomed ahead… its shores represented their sole hope for survival.

"We'll capsize at this rate! All hands, prepare for landfall!" he commanded.

The crew responded instantly, steering the severely damaged vessel towards the beckoning sanctuary.

The ship creaked and groaned under the immense strain of the relentless battle, yet they miraculously reached the shore.

As they grounded, the weary survivors scrambled onto the sandy beach, continuing their desperate fight against the wyverns and sea creatures that relentlessly pursued them.

Exhaustion was a palpable weight upon them… Indeed, three days of continuous naval combat had severely depleted their strength.

However, reaching land ignited a flicker of hope!

This hope surged when they realized they were not facing the threat alone!

"Excellent!"

A human settlement was visible on the island, but their relief was short-lived as they observed it was also under siege. Waves of zombies, vampires, dragonoids, and wyverns relentlessly battered its defenses.

Akame's crew feared they had inadvertently sailed into yet another doomed battlefield.

Then, their eyes caught sight of something extraordinary.

Five colossal humanoid machines strode purposefully across the battlefield, towering mechs that dwarfed both men and the monstrous creatures alike!

"W-what in the world is that?"

Their immense metallic fists pulverized zombies, their advanced weaponry tore through vampires with ease, and their powerful cannons blasted wyverns from the very sky.

Engaging the draconic adversaries, they fought like mythical titans, scattering swathes of enemies with every devastating strike.

Akame and his crew watched, utterly captivated by the spectacle.

What had appeared to be an inevitable demise had transformed into an awe-inspiring vision of salvation.

The settlement was far from weak; it was a formidable bastion, fortified by technology and warriors of an unimaginable caliber!

"What in the heavens is this shelter doing, remaining hidden from everyone?"
