Shane infiltrated Alexander’s room amid his officers, unleashing Aura Suppression and Spirit Shackles to weaken and bind them. Protected by the Mantle of the Undying Storm, he countered their lightning assaults and skills with Afterimage Burst, Silent Execution, Venom Infusion, and Phantom Mirage. The fierce clash left the house in ruins as Zamora arrived to secure the panicked shelter, noting the foreign survivors' deaths and letting the shadow escape.

Shane was finally making his way back towards the safety of his shelter.

His planned expedition to the vast seas in search of the legendary Eden Islands had been put on hold.

At this moment, managing the Icarus Shelter, the home of the Icarus Ascension Complex, was the furthest thing from his mind.

Most of the daily operations at the shelter were being capably handled by his allies and a select few trusted individuals within the Eclipse Revenant Clan.

As Shane reviewed incoming messages detailing the current situation at the Blue Haven Shelter, a thought crossed his mind.

He couldn't shake the feeling that he might have been underestimating the perilous nature of the seas.

Since he was already going through his private messages, he decided to open the World Chat, just in case any information surfaced regarding the vampires or other pertinent matters.

However, the instant he accessed the World Chat, he realized that the fate of the Phoenix Phalanx Clan's leaders had already become common knowledge.

[ Riko (Sector 17): What the hell?! Alexander and the Vice Leaders are completely gone from the Clan List! Is anyone else seeing this? Their names vanished from my friends list. What about the others? Am I the only one who's been removed? ]

[ Maren (Sector 18): I just checked as well. Their names have completely disappeared. The Clan Leader position has been transferred to Sir Maximilian. ]

[ Veyra (Sector 15): Wait... You're discussing this in World Chat, not the Clan Chat. You shouldn't be spreading internal information. But Maximilian? That guy hardly ever engages in combat. He's an alchemist, not a warrior. How is he supposed to lead the Phoenix Phalanx? ]

[ Toren (Sector 20): Oh... I know about this. It's an automatic system. When the leader dies or disappears, the one with the highest contribution automatically inherits the title. This confirms that Alexander and the others are deceased since their names also vanished from others' Friend Lists. This is quite interesting. ]

[ Selene (Sector 13): Dead? Are you certain? Perhaps they simply left the clan and removed their friends. But I distinctly recall them clashing with the Eclipse Revenant before... ]

[ Riko (Sector 17): No, if they had left, their names would still be displayed as 'Former Member.' This is entirely different. They couldn't have just removed friends so easily. Regardless, this only happens when someone perishes. ]

[ Darius (Sector 16): Damn... The Phoenix Phalanx has just lost its core leadership. Alexander, the master of lightning, is gone. The Vice Leaders are also gone. This is a massive blow.... I'm curious who was responsible for their demise. The loot must be incredible. ]

[ Lyra (Sector 10): Who could have possibly accomplished this? Perhaps they attempted to raid an inadequate Zombie Lord. But if another Survivor was responsible, then they must possess immense strength. I won't speculate on who it could be, but I know everyone can likely guess. ]

[ Kellen (Sector 4): My bet is on Shane. He's been actively targeting them. We received word about what transpired a few days ago as well. ]

[ Mira (Sector 19): Bruh... Are you absolutely sure you're not just trying to ruin his reputation? What if he finds that offensive? Just kidding. That guy seems to be everywhere. I know what happened to Lancelot, so this isn't entirely surprising... The Phoenix Phalanx is finished. I believe they pushed too far. I have some insider information. LOL. ]

[ Elen (Sector 12): Don't underestimate them. Even with Alexander gone, the Phoenix Phalanx still commands several hundred members. Maximilian may not be a fighter, but he is intelligent. He could potentially rebuild the clan. ]

[ Veyra (Sector 15): Rebuild? Without their most powerful officers? A significant portion of the clan joined due to Alexander's exceptional lightning talent. Without him, their morale is bound to plummet. Furthermore, they have undeniably made enemies of many other clans. ]

[ Dax (Sector 6): Lol. The Phoenix Phalanx has always carried themselves with a certain arrogance. Now they find themselves without a leader. They deserved it. ]

[ Kael (Sector 8): Be cautious. Even in their weakened state, they still hold a ranking. Wait... They've vanished from the Top 20! With the disappearance of their core members, they've likely dropped to 50th place or even lower. Maximilian's expertise in alchemy could provide them with new weaponry. ]

[ Toren (Sector 20): Since they are no longer in the Top 20, their fate is sealed. As anticipated, they have fallen rapidly without Alexander's presence. Other clans will undoubtedly sense their vulnerability. ]

[ Riko (Sector 17): I am concerned. If Shane genuinely eliminated them, then he is truly unstoppable. Who will be targeted next? ]

[ Selene (Sector 13): He only targets those who have wronged him. The Phoenix Phalanx attacked and apprehended one of their clan members, proceeding to extract their organs and blood. They brought this upon themselves. ]

[ Maren (Sector 18): What? They did that? For what purpose? Still... Alexander was a prominent figure. His death has significantly disrupted the established balance. ]

[ Lyra (Sector 10): Remember, the Phoenix Phalanx maintained branches across Sectors 15 through 20. Those members are in a state of panic right now. Some are already abandoning the clan. ]

[ Mira (Sector 19): Well... I know a few individuals who are currently resigning. They lack confidence in Maximilian's ability to lead. ]

[ Darius (Sector 16): Maximilian's high contribution score was primarily due to his alchemy skills. He was responsible for supplying potions and explosives. However, leadership is an entirely different matter. ]

[ Kellen (Sector 4): If he possesses any intelligence, he will seek an alliance with another clan. Perhaps the Ember Order or the Serene Garden. ]

[ Elen (Sector 12): The Ember Order? They are known for their recklessness. The Serene Garden, on the other hand, prefers peace. Neither of these factions aligns with the typical style of the Phoenix Phalanx. ]

[ Veyra (Sector 15): Appearance is irrelevant. What matters is staying alive. Without Alexander, they require safeguarding. They face certain doom if they continue as they are right now... ]

[ Dax (Sector 6): Indeed, they will crumble. Truthfully, I wish for it. Fewer rivals, you see. ]

[ Kael (Sector 8): Do not rejoice prematurely. A faction of that magnitude does not simply cease to exist overnight. Even without Alexander, their coffers remain full. ]

[ Toren (Sector 20): Resources? Perhaps. But spirit dictates all. Presently, their members are in a state of panic within their private communications. That speaks volumes. ]

[ Riko (Sector 17): Maximilian has not uttered a word. No official statement. No words of comfort. Nothing at all. ]

[ Maren (Sector 18): That is detrimental. A leader's duty is to quell the clan's anxieties. Silence only amplifies their fear. ]

[ Selene (Sector 13): Perhaps he is still contemplating. Assuming command after Alexander's demise presents significant challenges. ]

[ Lyra (Sector 10): Contemplating or not, the world is already aware. The Phoenix Phalanx is exposed and vulnerable. ]

[ Travis (Sector 13): Their brethren are apprehensive. Their adversaries are triumphant. This is sheer pandemonium... On a side note... If any members of the Phoenix Phalanx are seeking to join my Clan, you are welcome. However, not precisely. You would be integrated into my secondary Clan, established by my second-in-command. Understood? Send me a message if you are interested. ]

[ Darius (Sector 16): What? Are you serious, Sir Travis? Shane's name is frequently mentioned. If he was indeed responsible for this, you might become his next target... What if Shane were to confront you directly and eliminate you for harboring them? ]

[ Kellen (Sector 4): That is a valid concern. Shane's notoriety escalates with each confrontation. First Lancelot, now Alexander. Who will be next on his list? It could potentially be you, Sir Travis. I believe it would be prudent to decline this particular offer. ]

[ Elen (Sector 12): Precisely, Travis... Whoever they may be, they would be wise not to incur his wrath. Shane holds the Rank 1 position for a compelling reason. ]

[ Veyra (Sector 15): The Phoenix Phalanx dared to provoke him, and observe the consequences. Do not tread that path... ]

"What in the world?" Shane could not suppress a slight chuckle upon observing how Travis was being intensely cautioned by others, as though he had committed an offense by agreeing to shelter former members of the Phoenix Phalanx.

He was certainly not that malevolent.

Furthermore, Travis was an associate, and he would not even permit them entry into his primary faction, but rather into his secondary one, which was likely not even among the Top 40 Clans.

In any event, it provided some amusement to peruse their exchanges, so he continued reading until he reached the conclusion.

[ Dax (Sector 6): Haha. Lesson learned... do not trifle with Shane. ]

[ Kael (Sector 8): Nevertheless, Maximilian might offer a surprise. Alchemists possess considerable potential. Should he devise novel artifacts or concoctions, the Phoenix Phalanx could experience a resurgence. ]

[ Toren (Sector 20): Or they could collapse internally. Regardless of the outcome, the clan as we understood it is no more. ]

[ Riko (Sector 17): I have just observed additional members departing. The Phoenix Phalanx is hemorrhaging talent. ]

[ Maren (Sector 18): Absent Alexander, they are merely another clan of middling influence. ]

[ Selene (Sector 13): However, if Shane is currently monitoring these discussions, I implore you to grant me sanctuary... I understand joining the Clan is not feasible, but residing as a permanent inhabitant would suffice! ]

Shane found her intriguing. He had been observing a multitude of messages from this particular individual. Given that she posted more than three World Chats daily, she must have been granted additional chat privileges, much like himself, following the attainment of certain accomplishments.

Following a period of deliberation, Shane resolved to respond!

[ Shane (Sector 15): Selene... Your messages have not gone unnoticed. If you are capable of reaching it, I shall grant you permanent residency in the Blue Haven Shelter. It is situated in the furthest eastern reaches of Sector 20, meticulously constructed to serve as an optimal port metropolis. We are in need of individuals who can make valuable contributions. ]

[ Selene (Sector 13): ...Wait. Did Shane just respond? Oh good heavens. Thank you! I shall make my way east without delay. ]

[ Riko (Sector 17): WHAT?! Shane actually communicated in the world chat! ]

[ Maren (Sector 18): Blue Haven Shelter? The extreme east? That is a considerable distance, yet if it is to become a port city, its potential for growth is immense. ]

[ Lyra (Sector 10): He is actively recruiting in the open. That is remarkably audacious. ]

[ Darius (Sector 16): A port city signifies the establishment of trade routes. If Shane gains control of this, he will dominate maritime ventures. ]

[ Kael (Sector 8): Haha. Everyone will now endeavor to relocate towards the east. ]

[ Toren (Sector 20): Let us set the shelter aside momentarily... Shane would not manifest here without a significant event transpiring. Did he truly vanquish Alexander? ]

[ Mira (Sector 19): Indeed, speculation has been rampant. Shane, would you care to provide confirmation? ]

[ Shane (Sector 14): Affirmative. I eradicated Alexander and his executive officers. They transgressed boundaries when they inflicted harm upon Roan. This is the unvarnished truth. ]
